The Redwall series by Brian Jacques is a great series to read. It was originally written in braille for blind kids. Animals are the main characters, and it focuses mainly on these mice that live in Redwall Abbey. They have adventures, and solve mysteries, and go to war. The bad guys are mainly rats, ferrets, stoats, and cats. It's awesome, and definitely worth losing yourself in.

I am currently reading a Ghost Whisperer book called Revenge and then i have Burned from the House of Night series and Kiss of Death from the Morganville Vampire series coming in the mail.
Also i highly recommend the Maximium Ride series. Its about a group of kids who were genetically modified with bird DNA so they have wings and can fly. They spend alot of time on the run trying to get away from the people that created them and getting chased by kids who were altered with wolf DNA. Its a really good series and there is lots of action and even a little romance.
For anyone who really likes vampires i say read the Morganville Books. They are about a small town in Texas called Morganville. This town has a secret that most of the kids who come to the college in Morganville don't know. Join Claire and her friends in this small town as they deal with crazy vampires and a town hat is ruled by them. I love this series and wish more people read it.
Also the Darkest Powers Trilogy is also really good. Its about a young girl who can see ghosts. She is called a necromancer and she lives in a world full of supernaturals. When she gets sent to a group home she meets some other kids and finds out the dirty secrets of her powers and a group called The Edison Group.
