Darcy was pacing, impatient as ever. "Aaron, if you say patience is a virtue one more time...." she warned, frowning at her twin. She'd heard that phrase one too many times.
Aaron sat on a rock, holding a little bundle of cuteness and gold crowns gently. "It's true. Pacing around like that won't make them hurry up. You might as well take a seat and wait." he said, his tone soft and slightly mocking.
Darcy rolled her eyes, flopping down on one of the rocks in a huff, crossing her arms and pouting in a rather childlike fashion. She was muttering something about "stupid brothers" and "people take too long".

Trois felt weird. Not to mention very, very backwards.
By now, it had become common practice for him to contact people through their dreams, offer them a child that was sealed within a small stone. However, upon receiving a letter to go retrieve what may as well have been the same thing, he couldn't help but comply. The tip of his long golden tail flicking back and forth curiously as he stood at a crossroads, looking up either length of it with a perplexed sort-of expression.
After a good fifteen minutes of just sort-of standing and gaping, he finally chose one of the paths, a frown etched on his effeminate features. The caves were not exactly the most easily manageable areas in existence, and from the feel of the body heat coming from the two who had contacted him, they were still an impressive distance away.
It felt like days before he finally arrived at the entrance to the cave, all twelve and a half feet of himself rather drained from the work it was to get all the way up here. A moment before entering the cave, he frowned softly, looking behind himself. Cat had promised that he would be here, too. Where was he now...? Had he taken a wrong turn somewhere.
Shaking his head caused a bright red shock of red hair to fall into his face, making him pout before he pushed it back, slithering into the cave, pupils shifting to properly see in the lighting, jaded gold eyes nearly glowing. A moment after seeing the two who were within the cave, a smile came to the ditz's face and he wiggled happily at the waist, waving with one long-fingered hand. "Bonsoir- ah... zis is where Iy em to pick up zhe little one, jes?" he said sheepishly, smiling as winningly as he could, currently wishing that he had ears that he could push his hair behind.

Darcy smiled; she liked this guy already. "Yes, this is the place." she said, offering the adult a smile. "My brother, Aaron, has the child right over there." A sweeping motion of her hand pointed out her brother. This guy was alright; perceptive and to the point, from what she could gather. These qualities would probably help things run smoothly. She was proud of herself for choosing this one.
Aaron stepped forward, carrying the little girl with him as he walked over to stand beside his sister. "Good evening, sir." he greeted, bowing his head one. He tilted his head to the side slightly; interesting person looked interesting!
"I hope we didn't inconvenience you. I know it is rather late, and this place is in the middle of nowhere." the boy said, offering an apologetic smile.

This was just a bit bizarre, going to a roomy cave in the middle of the night to pick up a child from... well, children. Of course, he wasn't really allowed to judge. He talked to people in their dreams, after all, which was probably just as strange if not moreso, especially given how they usually reacted to him and his ma- ...well, him and Deux.
Trois smiled in amusement at the surprising politeness of the two children, tail flicking a bit before pulling the rest of the way into the cave, wrapping around part of himself to retain any bodyheat that he could possibly could, given his body didn't really generate it. Upon hearing that, a lot of people would likely then reprimand him for wearing silk, which 'in no way contained body heat' when, in reality, it was better insulated than most thicker winter coats and the like.
The Eilian giggled a bit at the male's comment, smiling sincerely in response. "Oh, do not worry. Iy tend to bozher people at effen later hours when trying to find homes for my own shildren" he replied with a nod of his head, slithering up to the other and inspecting the little girl in his arms, petting her dark hair gently. So, for the first time since Coren, he was actually going to take care of a girl? He chuckled softly to himself, gently lifting the small child out of the boy's arms.
He brushed the little one's hair back and looked up once again. "So ees zhere anysing I should know about taking care of zhis little girl?"

