Name: Nhial
Age: 19
Sex: Male
Orientation: Who needs anything other than the ladies?
Craft: Awesomecraft bedcraft none
Rank: Master none
Physical Description: No matter what’s wrong with his personality, there’s no denying that Nhial certainly didn’t get shorted in the looks department. Just barely under six feet in height, he has a broad chest and muscular build, and while he’s more trim than buff at the moment, there’s no doubt he’ll be rather attractively muscular once he’s done growing into himself. And he probably has another few inches’ worth of growth in height before he’s done. His hair is black and slightly wavy, just long enough for Nhial to wear it in a short ponytail. His jawline is strong, his features that special brand of sharp that earns the term ‘chiseled’. Of these, his nose is crooked, testimony to more than a few fistfights in his past. His eyes are grey, his complexion a healthy tan that comes of spending lots of time in the sun. He dresses more serviceably than well, but he wears his clothes with an easy confidence that could make rags look good. Oh, yes, Nhial is definitely a looker and well aware of it.

Personality: Engorged ego? Doesn’t even begin to cover him! There is nobody quite like Nhial, particularly in his own mind. He is the best, don’t you worry about anything else. All you need to know is that Nhial is here, and he will take care of you, my fine lady. And let there be no doubts about who he considers ‘my fine lady;’ Nhial loves anything even vaguely female in persuasion. Women need him, crave his attention, and he’s only too eager to let them have it. After all, “There’s plenty of me to go around, ladies. Never you worry.” He fancies himself good with the girls, and honestly, he’s not half bad. His good looks to give him an edge over many of the other men, and if he decides he wants a woman, he will woo her with the best of suitors. Unfortunately, he’s pretty self-absorbed and doesn’t think much about girls beyond how good they’ll look with him.

He is, in fact, extremely sexist and absolutely convinced that no woman can exist without a man (generally him) in her life. The concept of an ‘independent woman’ always comes in quotation marks to him, and he has a blindingly patronizing way of blundering through interaction with females. Lesbians do not exist in Nhial’s world. They’ve just given up trying to find the right man for them, but a healthy dose of Nhial will cure that right up! A woman on a fighting dragon is rather adorable to him, and he will treat even an adult female dragonrider as an amusing curiosity. He has a remarkably thick skull and seems completely immune to people’s attempts to change his mind about most subjects, and will blunder along without even noticing how much he’s offended people. Anger directed at him is clearly misplaced, probably the remnants of some childhood issue. Because who could ever be angry at Nhial?

Coming from a small hold where he was one of the most attractive, most available young men, he has never needed to worry about his status before. In fact, he will probably never need to worry about his status. It just won’t occur to him at all that it’s changed. In his mind, Nhial will always be the best. He is a delightful person, and anyone who dislikes him is clearly just jealous. And Nhial was raised never to be rude to someone inferior to him. He treats most other boys with a sort of good-natured pity. Nhial is an extremely cheerful, good-natured young man. Just about the only thing that can shake his geniality is an outright rejection from a woman. If someone flat-out refuses his approaches, he sidles off to sulk…occasionally for days. And he’s not very good at taking a hint, so the only way to get him to lay off is to reject him flat-out.

History: From a minor Hold not too far away from Southern Boll, Nhial has always been the talk of the town…and the c**k of the walk (in more ways than one, if you catch my unsubtle drift, hint, hint). There was not another boy quite so handsome or dashing or fearless as he, and he went out of his way to prove it to them. True, he got in a lot of fights, but they were the sort of fights that never really hurt more than pride and a nose or two. Nhial’s parents were farmers who were very proud of their strong, attractive son, and they did everything they could to find him the perfect marriage. In fact, he had an arranged bride, heiress to a pleasantly rich family (and a looker on top of the rest), by age fifteen.

Of course, when Nhial got caught, er, romancing one of the local girls, that marriage went down the tubes and Nhial’s family wasn’t altogether that pleased. In fact, they were most unpleased. Nhial, who had been pretty much set for an apprenticeship with the his future bride’s tannercrafting father, was suddenly out a profession and in a whole lot of trouble. His parents refused to send him to a crafthall, and his father took rather a lot of time and effort to teach Nhial all the pieces of farming that those who went to the crafthall to learn never got.

For the next four turns, he was forced to toil in his small home hold, stuck digging in the dirt and earning no prestige at all from it. When hunting parties went out after wherries, Nhial was always among them, and he maintained his reputation as a top-class lover with the ladies. Though he hated the idea that he would inherit nothing but a pathetic little farm, he couldn’t say he hated the prestige that came of being the most eligible young man in the entire hold. In fact, beyond having that tannercraft apprenticeship, he couldn’t have asked for more.

Pets: N/A
Other/Talents: Showing off like the jerkwad he is, and seeing the world in his own special way, without interruption from that silly thing called reality. He’s a pretty strong, well-put-together guy who knows how to fight, and he fancies himself an excellent hunter. He’s also quite capable of punching lights out and can spit farther than anyone he knows.

Will this character be a candidate? Yes, but I would like to roleplay his Search.
