I've been wanting to learn Flamenco for the longest. I went to Italy last summer, and they had some brilliant Flamenco players busking on the streets.

I play Symphonic Metal, Power Metal, Progressive Music (not just metal!), a tiny bit of classical where I can fit it in.

I've been wanting to learn Flamenco for the longest. I went to Italy last summer, and they had some brilliant Flamenco players busking on the streets.

I play Symphonic Metal, Power Metal, Progressive Music (not just metal!), a tiny bit of classical where I can fit it in.

I would suggest buying a nylon string acoustic and getting a book on Fernando Sor. Fernando Sor wrote in the style of spanish classical guitar which is a great introduction/preparation for Flamenco. That way you can build up your finger picking skills and learn the spanish style.

That sounds like a good idea. It would be alot of fun to learn to play and write in the Flamenco style.

Metal, but I've been getting more into progressive metal and progressive acoustic lately. Also trying to learn classical.

death metal with a blues twist. i taught myself how to play and the only thing i knew was twelve bar blues. so after playing around that for about 3 years you get the idea....
