"Six....seven.....eight.....nine.....TEN! Ready or not! Here I come!" came the voice of the spirited young Celia. She was it, and she was ready to find her friend Snowbell who was supposed to be hiding nearby.
The area consisted of big rocks, and bushes, and some areas of tall grass, along with trees. Lots of trees. Celia had been crouched down, with her paws over her eyes while she counted to ten. She had always been proud of herself for knowing how to count. She smiled to herself, and stood up, taking a quick glance around in case she might spot where her friend might be. Not noticing any out of place blues or whites, she took off in the direction of a nearby tree, to try and find her friend. She attempted to stay quiet, but occasionally a small giggle would escape her lips.

Luminous blue eyes peeked out from under a log, and Snowbell couldn't help but giggle gleefully to herself as she watched Celia race by. This was the perfect hiding spot! She knew her friend would never find her here.
It was a tight squeeze under the fallen log, but Snowbell had magically managed to fit herself beneath it--with a little help from the rotten moss growing on the underside. It was icky and gross and dirty, and it was so...much...fun! A laugh burst out of the little gladier, and Snowbell immediately covered her mouth with her paws.
"Oops," she whispered. She quickly looked around to see if Celia had heard her...If she had, the game would be over too soon!

Celia made her way towards the tree she had in her sight, but as she passed a fallen log, she heard a giggle that was not her own. "Aha!" she thought, "I bet she's over here somewhere."
She quickly turned around, and bounded over to the log, not keeping quiet in her haste. She laughed, and cried out, "Found ya!" as she jumped on top of the log, scrambling to get on top, and peek over the top. She just knew that Bells was on the other side, but when she looked, her wide smile turned to a frown. She wasn't there!
"What?! But I just heard her from over here...." she thought to herself. Her little wings wiggled with the excitement that flowed through her. She hopped down on the other side of the log, and continued her search for her friend. She didn't even think to check under the log.

Snowbell held her breath as she heard running footsteps suddenly approaching her hiding spot. "Oh no, Celia heard that!" she thought. She held as still as possible, but flinched when the log shuddered suddenly. It sank a few inches, and Snowbell was pushed into the muck underneath. She cringed, thinking that maybe icky wasn't fun anymore.
There was a thud, and the weight on the log lifted. Snowbell watched as four powder blue paws landed on the ground in front of her hiding place and started to trot away. Success! She had almost given herself away, but Celia didn't manage to find her after all. She was now covered in much head to toe, however, and was quickly tiring of this hiding spot. Maybe she could sneak off to a better place while her friend wasn't looking....
Slowly and carefully, the little blue gladier wiggled herself out from underneath the rotten log. Bits of it came off and stuck in her fur, but she was just glad to be out of the mud. She glanced around quickly, but Celia was still heading away from her. So she dashed off in the opposite direction, and dove into a bush. This was certainly a drier, comfier spot to hide!

Celia crept along, hoping to keep her movements silent. "Where is she?" she asked herself...
From behind her she heard the rustle of leaves and branches. She turned quickly, but apparently not quick enough. "Nothing....but the sound did come from that way..." she reasoned. She crept back along the way she came, trying to stay low to the ground and quiet. She hopped back over the log and looked around the area again, hoping to catch a glimpse of her friend.
She saw some bushes a few yards away, and crept towards them. "I'll catch you now!" she thought. Happy that she might finally have found her, she lost all thought of keeping quiet and let out a peal of excited laughter. She jumped into the first bush she came upon, finding only branches and leaves.
Celia was getting frustrated that she couldn't find her, but she wouldn't give up! She smiled widely and sniffed the air, hoping that maybe she could catch a wiff of her friend. She did! Following the smell, she pounced another bush!
