Darcy's thin hands wrapped around the child's throat and squeezed. It coughed once, twice, eyes watering, nails digging into her wrists before coughing for the last time. The whites of it's eyes mirrored the blood moon poised high in the empty sky. She grinned, releasing it with a quick flick of her wrists. A centauress had been careless enough to travel into her territory with her three young foals in tow. Happily enough Darcy had showed her around, playing the part of the excellent hostess and after poisining the old mare she'd set on capturing the children.

Now, where was Cassius? He should have been back by now with the other brats. She frowned and looked around for her stupid son. Every day she wished Silas had just taken him as well as the other one. "I want to be noble," Darcy sneered, pressing her open palm on the child's shoulder while her tail coiled around it's body. Her other hand wrapped around it's wrist. "I'm going to sssave the world from people like you. Minotaur ssshit." With a sharp twist, the thin skin gave way and with a tug, she had the arm completely severed.

It was about high time she find a better companion. An equal to match her every desire. Someone she could bond with over the simple things....On second thought, a person she could wrap around her finger would be wonderful. Rebellion would not be tolerated. They would have to know their place and know it well. Obedience would be rewarded.

The naga grinned and took a bite out of the bicep. Now there was a dinner topic.

It was, perhaps, a poor decision when Addison chose to wander much farther from home than he ever had before. In fact, he'd spent two nights and close to three days wandering eastward across the isle, trying his hardest to avoid being seen by any taur with four legs. He was tired of being called a monster, of getting those dark looks, of having people actually run from him without either of them uttering a word. Sick and tired. He'd done nothing to deserve that kind of treatment, and, to put it simply, he was angry. Angrier than he'd ever been in his life.
He was coming close to Darcy's home, though he had no idea it was there, and continued straight forward. His stomach was dragging him on. It was growling insistently, and there was some light scent he couldn't quite place, that compelled him to go this way, instead of turning around like he'd originially planned. But at the same time, the smell made him feel ill. He hadn't eaten in those two nights, and couldn't stop himself.

Curled up around her prey, Darcy was pleasantly sucking the last bit of flesh off the arm when she heard movement in her woods. She snarled and bit straight through a finger bone before throwing it aside. This is what she hated about feeding out in the open like this. Without someone to watch your back, stragglers thought they could over power you. Popping her neck, the naga hid the better part of the child with her tail and prepared to strike.

She was hissing; a low, vibrating sound meant to scare off anything smaller than herself, but she wanted the intruder to come closer. Whoever the b*****d thought he was, traipsing in on her land like that, he'd be dead before the crickets starting chirping.

He froze when he got close enough to hear the noise, and frowned, craning his neck to try and see. He moved forward a few more feet, until there was only some undergrowth between the two of them. His tongue flicked out, catching the scent of the female, and the dead child, and he tensed up. "Who's there?" He demanded, his voice much deeper than it used to be and he seemed to be completely without the hiss that most nagas had.

"Tressspassssser!" She bellowed, digging her talon like nails into the dirt. "You dare to passssss through my wood and asssk quessstionsss of me?" Darcy was fuming. Her bloodied hair twisted around her as she rose into the air, using her twisting body as a pedistool in which to assert her dominance on her unseen foe. "If you value your life in the leassst you will ssstop thisss game and ssshow yourssself!"

"Gladly," he said passively, sliding out from between the undergrowth, frowning slightly as he eyed her. Then his tongue flicked out again, and his stomach churned at what he smelt. "Excuse me for trespassing," there was something defiant about the way he said it, though it was sincere. "I wasn't aware that this was someone's territory."

"Insssolent fool." She hissed in rage, popping her claws as she lowered herself just enough to slither over to him. "Do not attempt to play me. I have marked thisss territory with enough markersss ssso any naga would know." Darcy was well aware that the only sure fire way to mark territory was by having a male mark the land, but all she had at her disposal was Cassius and she'd be damned it she let that twerp claim her property.
