As the sun rose above the horizon, the wet grass made sparkling dots in Mauja's eyes. He usually wasn't up this early, but he spent the night alone, so he was actually able to sleep comfortably. He felt more refreshed today, and was in a better mood than previous days.
Rising from the ground, he could feel the heat start to absorb into his fur. The day just seemed happier to him. Maybe he should wake up early more often.
