Questing Basics
It's important to remember that each Luxia is composed of three things - a worldly essence, an incense oil and a soul. To capture said soul, you must have the first two items within the lamp to attract it. The essence and oil will decide the majority of your Luxia's physical attributes.
The Essence. The essence can be anything found on earth, within reason [it must be able to exist in a bottle]. If you choose someting large or unwieldy, it can be broken down. [EX: mountain stone, chip of elephant tusk, oak leaf, tropic rain drops, etc.] Try to keep your essence ideas as real world as possible! We don't necessarily frown on amazing or otherwordly essences, but they are more likely to be used for special events and the like. The Essence is the catalyst for your Luxia's hair and eye color, as well as their garments. It may also determine the appearance of any extra growths [wings, horns, etc].
The Oil. Very simple and to the point, the oil is anything that smells good - it's all to the nose of the beholder! The liquid can sometimes be a little less traditional, such as milk, blood, tears, etc, but these will be on a special basis. The Oil will determine skin coloring and markings, as well as that of any extra growths [wings, horns, etc].
Inbetween. Some essences and oils can contain the same base but be different in how you use them: an essence of sage would be the soft, silver stalks of a sage plant, whereas a sage oil would be the liquid scent. Maple leaves would be crumpled bits of a leaf that was once alive, whereas maple oil would be the sweet, syrupy scent mostly associated with pancakes. You are free to use such inbetweens however you see fit, but please make sure you are clear in your distinction.
Naturally, don't let these suggestions deter you! If we are going to use as special essence or oil in an event, or otherwise feel the choices don't quite fit the realm of Luxia, we will say so in your thread!

Quest Thread Rules
- Shop rules apply here! Please use common sense.
- Please limit your quest thread to three Luxia at any given time.
- Please note that any vague essence [a feather, a scale, a tree leaf] or essence restricted to color differences [a blue eye, a green tea, a black hair] can be used more than once.
- The same can be said for oils, as oils WILL be reused.
- Any distinguished essences will not be allowed to be repeated in creation. For example, many people could be questing for an essence of fox hair, but only ONE person will be able to claim it as a custom. This will be first come, first served, unless tooaya or Chrystali say otherwise. The reason for this is to dissuade people from starting quests for Luxia and abandoning them, thus tying up the essences and oils that other people may want to quest for in earnest.
- The only way to 'reserve' an essence [oils cannot be reserved] is to post the progress of funds for said custom. It must be updated once every other month [just put the date next to the total]. The length of time an essence/oil can be reserved is not yet decided, and can be discussed on an individual basis.
- If you'd like critique on your concept, feel free to ask anyone in thread of one of the staff members!

Layout
In a quest thread, there's a few definite things we need to see:
- Name
- Gender
- Essence
- Oil
- Color of skin, hair and any markings
- Any additional appendages/features your Luxia may have
- A good description of what you'd like to see
A few other suggestions would be to elaborate on your choices [describe the essence to us; the oil is fairly self explanitory, but a link to a more rare or unusual oil for information would be great!], to tektek your Luxia, and to give it a base personality. These things are not necessary but might help tooaya to decide how interested she'd be in doing your Luxia! It would also seperate your Luxia from anyone else using similar essences/oils. Also, please try to keep complex body modifications [snake bodies, cloven feet, tentacles, etc] to a minimum.
