You guys definately have some potential, but it wasn't too good, to be honest. The drums can be a bit off kilter at times, and the guitarist really, really needs to turn the gain down, maybe add a little more Mid, and a bit less Presence. But, if you keep working at it, this could be pretty good, man. Keep it up.

Hey thanks for the critique! I def. agree with you, but try telling that to my guitarist sweatdrop he's got a Peavy JSX full stack and he sets it on "Metallica" settings - 10 bass and treb, 3 mids. What a waste... I'm hoping when we get the mastered tracks back it's won't be as bad, he'll prob eq everything down at least. Yeah, as my own worst critic I hate the drums on this and all I can hear are my own mistakes, but I gotta live with it. Not too bad for only having one 8 hr. drum track day in the studio though I guess, by the end I was wasted and it was tough to get 'em all done.
But I gotta say these songs are really frickin' fun to play on stage!!!

I bet. Honestly, not a big fan of metal music in general. It's one of those things where it's okay every once in a while.
And you're right, that is a waste. In my opinion, you should never have anything set to 10, but that's me. Too much is too much, you know?

If it was recorded that way you won't be able to EQ anything more mid-ranged out of it without ruining fidelity.
Will listen to these when I'm not slamming my own loops extremely loud.
