Everyone I talked to about unlocked my NPC Fellow told me "Az, you are gonna need some high lvl help, or you will never be able to beat the dragon." So on Saturday night, I asked my buddy Seraphe if he wasnted to head to Eldieme Necropolis (sp?) to help kick some bone-daddy booty with me. He went as 73SAM/WHM and I as 34RDM/17WHM. we beat the pulp out of the skele and then i was ready for my BCNM draggy. I figured, hey, as a RDM that is 6 lvls under the recommended lvl of 40cap, ill grab some items. 4 xpotions, 2 hi-ethers, a pamama au lait, a yag drink and a vampire juice. ill be damned if i didnt beat the dragon in 5 minutes and now i have all these items taking up space in my inventory lol! mrgreen i was quite thrilled since RDM isnt such a great fighter at lvl 34, without the Refresh spell to keep my MP up. But alas, i have my NPC buddy and im thrilled that i didnt need to bring people to that fight with me like everyone else i know did. Tell me about your fight...

well my fight with the dragon only took about 2min 45sec. well I was also a lvl 40 drg but still even if I was a lvl 33, I think it would still be easy to fight the dargon, but like you said it will take a few minutes to defeat the dragon with any job.

Warrior/Ninja, Great Axe, Food, Berserk, Warcry, Mighty Strikes, Icarus Wing, Sturmwind, NPC comes out, "medicated"status was removed (YAY), use another IW, Sturmwind again X3
i was the first person on bismarck with their NPC X3 (atleast...i think so, the hut had no one when i did it, then when i came back to help my friend [After they started the 3man] there was a line 3252134534534 miles long

i fought it with my 40 dragoon a 40 pld and a 40 whm it was cake i dont think i even got hurt and with the drg trait dragonkiller it said that it was like scared of me or something so it couldnt attak

I beated it with whm blm(me) and mnk .. and we only did this cause de "#!#!""# line was too long and everyone wanted to speed it the process, i went after like 2 days the NPC quest was realeased so we really had to do this way...other wise we woudl have waited lots and lots eek

Soloing that dragon is easy since its a lvl 35 dragon.
so basically the cap is set at 40 so you dont over do it
my MNK took it to 1/2 hp before the NPC comes out which is when its suppose to and my NPC couldnt even do dmg to it xd

it didnt took long at all.... i had a pt memeber just astral flow and we kill it in mere seconds lol

i fought the dragon as a monk, when i got i poped 2hr, which was total overkill, but sadly... i was 5sec from the record.

I teamed up with someone else waiting in libe for the dragonfight, heh... didn't even need to really. At 100TP let rip a Barrage for 320 dmg, followed up by EES for 485 dmg and a Piercing Arrow for 150 dmg, that almost finished it in 1 go xd

went as naked 40 BLM solo, stonega II, NPC came out, stonega II dead, took about 30-40 seconds lol

soloed it with 23 MNK let my npc voke it off me till they were close to death and then i voked it off and finished it
