The one with the unicorns, for those guild members who have heard me talk about more than one childhood friend. One of the reasons we were such good friends was because her birthday is the day before mine. We're going to the same school next year, so we've been talking a lot. Lucky, lucky me, she's Anti. But apparently, no one informed her cousins. So they got her a Twilight poster for her birthday. Her mom is letting her hide it in her closet until the cousins come over, but wouldn't you feel a little ripped off? That's a total white elephant. So, have you ever gotten a Twilight related gift from someone who didn't know you like Twilight? How did you respond?

Just read it for the anti-ness; tell her "thank you, I've been looking for a way to not waste money on this awful series. Now I can read it and make note of all the flaws." As for me, no. I told EVERYONE that I hate the horrible thing. Even my dad who lives farther away from me.

Happy Birthday, M!
I haven't gotten anything (and never will, God willing), but my sister got the Twilight Sweethearts as part of her birthday present from a family friend. She's a total anti, and her face was PRICELESS when she opened it. It can be best described as an 'Are you ******** kidding me?' expression.

I've never had that happen, but if were to happen I'd be like "Thanks." and then exchange it later. If I couldn't exchange it, I'd burn it. If the giver asked about it, I'd say my dog tore it up and I had to throw it away.
My younger cousins hate Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers as much as I do and last year our great aunt gave them each a Hannah Montana Sleepover Set. I was holding back my laughter when they opened it. They thanked her, but then told her that they hate Miley Cyrus.

If I got a copy of Twilight, I could laugh maniacally, thinking of all the terrible things I could do.
If I got a piece of Twilight merchandise, though, I would cry. And I hope I won't have to cry because my birthday's coming up. (Aug 20)

I haven't gotten anything Twilight related yet, but all of my cousins are major Twitards, and my aunt says she'll ship my present on the eighth.

I'm sorta happy that I'm a little too old to be getting all of these cliche adolescents stuff. No offense to those who are adolescents, but each age group has their sell outs that people who don't know the kid of said age group gets because it's simple and they think "Hey, everyone loves that!"
For example: Babies = Veggie Tales, Barney Preschoolers = Dora the Explorer Children= Jonas Brothers/ Miley Cyrus Adolescents = Twilight
I'm trying to think of things that go with Young, Middle, and Old Adulthoods, but I think most of the media that is mainly targeted to age groups is to the younger sets....
Anyone else think of anything?
For me, people know me well enough to know I love classic literature, those who think I would like Twilight I flat told them know. If I did get Twilight stuff though, I would regift it. I have no use for it nor do I want it in my possession.
Oh, and Happy birthday M!

I would've torn it to shreds, then when they come over, just tape it back together again.
Hehehe.
No. I do NOT spare other people's feelings.

I have rather eccentric tastes, especially with books. Having seen the cover art for the books I special-order from England, and been rather disturbed by it, people who know me just get me a Starbucks or Barnes and Nobles gift card.
