Gender Female
Hair Shoulder length and a beautifully cheerful shade of cherry red. Extremely curly, Amy tries to tame it for her little girl by braiding it to one side-- except it never seems to stay in a braid long enough!
Eyes Red. Ruby, is what Amy likes to call it.
Build Small and somewhat on the thin side.
Appearance With pale skin and her scarlet coloring, Maya is a toddler who doesn't really look good in certain colors like any other redhead. Sweet and usually dressed in items from the children party dress store Amy owns, she looks very subdued and innocent: different perhaps, from the nature of a strigoi.
Personality Bright eyed and very bouncy. Maya is a child in all aspects in that she is innocent and curious about the world, eager to learn. With a somewhat limited attention span of someone who finds every aspect of life completely and utterly fascinating, Maya loves life: almost as if she has experienced something much too droll to give up life this time around. A little bit shy when it comes to strangers, she does have the unfortunate urge of wanting to bite people and objects. Gives the terrible twos a completely different meaning really: most things that end up in her mouth don't usually make it out in the same shape.

Strigoi: almost like a vampire? I've added information I found off wiki.
In Romanian mythology, strigoi (same form singular or plural) are the troubled souls of the dead rising from the grave. Some of the properties of the strigoi include: the ability to transform into an animal, invisibility, and the propensity to drain the vitality of victims via blood loss.
According to Romanian mythology a strigoi has red hair, blue eyes and two hearts. The strigoi can change into a variety of animals, such as barn owls, bats, rats, cats, wolves, dogs, snakes, toads, lizards, spiders/insects, etc.
There are several ways for a deceased person to become a strigoi. One remedy against strigoi is to bury a bottle of whiskey with the corpse. The vampire will drink it and not return home.
One way to dispatch the strigoi is to drive a stake, made from wild rosebush or aspen wood, through its heart(s) and into the earth to hold it to its grave. The vampire must be set on fire before it gets up. Another way is to remove the vampire’s heart(s) and burn it and the vampire, or do precisely that and decapitate the vampire as well. Then bury the remains at a crossroad.
It is said that if the strigoi goes undetected for seven years, it can travel to another country or place where another language is spoken and become human again. Once human, the strigoi can marry and have kids, but they will all become vampires when they die.....][05..15][....

Profession Dress Maker/Shop Keeper of a children's party dress store.
Family Two older brothers and a couple of nieces and nephews.
Appearance Small and curvaceous, Amy has the deeply tanned skin of a woman who enjoys spending her time in the sun. Her hair is kept about shoulder length and is a warm ginger brown shade that oddly enough matches Maya's tone enough to make it seem plausible that Maya may actually be her real daughter. With warm hazel eyes and a face that displays most of everything she feels, Amy will never be a good poker player.
Normally dressed in bright, cheerful clothing of a more simple nature, it's as if spending her time designing frivolous dresses for little girl has had an impact on her own taste in clothing: making it much more linear, and completely absent of any shade that she might dress young girls in. However, Amy doesn't like to wear the color black and tries to avoid it at all times.
Personality Sweet and incredibly patient. Amy went into this business because she does love children and is incredibly creative enough that she really enjoys what she does for a living. Mild mannered and somewhat submissive, being raised with two older brothers has meant that she is somewhat more pliant and eager to please than she might have been with two _younger_ brothers. Close to her family, she does have a tendency of seeking approval for anything she does, and while she does like to assert her independence, it's really restricted to a certain level.

Fell from the sky, or something like that. A very charming older boy who saved her Amy's DVDS from the wrath of a cute and very huggable looking shadow that disappeared at the last minute. They met again at the park and Dimitri helped her build a town out of snow, and a castle. She likes him.
I hope he's okay... he hit the shelf head on! Quite a cute little bugger.

The House
Amy lives in a plush two storied four bedroomed house. On the first floor, there is a kitchen, dining room and living room with a guest bathroom and also a small room Amy has converted into a den for her work. The second floor consists of three bedrooms: her own, one for Maya and an additional guest room.
The house is actually an additional one owned by the family: it is not due to her own success as a shopkeeper. However, Amy does consider it very much her own, and thus it is scattered with organized chaos that calls her own.
