 When was the last time she had stepped outside her home? Her son was out, wandering around somewhere with friends, or just enjoying the good weather.
It had been so long... Oni kept walking around, her different colored eyes darting around. The pretty fae's eyes landed on a girl lying in the grass. Oni stepped up and her timid voice spoke up.
"Excuse me miss, have you seen my son?"

Azzurra blinked up at the face now obscuring her view of the sky. "Um, hi!" she replied, as she quickly gathered her scattered thoughts.
She furrowed her brow a moment as she thought. "I don't really remember someone coming by here... what does he look like? And how old is he? Maybe I can help you look."

Oni smiled just slightly, thinking about her dear son. Ashitaka was her world now that... Kokoro... Kokoro would be back one day. Oni steeled herself for a moment.
"Ashitaka is a bit older than you dearie. He's mostly purple with some red marks, and silver hair. Normally he's playing a flute or drum or something with music. He's a good boy, I just need him to fix some things around the house that I can't reach."
She chuckled, her oddy colored eyes peered around the area. Trying to see where the boy could have gone to.

Azzurra bounced to her feet. "I'll help you look! Or I guess I could try to help with whatever you need, but I don't think I'm any taller than you are."
She looked around, wondering where would be best to look. "Do you have any idea where he might be?"

Oni chuckled, one paw flying up to cover her mouth when she did so. One eyebrow lifted and she peered around.
"No, no. I don't think you're much taller than me either dear. I'm not sure where Ashitaka ran off. I'm sure he's out enjoying the pretty weather or something just as normal."
She shook her head, those different colored eyes still wandering around. This young fae was such a sweet heart. She's just the kind of fae that would be perfect for her son. At least, if first impressions were anything.

The young fae furrowed her brow in thought. "Well... then I guess we should look in different directions? We could agree to meet back in a little while, and that way we should find him faster!" She grinned. "There's a big tree not too far from here, I could try climbing it. If you go the other direction, ma'am, then we'll be able to see a whole lot of the area really quickly."

"That sounds like a good idea dear. You go to the tree, I'll walk further into the forest a bit. We'll meet back in say, twenty? He's probably sitting somewhere, minding his own business with his nose in a book, so he might not hear you shout."
With that the older fae began to wander toward the trees.

Azzurra nodded to the older fae, and then jogged off in the direction of the tall tree. It took her a little while to get to it, and then she stood at the bottom, looking up. She'd only climbed the bottom part before... Not to be deterred, however, she reached for the first handhold, and started up.

She began to walk through the different trees, her different colored eyes taking in the different areas. Searching for her son, she would give Ashitaka a good talking to when all this was done. Even if he was old enough to live on his own, and be his own fae.
Ashitaka was all she had left. If he left... if her only son left, then it would be the end of Oni.

((Aw... poor Oni. =P))
Although she wasn't climbing particularly quickly, Azzurra's steady pace brought her up the tree before too long. She paused briefly at the highest point she'd climbed before, to look out and see if she could spot Ashitaka... but no luck. With that she started higher, being more careful as the branches became thinner. Every so often she would pause and look again, to see if she saw anything that might be him.

(( <__< Hope you don't mind, I'm adding in another fae of mine )) Oni kept on looking. Though, of course if she stopped to think, her son was well grown and more than able to take care of himself. But would that stop her from being a mother? Of course not!!!
She heard something all of a sudden. Something only a mother's ears could be tuned for. A child was crying. She rushed over to the sound without thinking. It was there she found a ... baby? Oni quickly scooped up the poor thing, making shushing noises and starting to walk back to where the other female fae was waiting.

From her high vantage point, Azzurra saw Oni returning, although she didn't see any male fae with her. She was confused, but could only conclude Oni had found something, so she started climbing back down the tree. She had just gotten to the bottom when Oni reached the tree. "Did you find him?"

Oni stood in front of the other fae, but before she could speak the little one began to cry. She quickly rocked the baby, shushing her back into a contented mood.
"No, I found someone who needs me a little bit more than my son does right now. Would you walk with me to the house please? I don't think I can open the door and keep her calm."
After all, the other fae was such a sweet thing. Such a good dear.
