Except that the huge image at the top is hosted by tinypic. >.<
Why do people feel the need to cheat and steal and lie for pixels? Of all
the things about Gaia that make me angry, this is the worst. It's supposed
to be a game for heaven's sake! I worry what this people are like in real
life. Has anyone else gotten these? Why do you think these Gaians try to
take advantage of others? crying

I haven't gotten one though I hope that no one is stupid enough to fall for that. It saddens me how some jerks try to ruin people's happiness on Gaia. sad

Because people's priorities are out of wack. scream
That is so ridiculous. Old Gaians like us can't be taken in by that, especially since Gaia nails into our head repeatedly not to give out our passwords.

But all of the newbies who don't know any better... eek Then again, I doubt that poor newbies would be targets.

Why don't they put that creativity elsewhere? Somewhere that actually matters for goodness sake...?

You can't even send personal messages or leave comments that have
your password in them. Gaia will reject your message and scream at you.
>.> That should really be a big hint to most people.
But if anyone was going to fall for it, it would be noobs. I've only been on
Gaia about four months, and had I not been adventurous enough to read
the help threads in the question and answer forums I wouldn't know how
to spot a staff impersonation. Well, actually I would--but you get my point.
Besides, why not hack noobs? One isn't worth anything, but you could get
a lot out of 10 or 12.

I can answer that, since I know them too. It was basically a screen shot of a glowing tank (someone else's) and when you clicked it, it said you couldn't play booty grab until you fill in this form:
Username Password E-mail Gold Amount
I actually saw one person trying to do that WITH HIS ACTUAL TANK IN HIS SIGNATURE BELOW THE FAKE TANK!!!! I mean seriously, get a clue man!!

At least that would make it easy to find out who is scamming you. I hope that all of those people are reported asap. Then again, they can use a mule for that and keep making more mules. sad

I didn't see the one LordM mentioned, but I have seen the fake login screen it goes to, (was being curious, knew it was a scam) It goes to a page that looks just like normal login page you'd see if your account has been idle for too long and you have to re-login. It'll have the gaiaonline header with the : Username Password box on it, and just a blank grey/textured brown background on the bottom part of the page. The thing is if you looked at your browser address bar, it'll say something other than http://www.gaiaonline.com/login or whatever it'd normally say. 3nodding Whenever I've been idle too long and gotten logged off, I goto my homepage which is gaiaonline, yea I'm a geek like that lol, but at least I know I'm not being scammed 3nodding

There's something else I noticed about this scam that may be helpful. The title is poorly written. There's at least one extra comma, and the capitalization is out-of-whack. I read the body of the letter in the image and it sounded pretty amateur. That tells me that it's not from the Gaia admins.
