Everything had been pretty normal. Except being pregant, that was very different... and they moved so strangely inside her. It was bizar really, how different that was. But it was nice, and she was fairly certain that she liked them already, and she didn't know them. But something about them seemed... very right. And so few things in her life had ever felt right before going to the Peke Na and meeting Gin again.
It was about then that it hit her. She moaned a second, stopping dead as she moved to leave the den. "This... isn't really... normal..." She said quietly, "Silvertongue... I feel... funny."

Gin was sick with worry as soon as her due date roamed around. He was a wreck, preparing the den with fuzzy things and leaves, making sure she was well fed, everthing he could think of that would be needed in her time. He was barely sleeping, barely eatting. He was a nervous wreck.
He lifted his head from the outside of the den, where he was busy putting up branches over the entrance to shade it. He dropped the branch that was in his mouth and hurried over to stick his head into the den. "Funny?" He asked, his forhead wrinkling. "Like-Haha-funny?" He questioned, looking nervous

Ani gave him the look. The look that said, as her hormons had developed lately - 'make another joke like that and I'm going to be violent with you dear'. But then she grunted, shaking her head, "Nope... this is not... funny... at all... this is..." She grunted again, sinking down.
"...Gin... babies are coming. Right. Now." She told him, trying to hold back the emotions that were flooding into her. Emotions that she really didn't like to show... but it kind of hurt. A lot. Lot. "Babies. Right. Now." She repeated, making sure there was no room for interpritation on this one.

When she gave him that look, he knew it wasn't 'haha' funny and didn't need her to say it. He lowered himself into the den, abandoning his duty at covering the entrance. Now? They were on their way? He wasn't ready-the den wasn't ready either. He came closer to her, but not close enough to cramp her.
"Pain?" He said, looking worried. What was there that he could do for pain? Perhaps one of the healing dogs could do something, but he didn't want to leave her here, not like this. He blinked at her with golden eyes. "They are coming-let them come..." He said, nodding his head. What else could he say to her, tell her it was alright. I may not be alright, stuff could go wrong. He wasn't going to spoon feed her hopes. "Le them come."

Ani groaned a little, laying on her side and nodding her head, taking deep breaths as she tried to remember what the healers had told her about how this worked... deep breaths and push. Push hard.
"Babies... now..." Ani whispered, closing her eyes and pushing. She could already feel it... first came a girl, a little white thing with blue, just like her father... no spots though. But there were still more to come, she was certain of that much...

Puppies, puppies were coming. He felt his fur tingle and twitch, he was getting nervous. THere was nothing he could do to help her in this struggle. There was nothing, no words or herbs to give her. He pressed his head against the closest part of her and shut his eyes. He didn't want to see it happen, he would open his eyes when the pups came.
He then heard the tell tale squeak of a puppy. He opened his eyes, one after the other, spotting the white pup. He blinked, a puppy. A little girl puppy/ He was going to hyperventilate!

Ani took a few quick deep breaths, pushing hard as she felt the next one coming. A little girl again, same color as she was... but there was one left... one more waiting to come out. With one last push she finished off, a small boy settled amongst his sisters and she let herself slouch forward, completely relieved. It was over. No more and she was still alive. Everything was okay... a little family... her own little family...
"That's them... that's it..." She said, closing her eyes, "My little babies... my little babies are here..."

Gin couldn't help but smile at the sounds of pups squirming. Their little puppy sounds echoing in their den. He bent over her to stare down at the little puppies that were half his and half hers. Little pups that looked like them both. He bent down and beamed at them.
Little puppies to tell stories too. Little puppies to sing and play with. "It's our family Ani!" He chimed, looking at her with a sweet smile.

Ani smiled, looking up at Gin, "Finally... we have our own happy family..." She lay her head down, tired, "Gin... we finally have a happy family now..." And for the first time, ever, Ani was completely certain that she was exactly where she belonged. With those who meant everything to her... even if she didn't know them yet. "I love you."
