This journal has seen much abuse.
Pages warped and wrinkled from water, much of the letters have smeared and mutated into unrecognizable characters. The entire first half of the tome is illegible now.
The cover has fared little better. What the original colour is is impossible to guess, so stained is it, but two distinct features still remain: one are the scorch marks strung violently across the surface, almost as if they were the result of a bitter, vindictive act; and the other is the dribbling of some brilliant green substance along the bottom edge. It seems to emit a faint glow in dim lighting.
