It was simple. Du needed a vacation. Between his sister decomposing all over the place, and the hoard of untidy, rowdy messy shedding winis at Lural's place, Du was out of there. Let someone else clean for a while. He slipped out the front door while no one was looking, and wandered away. Maybe he could hang out at the shop where amulets kept finding their way to unsuspecting humans. And it wouldn't be his job to clean! Though it was his nature to put things away. If something was askew, it would simply bother Du to no ends until it was fixed. He padded along the side of the road until he came to the shop that winiko were just drawn to. The door was open, letting in the nice summer breeze. It looked rather empty, so he figured no one would mind if he let himself in. The front room seemed in order. The battle worn beanbag chairs were patched and re-beaned. There was even a new one. And the couches that North, Dos, and Cheveyo had destroyed were replaced recently. They still smelled like new! Du enjoyed the scent for a while before he started walking to the back of the shop. The kitchen area, and bedrooms for wayward winis and their owners. Seriously, this shop had everything. It was worth exploring, so long as no one was here.

Pomp had been spending her afternoon avoiding the annoyance of her owner's other Winiko's idiocy by lurking about. It was one of her preferred pastimes. She was enjoying a surprisingly empty shop and was perched atop one of the rafters towards the back of the shop waiting and watching for something interesting to happen. It seemed there was always a show of some sort going on down there. This out of the way area was free of dust and cobwebs. Since Pomp disliked casually running into them and equally disliked mussing up her clothes she kept the area nice and tidy. It was the least she could do since she spent so much time up there. Pomp was half dozing when Du approached the back of the shop. The motion of the Winiko below caught her attention and she perked up. She had seen him before but had never actually met the green fellow. The other very similar Winiko was not with him... Interesting. This piqued her interest. Rustling slightly Pomp leaned over the ledge of the rafter trying to figure out what the strange Winiko down there was up to.

Du's ear twitched. He heard the rustle above. He figured someone must be upstairs. Ah well, they'll be surprised when they come down. Du decided to clean a little. This place did look a little too... 'lived in'. It stank of demon. And worse yet: Wet demon. What in all the dimensions went on in here when he wasn't around anyways?
Shaking his head, Du wandered to the end of the short hall and looked for something. A bucket perhaps. Or a sponge he could push around with his paws. It never occurred to him that maybe the store wasn't modified to be wini accessible. How many wini actually used the faucets here? None probably.
But to his delight, he had no problem with the faucet in the lower bathroom, and even though he got soap in his mouth, he got the bottle top open and when the water was juuuuuuuuust soapy enough, he went to work.
When the floor was wet and slick, and since he figured no one was around, Du took a running start and slid down the hall "wheee!"

At first she watched in confusion. It sounded like the other Winiko was having far too much fun. She lept over to a rafter closer to the hallway entrance before carefully jumping down. Unfortunately for Pomp she had not realized the floor was THAT slick.
Upon landing on the soapy floor she instantly slipped. Her "graceful" landing made quit the odd jingling "reee?!" sound as she yelped in surprise.

As soon as he heard the pads of feet hit the ground, Du froze. At least, his body went ridged. He still slid on the floor until his rump bumped the wall. He looked around and laid eyes on an orange jingling mass slip on the floor. His hackles raised. Well, the parts that didn't flake off were raised. "Y... your going to... get my floor dirty." He accused.
Honestly, he didn't know what to say, nor did he know where this demon had come from. He was about to take a step forward when he saw that his sliding had left little bits of himself on the floor. He shuddered. "messy messy."

"T-That hurt..." Pomp was trying her best to not be upset over her mistake in judgment. She didn't like being seen as a fool unless she was purposefully gallivanting about.
She carefully and slowly got up trying to assess the damage. Nothing was damaged except for her pride. The oddly shaped splotches of water and suds were only mildly distressing. At least the water was cleanish. It would come out in the wash.
Pomp took a few woobling steps towards Du. "I'm not going to make it that bad am I?" She sheepishly asked.

"I haven't cleaned the rafters... the... ceiling! You came from the ceiling, so you're probably covered in dust!" As she approached, he backed up a little more, curling into the corner, eyeing the orange girl.
"If... If you don't want to make it worse, how about you help make it better!" He wasn't sure what she would do. He never thought anyone cleaned as well as he did. He tried backing up more, trying to pass through the wall. His paws slid out from under him, and he landed on his haunches. "UGHF! Soap butt! My a** will smell like lemons for a week!" Just so long as he didn't fart bubbles, he would be happy. That one time, it was super embarrassing. Hey, it's not his fault his decaying skin absorbs the soapy water. But he's been more careful since then.

The ceiling... what was so odd about that? Her ears fell back a bit. Pomp was having a hard time deciding if she felt horrified by how bad he thought it was up there or insulted that he thought she was filthy.
"Please, let me help you. Just tell me what to do." Pomp continued moving towards him. Perhaps if she was closer he would be able to tell how clean she was before her earlier introduction to the wet floor. She was accustomed to the slight slipperiness now and was no longer wobbling with every step. The sudden skid and outbursts however startled Pomp enough to make her take a step back. "Well that's better than falling in rubbish, right?"

Du had to stop for a moment and bit his tongue a little. "Well, that is true. That would be.... that would be utterly horrid. About as bad as this place gets when the humans get together. So many foot prints. So much trash." He shuddered thinking about it. "So, you want to clean, hmmm? How are you at... say... washing windows?" He was still wary of this gaily adorned demon. He'd have to test her. "Maybe you should be my apprentice. I'll test you on your cleaning skills." He grinned a little. Maybe he could run her through the ringer, and she would leave him alone.
It's not that Du wasn't social. He just didn't like meeting new people. They always seemed rowdy and dirty. Though, maybe this joker wasn't as bad. She wasn't covered in grime and grit like his house mates often were. And she wasn't decomposing everywhere, leaving skin bits and hair in the oddest of places like his twin, Vu.

"Windows.... Sure I can do windows." Pomp gave a small yet enthusiastic nod that created a quick clattering jingle. "I'm on it." With that she skittered away jingling as she went.
Once she was away Pomp began trying to plan. Even though she had never cleaned windows she had cleaned other things. The human had done it in front of her before. If a human could do it then so could she. Thinking to herself Pomp knew the task needed 3 things: container of soapy cleanser water, cloth, and window.... Perhaps even some sort of secondary dry cloth for conclusive drying.
"Hnnnn..... Cloth....." She began pacing about the main room looking for acceptable non-scratchy looking cloth. The bean bags were too big and already something of substance. Bad materials are a good way to get a bad start. She continued searching.

Du watched her go as she surveyed the room. Maybe she wouldn't be too bad at cleaning. He righted himself and began cleaning up his shed mess of... self. "There are clean rags in one of the closets." He gave her a hint. "Or I suppose you could find some clothes. I think the shop keepers keep some form of garments around here."
Du vaguely recalled Augustus's story about the cloth slingshot, only to be corrected by Lural that it was clothes. Surely there must have been other clothes around here then too. Well, no point in making things take longer then they needed to. Du decided to fetch the girl a bucket of water for her task. She wasn't hard to find afterwards either. Just follow the jingling. The sound was kind of pleasant.
"Alright minion, remember, I'm going to grade you on how well you do." He said before setting about to move the beanbags of the main room so he could efficiently clean.
