Okay, I bet my friend Matt (Kronik) the following:

10k - Detroit goes (7-9) or below
20k - Houston makes playoffs.
30k - San Francisco makes playoffs,

Any bets I shouldn't have made?

Whats wrong with Houston?

I agree on the one about Houston, I'm not gonna say they wont. I wouldn't readily bet 20k on it though.

I'm just not sold enough that they will to bet on it. The other two are both possible to turn against you, but I think you'll be safe.
Im more worried about the San Fran one though, But they play in a weak division, So its very possible.

In the end the only one you shouldn't have made in my opinion is the one about Houston, Though they may swing in your way.

Houston, they are 3rd best in their division. Most likely 2 wildcard picks won't go to the division in the AFC.

The Detroit bet is a safe one. Pretty much your betting that they won't have a winning season. Now it was amazing to see the turn around that Miami had last year going from 1-15 to winning their division, but I doubt lightning will strike twice. I think it's a stretch to say Detroit will exceed a 4-12 record. It's as many professional analysts have been saying, the work of Matt Mullen cannot be fixed from one off season.

The Houston one is probable, I think a safer bet would be that Houston will finish with a winning record. I think they are ready to break through and finish with at least a 9-7 record, but as we saw last season with the Patriots, 11-5 wasn't good enough to make it in the playoffs in a tough AFC. And they year before Cleveland couldn't do it with a 10-6. So yeah, Safer bet would have been that they would of at least finished with a winning record.

San Francisco going to the playoffs is also probable, but unless they can win their division, I think they are still one full season off from being a full blown playoff contending team. They came very close to winning the division last year, two games off, in which their near victories the second time against Arizona, and if they could have pulled off a win against Miami which was winnable for them, they would have won the division last year and the NFC West/NFC Champion Cardinals never would of made it into the playoffs. But the NFC west is a weak division overall, and the NFC in general isn't as competitive. Vegas has San Fran down as a Dark horse for a potential playoff run. But unless they take their division, I think they will just miss a wild card spot.
