So, we were at state marching festival last ear, and as we were marching off we realized that one of the bands in the stands had the SAME UNIFORM AS US! We were all like: "What the heck?" It was so weird! Especially because they had a similar amount of people as our band did. Then, they suddenly disappeared after awards. Creepy.
Anyone else had something like this happen where another band has similar or the same uniforms as yours?

I was watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in 2006. There was a band from, like, Alabama that had the same uniforms as us, but in black, and with a red thing on their hat. And our uniforms aren't exactly generic. (pic; yes, I'm in it. Take a wild guess at which one I am.)
That same year, one of the other bands in the parade played the song we used for our percussion feature -- Hoedown from Rodeo.
That's the only time I've ever seen anyone in similar uniforms to ours.... Even our concert uniforms are different -- we're the "gothic band" during concert season; we wear black tux pants, black shoes, black socks, black tux shirts... the only thing we wear that's not black is our white button cover over the top button. All the other bands wear white shirts and black pants with cummerbunds and bowties that match their school colours.

The band I'm in hasn't had that happen...yet, but my freshman (or maybe sophomore) year, we went with the football team to one of the playoff games, and one of our tuba players looked exactly like one of the other bands people. I think the other guy was percussion, or trumpet, or somethin'.

Seriously?! What was your show? That is in our Aaron Copland show this year! Weird!

My colleges have had custom uniforms. Even if someone had a similar one, ours have our school logo embroidered on the front. And I don't think anyone has the same school colors and logo. I'm not sure about our high school though. Those uniforms were more generic, but they were a lot older than most bands, and therefore seemed more...traditional. So I never saw another band with them.

Seriously?! What was your show? That is in our Aaron Copland show this year! Weird! Our show was "American Reflections" -- America from the Jazz Singer, Hoedown from Rodeo, That's a Plenty, and then Amazing Grace/Johnny Comes Marching Home.
Hoedown was the most fun to perform (HATED playing it, though)... it started with a solo, and we all just got to like, meander around the field and freeze in awkward positions every eight counts. (At first they said "Whatever you want," then they said "Whatever you want that isn't violent" because the saxes were hanging themselves with their neckstraps, and then they said "Keep it G-rated" because a trombone player flashed everyone at practice.) And then we got to yell "BEEF" at the end. Fun times...

The clarinet part is too easy, though when put together, the songs sound good. Fanfare for the Common Man Appalacian Springs episode 1 (I'm not sur eof the order at this point) Hoedown from Rodeo Apalacian Springs Chorale Appalacian Springs Finale(I know this is our closer) We have a lot of songs...

Our school has custom uniforms, but it could happen because they're not that outlandish. Our BD's son designed them. 3nodding At my previous school we had purple jackets with gold lining and blak pants, so there wasn't much of a chance of that happening there either. That must have really sucked though. Some of our members would have went and stood in the middle of their band just to cause trouble. sweatdrop What can you do? There's a few in every band.

It hasn't happened to us yet, but its only matter of time now that we got new uniforms this year. They look like poop and barely have any of our school's colors on it, and they took away our cape. DX

Ha, Nightmares: Yours look a bit like our rich part of town school, Catalina Foothills. They are blue and white, and pretty close to your uniforms.
They are also complete snobs...

We never had something like that happen. I mean, who would copy our uniforms. Our uniforms look like we're about to go in the Revolutionary War.

Nope. Awesomely. Were your's the same color. We are the only school with purple in the whole state. The announcer had us mixed up with another school cuz both of our names are CCHS.

Ours were custom made this year and our BDs designed them and made the company sign a contract refusing them to sell any uniforms with our exact colors on them, so I think we are good. They look like this(not me btw, I just grabbed a random picture off of the website
