Last Friday, the 18th, i went to my first HIM concert ever. It was the most amazing experience of my life. The band played wonderfully, and the atmosphere was absolutly amazing. Finch and Skindred kinda sucked, and Skindred even had us all chant "you suck" lol. Bam-Bam was there too, and I got to see him, but then he had to hide cause he was being ambushed. I have all the songs they played, though they are not in order:

(their might have been a few more, but i don't think their were...)
Every single song was brilliant and i was standing up and singing along and screaming the whole time. It was the most memorable experience of my life. I got pics, and even two recordings, cause im a bad, bad girl..lol. I got some awsome merch too, a bracelete and hobo glove things, that I now wear everyday! I wanted to get a program, but they were all sold out by the time I got to the booth. I now love HIM even more. Im so happy i got to go!! hopefully everyone who went loved their time too. During one song, Ville told everyone to snap their fingers cause it was "sexy" lol, silly old Ville. And he drank about 4 bottles o beer and smoked about 5 cigarettes, which was so awsome. There was a cooler on stage and everything. During the end, the whole band walked off stage, but everyone started to chant "Valo" and they came back and did two more songs. At the very end, Mige and Linde smashed their guitars, and Gas was the last one on stage, playing away on his drums. I just want that day to happen all over again, again and again. Unfourtunetly, I was not able to go backstage, due to the fact that the girl whom I was supposed to go with decided not to go to the concert. But I still had an awsome time! On the train ride to the city, i was singing a bunch of HIM songs with my cousin, and everyone was like, WTF?!? but i din't care, i was just so excited! I was especially glad that they went all the way back to Razorblade Romance, and Greatest Lovesongs Vol.666. I can't wait till they come back to the states! heart

I think the song you didn't know may have been "Poison Heart", a cover they did of a Ramone's song. They played it at the concert I went to and i didnt know what it was either. It's on the wings of a butterfly single, i think. or something like that. I liked skindred at the one in detroit, but finch really sucked.

Well Skindred sucks, no arguement about that. Finch was a good band, and I think it was really rude of some people to yell "We want HIM" while they were on. I enjoyed their music. ^___^
As for them being better then HIM live ... Well ... let's just think about it. Who's at the top of the bill? Who plays last? Who did everyone come to see? ... Yeah. I'll leave it at that.

Viselle Pfft, I've seen both HIM and Finch live, and Finch were far better. Well Finch is probably a better band when playing their own concert, and not just opening for another one. I'm sorry but I think the singer was drunk or otherwise ******** up because he RARELY faced the audience, he was tripping over himself, bumped into the guitarist, and so on and so forth. He faced the audience and said "this song is called (i forget) if you care" and it was just a terrible show. The set up crew was completely dissorganized and it took forever to get set up in the first place, then one of the guitarist accidently threw his guitar offstage, got another one and it didnt work, got the first one back after they cheched it, it didnt work right. he ran offstage, came back with another one. all the while the singer is running around in circles tripping over himself and screaming unintelligible words into the mic. it was absolutely horrible. They didn't give a s**t about us, the audience, just because we were there to see HIM, not Finch. I was dissapointed because before that night I LIKED finch and had been excited to see them live. But apparently if they aren't the MAIN act, they dont give a s**t about us, the fans. ******** them then.

And it was amusing that the singer was making fun of the HIM fans and no one really knew. He called us all "very well behaved" and acted like he was putting us to sleep at the end and everyone cheered. My friend and I laughed because no one really got that he was making fun of us being so calm. Skindred is a band that plays an EXTREMELY different type of music than HIM, so most people there wouldn't have enjoyed it. But it seemed most people did. Finch's performance just really blew. Though I felt it was really rude when someone yelled "Get your f*****t asses off the stage". That was really uncalled for. I took a walk during their performance. Bought my concert swag. All that rot.

Regardless of what other certain people might say ... yes, they sound wonderful. Take into account some of these people want Ville to sound exactly like he does on the CD at every performance, which is impossible. At my first HIM concert, Ville didn't sound bad, but they needed to turn his mic up more, which they didn't, so it was hard to hear him. But he sounded good. And my second concert, he sounded perfect! Like he was right next to me singing. *_* And the band, well they just sound great all the time. *prances* At my second concert, it was funny, at the beginning of the Sacrament, everyone went over to Burton's keyboard and waved upwards, because they were trying to tell the audio guys to turn his keyboards up too. About the Seifer thing, I understand. heh. *sweatdrops* I didn't think anyone would murder me for adding that in. *rolls eyes* *hugs* yey! Seifer. XD

I expected maybe Vile's voice would be a bit worn from the tour, but no. No no not at all. They seemed to get the sound pretty good too, so everything was clear and beautiful. Then again, I was in the State Theater. Much smaller than most of the places HIM plays. Which was spectacular. And a lot easier for everyone to see and hear.

i remember that night that i went to that concert!! it was awsome as hell! they played 2 soongs i didn't know at the time (i now know one was soul on fire) and i even remember the booing of finch (i joined it too twisted )and the stuff being thrown back and forth between finch and the audience..................they sucked so much..................
and there were also 2 girls that were being bitches and causing problems that i was getting ready to subdue them and get some crowd control on their asses because of the potential fight with my bro and the problems violence they were causing.
but in all that was a hell of a concert
