Liberty sighed softly as his ears flicked back and forth, his head hanging as he slowly but surely made his way from the herd that had been his life since he was born. He had spent the day saying his goodbyes and now...well like it or not she was going to accept him back into her life or he would die trying.

Forte laid on the ground. Ah, her home, though her daughter just recently left. Said that Liberty would come. She remembered Liberty, at least right now. She missed him so much. Maybe that's why she often forgot about him, because he was gone.

He shook his mane out as he peered through the bushes with a soft smile on his muzzle. There she was....his angel, one he knew he had abused and neglected, but he could only hope she would forgive him. Their need had been so great...

Her ears twitched, it felt like someone was watching her. Her blue eyes shifted around. But there was no one there. She wanted to sit up, but she didn't have the energy. It happened a lot lately, and she didn't know why. "Is someone there?"

"Someone that should have always been here. A worthless fool that broke something precious and can only beg to be forgiven."Liberty tried slowly into the clearing, his eyes dark with un-shed tears as he looked at her.

She hadn't been expecting to see him. And memories of their times together, flooded into her. She shot up onto her side. She smiled at him. She didn't hate him. But the hole on her heart that hurt so much at the thought of him... "Oh Liberty..."

He nickered helplessly as he all but cantered to her side, his face pressed against her shoulder as he made soft whuffing noises. "I am so sorry love, please forgive me. There is not excuse for the lousy mate I have been. I deserve to never hear you love me again, but I am selfish enough to hope you can give me a second chance."

She smiled and leaned her head against him. "Of course I can... I've been waiting for you to come." She nodded, snuffing a little to take in his scent. She missed it.

"I didn't want to leave you, or the girls it just...." He heaved a sigh, breathing in her scent. "There is no excuse I can offer to make it right...I can only tell you what happened if you wish to hear it..."

"I don't need to hear it." She looked over at him. "I knew you would find your way back here." She felt happy again.. The fog that was often in her mind was fading away.

He sighed softly as he slid his head back over her shoulder, till he was resting breast to breast with her. Gods how he had longed to be just like this the many long nights he had stood watch over Piya, little Runa sleeping by his side, looking so like her dam.

He felt warm. She hadn't been close to another like this since the last time they were together. She felt his heart beat on her, and she closed her eyes.

"I miss you so Forte, " his voice was deep with pain and love both

"I miss you too..." She smiled some Her voice was honest. She knew that they would have to be fixed before their family could be, and she was ready for it.

Unable to find anymore words, he nickered softly nuzzling her shoulder as he stayed close. Finally, back where he belonged.

She giggles some and then thought. "Though you just missed Starlet. She left for a while. I don't know when she'll be back."

He blinked faintly before giving her a sad smile, "I don't think she wanted to see me baby." Not if poor Runa's words had been true.

Forte blinked at him. "Really? She seemed fine.." Not that she would really know. Starlet didn't talk to her much. She spent all her time with that Stallion.

"Don't worry about it now love...we are together again and I am never leaving you."

She tilted her head some and smiled a little. "Ooh, so you'll suffocate me now huh?" Teasing him, and she lipped at his cheek.

"All over you all the time," he agreed with a soft chuckle, his heart leaping to hear her playfulness

She giggled at him again. And quickly settled back down. She was winded from all the sudden excitement. She would have to get back into shape if she wanted to keep up with him.

As if sensing her tiredness, Liberty chuckled nuzzling her gently, "Why don't we lay down and you tell me about my new herd here?"

She nestled in against his side. "Well... You obviously know Istas.. She was out first. She found herself a mate. Lailah, she's not around all that often because she's with her mate Vatican. He's a night dweller. " She glanced over at him "Lunar is still around, and quiet. Astrophel moved out, and now lives in the heavens with the other Angeni but he still visits, and Rotom... He's interesting. Could learn something from you... And Madoka, she's new. I don't know much about her"

He chuckled softly, "Sweetheart I only know Istas and Lunar. " His pink eyes darkened as he realized this was once more his fault, but when they landed on her again he smiled. That past was just that, the past, it was time for the future now.
