The land had thus far been barren, but the Visions had told them this was the place to come. Dark shadows on a bare landscape, the Sisters walked. Ahead, a darker female, behind, following the sounds of the paw-steps, the lighter of the pair, pale as the moon above them, clear in its inky sky. She looked up at it, directly at the moon, and a warm smile passes over her face, before once again falling into step with her sister.

To say they were sisters was a bit of an exaggeration. They were more cousins, born of fathers that were brothers, and mothers that were sisters. Yet, they were near identical, just polar contrasts. They survived for each other, because of each other, and thus far on their journeys, it had served them well. They relied only on their skills, one a talented Seer, the other a skilled Killer. It suited the lighter female, for in her forced blindness, Paesan'Lati felt uncomfortable not to be on the move, and her sister's taste for lion-flesh certainly required them to move on a lot of the time. She herself enjoyed the taste, for without it, she certainly couldn't survive, for she found it impossible to catch her own food. She stopped again, and rumbled low in her chest. Her eyes roved in their sockets, looking blindly this way and that. Her ears twisted and her senses tingled with a rotting smell. She hacked a cough from her throat, and spit out the taste that was enveloping her mouth.

"What is that smell? Sister! Tell; who comes our way?" As quickly as the smell engulfed her and the feeling of being watched passed, she was released. She remained, a little shaky, stood where she was, eyes focused blindly on her sister's face. "We are being followed... I can feel it..." The pale sister's ears flattened, glancing from side to side.

He always felt he possessed a destiny, a reason for being, but what that reason was baffled and confused him. He had never really found his place in the world and because of this he travelled, following his paws where ever they decided to lead him. That night he slept fitfully, feeling the movement of the shadow through his dreams, he watched as it staggered across the land casting some strange eerie air across the barren world it wandered, then as he tried to stand to follow the creature his dream changed and two new beasts flashed before his eyes, black and white, was all he saw before his coal grey eyes flung open.

Blinking owlishly the pale green male rose to his paws, licking his lips he shook his head ridding his mind of the haziness of sleep. Opening his mouth he stuck out his tongue in an almost comical manner, attempting to cast the taste of a broken dream from his mouth. Naps were never good for him, they often unnerved him and this one had been no exception, however the appearance of something new irked him, his dreams followed the same path, he was almost used to following the hazy shadow across some part of the savannah, but this new dream, two new things, two new creatures, he didn't really want to have to follow anything else in his mind, one odd beast was enough for any lion.

Casting his gaze off from his sleeping place he was taken aback, there below him almost on the horizon strode two lionesses, one black, one white, shaking his head he blinked rapidly and bit his own paw, just to check he was definitely awake (it hurt, he definitely was) something in his dream was here before him? What should he do about it? Standing spread eagled and looking entirely more dumb than he truly was, he whispered "Hello?" perhaps figments of your imagination needed to be greeted, even though he had never had to greet one before, and these two were certainly no longer figments. He could smell them, they were females that was for sure, but why had they come to his dreams? No one else ever had, he supposed he would find out soon enough.

User ImageRandar'Reik led her blind sister on dutifully, dark eyes scanning the land before and around them, ears perked forward. Always forward. There was no going back, in a figurative or literal sense. Their actions, their destinies, prevented any such retrospect. And besides, if there were something in the past, something they had left, that was worth seeing again then it would have been worth lingering with. So far, nothing had struck Randar to be so important as to slow their wandering.

When she heard her sister growl she paused, looking toward her slowly. The lighter of the pair had much better hearing and sense of small, really keener senses all around, than her brutal counter part. Randar sniffed at the air, wincing at the scent and wrinkling her nose in distaste. She growled, looking around.

It was not a very smart idea to follow behind these two.

Not doubting Paesan's assessment, Randar was not surprised when she saw the lion coming toward them from behind. She turned and stood protectively in front of her companion, nudging her in warning that the threat was at their backs. His look was strange, to say the least, and for a moment Randar didn't think it was a lion. Whatever it was, she didn't want to eat it.

Lucky boy.

"What do you want?" she asked impassively, only her eyes betraying how dangerous she could be.

Paesan'Lati stood quietly, listening intently. Her ears picked up the male's approach, and she narrowed her blind, silver eyes to his direction. Could he not smell the blood-scent that always followed them? Not sense the strength hidden within the smaller, feminine bodies? Obviously not, for approach he did, and her sister gave her the customary nudge to warn her of the possible danger they had found themselves in. Paesan remained quiet as her sister addressed the other, and she listened to the venom that dripped from her tongue with a shiver of pride. Her sister was always so strong, so able to protect. It gave her pride to know that this female travelled with her, looked after her.

Slowly sitting behind her sister, flashes of Vision obscured her darkness. Pale, rotting flesh, flies, a Lion of golden hue, with ribs showing and eyes missing. She shook her head, these mere snapshots of a wider story confusing her. She set them to the back of her mind. Her skill was haphazard at best, but she knew when the Sight was coming to her, and she knew she would need to find somewhere without intrusion to give herself fully to the skill. She waited, patiently. It was her prerogative. To run from this male she could taste on the air would only make them more suspicious, and that was not something that would help them in the long term, should they need to stay in these parts for any amount of time.

"Why are you here?" It was a simple enough question, and certainly wasn't said with any malice, it was more said with confusion, less of a why and more of a where did you come from you were just in my dream. Licking his green lips the tan maned male flickered his tail casting his glance between the two.

Shaking his head he tried to cast away the vision he had received, he hardly ever saw anyone else in his dreams. They solely involved that shadow that traversed the land looking upon creatures whom were at deaths gate. he saw much death and relief in his dreams so why would these two show up?

"I have never seen anyone before whom actually appeared." Another confused sort of statement, what was he supposed to say in this situation? Hey you were just in my dream, you want to stay out of them? He snorted inwardly, it would be a fools game to state such a thing, he knew he had something special about him and these two, they did to, he just didn;t know what exactly it was. "Who are you?"

Randar watched him with a dense, dangerous air about her. Though her manner and face seemed impassive, she was anything but. Eyes keen, her ears twitched when she heard her sister move behind her to sit down. She remained standing, firmly rooted to her protective spot in front of her blind companion.

The male lion, spoke and she eyed him. He didn't sound very threatening. There was no growl in his voice. Nothing underneath his question. It was harmless enough. For now, she didn't need to attack him.

"Seen?" she said, hearing the word as he had meant it. Not by its common definition, but in allusion to visions. Like her sister? She tensed, thinking it might be some kind of trick. Their reputation was ahead of them, perhaps? And someone was trying to play them for fools. Cautious, but not showing it, she tilted her head.

"We are passing through," she answered his questions definitively with that. If Paesan wanted to let him know their names she was more than welcomed to, but Randar would not hand them over so readily. She was the muscle, the guard, and she would do that job in all lights. She would protect their bodies as well as information about them.

But she couldn't help some minor interest here. He had said 'seen' in that way, and now she wanted to know just what he saw of them.
