((ignore the pose, she's getting recerted, for now she's a lone wolf)) Elayi was going crazy. Waking up this early to go play in the river. What was she? A pup? She never did these things! She was always on the defense, watching out for herself and hunting and what not. Now she was...playing. Ick. Well, if anyone saw her she had an excuse to say... "I was going fishing!" She pawed at the water curiously. The fish scttering away at her touch. It amused her. Maybe she could catch one... Pouncing, she tried to land on a fish in the shallows. Doing nothing but getting herself soaked in the process. The fish swam away happily, glad to be free for another moment, escaping death. Elayi snorted in annoyance. She pouced again, eager to catch something this time. A big, red, juicy fish! Again, it swam away, heart content.

Triton was humming slightly under his breath as he made his way along the stream bank, it was some little tune he couldn't quite remember the words too although he recalled his mother singing it to he and his siblings many times. Eyes squinting against the glare of sun on water the blue male failed to see the leaping form of the tri-colored female.
He heard her however and stopped his meandering to take a gander at what had made such a loud splash - why it was a female wolf and as he watched she leapt into the water again - chasing fish if he didn't miss his guess.
"Hard task that"
He mused to himself out loud before wandering closer.
"I say ma'am..you might be better to look for a rabbit or two"

Elayi nearly jumped four feet, turning around and landing in the water with a splash again. A big blue wolf, a male. "I...I wasn't exactly...you...who are you?!" She stuttered, feeling embarrassed. He was strange. Any other wolf would have attacked her! And he seemed so...calm. So sure of himself. She couldn't really place him anywhaere in her mind, no categories. He was...mysterious.

Triton watched with placid eyes as she nearly lept out of her skin and whirled about to face him - inwardly the bulky male cringed, he hadn't meant to scare her, and sat on his haunches tucking his tail around his front paws.
"Well my family dubbed me Triton Ma'am"
He replied politely - He'd been brought up to be polite after all although he couldn't resist a small quirk of the lips, a charming wolf grin.
'Didn't mean to frighten you so"

The grin made something inside Elayi almost swoon. She cursed herself for it. "Well, t-thats all right Triton..." She sat down also, still unsure of herself. "I'm Elayi," She perked her ears forward curiously. He didnt look like he was about to attack her, after all. Her tail gave a slight wag and she contented herself with watching a nearby fish, pawing at it playfully. She wasn't that hungry anymore...

Triton fancied himself somewhat of a ladies man - at least he'd always been popular back in his home pack so the females reaction made him grin all the wider.
"Elayi - pretty name for a pretty wolf"
He stated sweetly.
"What has you roaming about these parts?"

If wolves could bluh, Elayi would be. "I was l-looking for food and...playing with the fishes." She muttered the last part. A grown wolf wasn't supposed to be playing with fish. She was supposed to hunt. What was she? A silly pup? And infront of a grown male wolf at that... She had a feeling that he was enjoying playing with her emotions. She sighed, shaking her head. She was a lone wolf anyways, pack males didnt fall for lone wolves. Especially when Elayi was going to be joining another pack soon...

Triton tipped his head slightly to the side - a rather puppy like motion although the large male either didn't notice or didn't care about this fact, brow furrowed slightly as he looked at the water.
"I see, my brother was always a fine fisher wolf - couldn't ever get the hang of it myself though, slippery devils"
He remarked before glancing back at her, she seemed like a rather nervous sort - perhaps she simply wasn't used to having company.
"I was just wandering through myself, can't say as I had many plans asides from that, Do you live around here?"

Elayi looked up again. "I don't really 'live' anywhere. I move around a lot, just making small dens every once in a while. Right now it's over there," Elayi motioned with her paw to a small space between a heavy bush and a tree. The back was surrounded by bolders. Elayi felt safe there for some reason, protected. Made her feel secure...like when she was a pup and used to nuzzle into her mother's fur. A den by itself. A shiver erupted along Elayi's spine. The water was cold. Indeed Elayi wasn't used to company from such gentleman wolves like Triton. They were either lone males wanting to take her kill, or pack pushing her out of their land. It felt strange, to be joining a pack soon... Heph from Acropolis seemed to be very friendly, the most level-headed of the pack besides his son, Kiiryon. The erst of them? Crazy and a bit conceided... "It's not much, but it'll do for now," Elayi seemed to be getting more comfortable with this wolf by the second. It disturbed her a bit, she wasn't used to this. Not at all.

Triton glanced at the den she motioned too, eyes raking it for a few moments, it was well built for a temporary den - Triton himself generally just slept under a tree or some other random place. Turning his attention back to Elayi.
"Ah seems we have something in common then - I'am what you would call 'between' home's myself."
The burly male remarked before noticing her shiver.
"I say...maybe you ought to come on out of the water, it's still quite chilly this time of year"

Elayi, still shivering, nearly sprinted out of the water and onto the land. Shaking out her fur, she was careful not to splash Triton. "Ahh, I though you were a pack wolf, I guess I was wrong," She groaned out,. stretching and rolling onto her back. The sun warmed her soaking fur. A sligh rumble came back to her stomach. Reminding her that she hadn't yet eaten today...or these past three days. A rabbit and it's mate were sitting in a bush, directly to the right of her den. Elayi flipped over, getting ready to hunt. But before she started stalking the animals, she looked up at Triton. Did he want to join in?

Had she? well Triton thought to himself he hadn't been alone so very long and he supposed perhaps he still had a bit of pack bearing to his movements and manner.
"Ah well, I was - just recently left my birth pack you see, was time to seek out my own destiny I think"
He responded after a few moments watching as she rolled about to dry her coat, a rustle in the brush caught his attention and the burly male flicked his gaze in that direction - ah rabbits! not as good as deer - but decent fare for lonely wolves. Elayi seemed ot have the same opinion and with a slight nod Triton slunk off to the right thinking to flush them into the females jaws.

Elayi watched Triton as he stalked the rabbits from the right. He was smart, Elayi thought. She stalked a bit forward herself, just enough so that the rabbits wouldnt have time to turn when Triton scared them in her direction. She thought it out, she would crush one with her paws, and the other with her teeth at the same time. Both would instantly kill the rabbits. She hated torturing a prey into a slow death, it bugged her. Wolves who did that were cruel, and she was just trying to survive. They did it for fun. Elayi raked herself back to the current scene, watching Triton carefully. So he was a lone wolf too...

Triton crept in a wide circle around the rabbits, burly blue form hunkered down and moving silently through the underbrush. Pausing in mid-step as one of the Rabbits sat up on its haunches Triton flicked his gaze to Elayi - she seemed to be in position and the rabbits seemed to be noticing their growing danger.
Well now or never he thought to himself and launched himself towards the critter's, snapping jaws encouraging them to run towards the Hidden Elayi.

The smaller she-wolf quickly launched herself forward and pounced all of her weight onto the first rabbit's neck. It was dead in an instant. Next, Elayi lept off and chased the nexy rabbit for a few seconds. Dashing this way and that, she finally crashed onto the small thing and snapper her jaws around it's skull and neck. It was also dead. Blood pulsed into the young female's mouth, and it covered her paws. It seemed to have hit a major artery in the rabbit. Oops. She looked back at Triton, aware of how she must have looked. At least it was a meal. "Good job," She picked up the limp rabbit in her jaws and carried it back to the first, dropping it ontop of the other. "Do you want the male of the female?" It was a silly question, but he had helped a great deal, he got to choose.