"She may be....gifted, to say the least." Darcy said, smiling. "What ability she has, though, we don't know. Hopefully, it's not anything too destructive." She sounded like she was joking, but at the same time...
"She'll also have rather irregular growth patterns." Aaron said, smiling. "We're not sure what causes this yet, though. If we find out, we will let you know."
"Are there any questions you'd like to ask?" Darcy said, actually being polite, much to her brother's surprise. "I will answer any you have to the best of my ability."

Trois nodded obediently, marking down these things in an imaginary notebook in his head, just like Cat had taught him to. He chuckled a bit, amused as the little one latched onto one of his loose-flowing sleeves tightly, whimpering a bit, though that definitely brought a slight bit of worry to his face; she was sleeping as restlessly as Cat often did. He looked back up at the other two and nodded in understanding.
"From what eizzer of you 'ave told me, eet es similar to raising Eilian shildren, oui?" he offered, though he was pretty sure neither of them really knew what that was like. "Zhough Iy do not know whezzer you two 'ave 'ad any experience weeth that, Iy can assure you zhat eet ess similar. Iy can also give 'ope in zhe fact that Iy've 'ad the privalege to raise..." he paused a moment, counting in his head. "...eleven of my own and 'elp in raising three ozzers, so jou can trust me weeth this rhesponsibility.
"D'autres questions..." he mumbled softly to himself, looking at the little girl in his arms and up at the two standing before him. "Only a few, just to make sure zhat Iy em clear on things. First, 'ow often would you like me to bring 'er back to you for checking in and zhe like? Second, does she 'ave any spécial needs Iy should accomidate for? Last of all, does she 'ave a name already, or should I give 'er one of my own choosing?"

"I am not sure, but I will take your word for it." Darcy said, smiling. "And I am quite confident in your abilities. As for checking in....we'll come visit every now and then to make sure all is as it should be. She doesn't have any special needs that we are aware of yet, and no, she doesn't have a name, so you may choose one for her."
"She seems to have nightmares, or something of the sort." Aaron said, thinking about it. "I'm not sure. But, she doesn't seem to have much peaceful sleep." He looked a bit worried about the little one; he hoped it was nothing too serious.

Trois nodded worriedly at the little girl's whimperings, giving a soft sigh and gently rubbing what of her back he could reach given her awkward position. "I'll 'ave to think on zhat on zhe way 'ome..." he murmured as a note to himself, looking into his mind's eye and honestly being able to side-by-side compare this girl's tossing to his mate's. Which meant, or at least implied...
"Is et possible zhat she may 'ave zhe, uhm, dream sight?" he asked, looking away from her once again to question the children in front of him. "Iy only ask because she tosses in a way zhat matches my own mate's tossing to a T, as you say, and 'e 'as zhe dream sight as well."

"That is completely plausible." Darcy said, nodding. "That may very well be her ability. Her eyes softened a bit as she looked to the little one; poor child didn't seem too happy. She felt a twinge of sympathy for the little one. "Tell me....what is this dream sight you speak of?" she asked, curious and eager to expand her knowledge.

Trois nodded sadly, though there was a slight smile on his face. From what he knew, dream sight was an unfortunate ailment where little that one ever dreamt was of no importance. Along with that, many of them were nightmares, even, at times, about people that they didn't actually know and terrible things happening to them that you were unable to tell them, simply because you didn't know. Cat had already told him, though, that after warning someone of what was going to happen to them, thereby preventing it, he would have much better dreams, sometimes even completely random ones, though those were still rare.
He looked up at the question and blinked his jaded gold eyes in confusion, not really noticing what she'd said for a moment before a look of realization crossed his face. "Oh! It es... a certain talent zhat is much like zhat of a seer in zhat... eet makes et possible to see into zhe future. 'Owever, it es more of an uncontrollable thing in zhat it only 'appens while zhe user es asleep. According to my mate, zhe dreams tend to be terrible and often cause sleeplessness. 'E can usualleh make zhem better ef 'e warns someone and prevents the badness, 'owever," he explained, nodding and smiling placidly.
