Does anyone here currently feel as I do?
I stand alone in three separate churches as the only gothic christian.
In my current area I've found no one who believes as I do,
Which is a bit disheartening.
Suppose what I'm saying is I pray I find a good friend who is as we are.
I tire of being without proper friends.
I remember what it was like when someone wanted to hang out, just to hang out with me.
Just to talk.
Now it seems no one cares like that anymore,
Least not for me.

I do have friends, but I'm the only Christian goth I know. To tell the truth, I'm the only goth I know period. I only know goths on the internet.

I know. I'm happy with my other friends, they're very accepting. But I wish I had someone who doesn't just accept,but understands too.

I understand the feeling quite well. on the other hand goth friends are just as stupid are "normal" friends. you'll also be hard perssed friends that are both christian and goth. good luck though.

Hard Pressed? Most Goth friends and associates I have had in my meager lifetime were Christians, mostly Roman Catholics and High Church Protestants. And I am not talking about some number like ten; I am talking about multiple dozens. Strigoi Vii Morti, Look around. You may find people in places you have yet to venture. Oddly I found some of my friends in the library, reading...

My biggest thing is maturity.
It's hard for me to be friends with anyone of any age if they're quite immature.
Immature, not someone being be cute or adorable, yuh.

Oddly I found some of my friends in the library, reading... I found most of mine skulking outside of metal shows, goth clubs and shops that no one's ever heard of. Are the said christian goths actualy practicing? I've only kno about 10 goths in my whole life who were christian and now most are either out of the subculture, or out of the church, myself included.

I'm the only Christian goth as far as I know. I live in a really small town, and there's really no one that's what I would consider goth around here. It seems like the view here is that goths can't be Christians too. I have a good friend, and she listens to me and really cares about me, which I think is the important thing, but she's not goth. I can kind of understand how you feel though. I've never seen another goth in person, only talked with them online, and I've always wondered what it would be like to meet someone that's just like me, you know? I've never thought about it until now, but I suppose the best thing any of us can do is ask God to place a person like that in our lives if that's what he has planned for us.
Do you have family that lives near you? Ever since I've moved closer to my family, I've found good friends in them. Family is like the friends that God gave to us at birth. biggrin Anyway, I can understand why you might feel discouraged. I kind of feel the same way at times. I encourage you to keep praying! Don't lose hope!
