This Village is over 200 years old, and has lasted through the War between the Red Cross, and the Black Cross. After the war, repairs were made, and a monument was built in honor of all those who died during the war. Though time and technology has advanced, this town has refused to change the style and look of the town. It still looks like exactly how it did 200 years ago, a small European style village.

Reks hummed quietly, her feet hanging over the roofs edge as she looked over the village. " the king and the queen yell their rage, thier voices a sorrowful sound.. oh he be near, and she be far.. but both to life they are bound.." her voice trailed on for a moment, before she caught herself. she hummed an old lullaby, one her mother taught her during the war.. so she wouldnt forget. forget what..? death, betrayel, hatred? it was all here.. family mabye? not likely, she had none but Quin. with a frown she sighed, rubbing her forhead tiredly. " oh mother.. what did you mean? why is it so hard to remember.."
after a moment she snapped her teeth together, standing smoothly. enough. she hated feeling weak, and she hated thinking of her parents.. she would remember, all she had to do was explore a bit.. nodding she lept from the building, dissapearing into the shadows below.

Leaping the wall neatly Riley landed on a fence post, crouching as she studied the people below. lovely.. so many to play with. sliding from her perch she approached the buisy streets, intent on finding a little mischeif.

a single scream split the night, too faint for any human to hear. Riley focused on holding the female down, a cold cloth over her forhead and ice on her bared skin. she was burning hot.. getting hotter still, and withering as if in great pain. but nothing could have caused this.. no harm came to her.. she growled to herself, studying the woman. she was a warrior alright.. leathal and quiet.. yet in the space of a heart beat Riley was forced to catch her and take her to safty, the womans body twisting sickeningly as agony took her. she had watched the female save a human from a vampire, had stopped to talk to her.. then this.
No more screams escaped her, though her jaw was clentched tightly.. even then pained sounds crept up her throat, her body twitching as she felt the mans pain. she didnt understand why.. but she had to help him, had to take as much pain as she could from him to lessen his suffering. her hand lifted, nails digging into the wall as she jerked to the side. still she found herself murmering to him, her voice pained but soothing. hold on..

an hour later Riley sat outside the stone building, wiping sweat from her forhead as she leaned against the wall. the woman was still now.. but it had been one hell of a fight to keep her in one place. she turned and moved back into the hut, folding the blanket closer to the woman to keep her warm. her skin had cooled, but she still held a trace of fever. ringing the cloth out she placed it on her forhead again, her tone troubled as she mused. " why do i manage to be there when others are hurt? is it my fate to be a baby sitter?"
" bad luck." Andy murmered, her voice quiet. she hurt.. but would live. the connection to the man had been lost, and she found herself wondering who he was.. and why he had been hurt so badly. pushing the thoughts away for later study she closed her eyes, saying in a softer tone. " Thank you."
" save your voice, ya? no telling when you will need it." with that she watched the woman fade off again, her eyes closeing and her breathing evening out. she didnt envy the woman.. it was hard to think anything could handle the pain from before.

Willaim came wondering into the quiet little village. He could feel the presence of several people, most of which human. He continued through town until he came to the center of town where he stopped and sat down next to the fountain.

cutting through the market place she passed easily by the people, her gaze distracted. there were three bruises forming, one on her left cheek, the other two on her left shoulder.. but she didnt seem to notice. passing the fountain where William sat she halted, studying an herb sellers cart. " anything for fever?" the gypsy woman nodded, handing her two bags in exchange for her money. " Thanks. how is your neice..? and the caravan, found a good resting place for the winter?"
the older woman smiled, nodding again. " oh yes. she finaly settled with that boy, you know the one.. and we found the place you hinted at, very safe." she lifted her gaze to William, her smile warm. " what about you boy, any herbs to ease your troubles?"

William smiled kindly at the older woman. "Sorry ma'am, but herbs can't fix the sort of troubles I have."

" too bad. she is good at picking helpful herbs." Riley said cheerfuly, rubbing at the dark smudge on her cheek. as the older woman waved her off she moved to the fountain, dipping her hand in the water and splashing it on her face. " much better.. so, William righ? find what you wanted at the RCS?"
in the hut the woman stood and lifted her cloak hood, placeing a small bag of coins on the folded blanket as thanks. lifting her large weapon she moved quietly from the building, needing distance from the people and village. with a calming breath she started off, heading for the woods.

"I found some interesting things, but nothing of great consequence." William stood. "Actually I was wondering if you could do a job for me."

" Oh?" she asked, both amused and curious. she considered it for a moment, studying her reflection in the water as she debaited. finaly she grinned, smoothing her ponytail as she looked back at him. " do tell."

"I need to get a message to Edward. You were the last to see him, so you know where he is." William pulled out a letter addressed to Edward. "The job is simple, just deliver this to him. I know it seems trivial, but I will pay you well."

with a chuckle she took it, tucking it under the band at her neck. " ill be waiting at Howlers, pay me there." with that she turned, shifting in mid-step. in her wolf form the letter was tucked securely under her collar, four paws hit the ground and she was gone. she had no reason to stay, after all.. she knew the exact moment the woman had left, and where Quin was.
