And our battlefield is....
Seashore Field
Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze (the stadium ceiling is open when this field is selected) while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times).
This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Raina shook her head in dissapointment at the stadium she managed to end up with. "Should've chose Ayirwen for this one... oh well it could be worse." Raina stepped into the trainer box that was marked on the field and reached for the pokeball on her belt that contained her beloved arcanine. "Alright Branimir, lets do this!" she called as she threw the pokeball.
As soon as he was released from the pokeball and standing on the field Branimir began wagging his tail happily. He hated being in his ball and, despite the fact that he was standing on a stadium that had water he was not at all deterred from the upcoming battle, in fact, he was excited.

Dashing into the stadium with a high enthusiasm, Meeka tumbled into the trainer podium with her partner following after. Catherine giggled to her trainer's sudden mistake and helped her up to her two standing feet. "Heh, thanks Catherine." she said, smiling sheepishly to her own mistake. Waving to her opponent, the breeder's face brightened. "Hellooo there!" she called as her hand shifted amongst the ocean air. "Let's have a good battle!"
Catherine drifted out to the field, waving to her opponents also. "Hello!" she giggled, her purple tipped tail following her hands motion. "I'm Catherine! Pleasure to meet your acquaintance! Let's have a good battle, yep, yep!" At that moment, Catherine fell to her knees. She clenched her head for a small moment before her eyes glowed light violet. She fell silent afterwards.
Meeka sighed. "Control yourself Catherine..." she murmured in thought. "And take your time..."

Sighing deeply, Meeka nodded her head. "Okay, let's begin this off! Catherine, Swift!" she called to the Mewtwo. "And give it everything you got!"
Slamming her hands into the ground, the purple markings set upon Catherine's body glowed widely as sprays of star shaped rays ripped its way through the thick blanket of sand. They shot up from different directions, dancing here or there with no definite way of direction.

Raina waved at the other trainer "Hello!" she called and a bark was emitted from Branimir in greeting to the other team. Raina watched and waited for the first attack from the mewtwo. As the stars came ripping out of the sand towards Branimir she whistled low, commanding him to dodge them to the best of his ability, which he did very well, only getting hit by a few of the sharp objects.
"Alright Branimir! Let's do this, use Flamethrower!" Raina called and instantly Branimir crouched down low, aiming at the mewtwo and opened his mouth. An intense stream of flame came rushing out, heading straight for the mewtwo who seemed to be deep in thought, and motionless.

Catherine took the attack head on, shielding her face with her forearms to prevent anything from hitting her middle body. Her arms got terribly singed from the attack, but she shrugged it off and waited for command.
"You're doing good Rin!" Meeka called, jostling up her partner as she made a decision for her next attack. "Thunder!"
Pressing the tips of her feet into the sand, Catherine dug them into to get a good grip onto the surface. Having her body pulse with electrical static, a large blast of Thunder escaped from the sky above and lashed down to the Earth below, dotting the sands with small crevices with each snap.

Raina watched at the attack hit the other pokemon dead on but without as much force as she had hoped, "That's alright Branimir, keep it up boy!" she called to encourage him.
She cringed away from the stage as the lightning bolts hit the stadium floor, and one hit Branimir directly on the back as he tried to dodge them, sometimes being as big as a house wasn't a good thing. A startled yelp came from the poor dog and his instinct was to turn and lick the wound but he shook it off and turned back to his opponent awaiting orders from Raina. "Oh no! Branimir! Use Fireblast!" she commanded and watched as her pokemon excuted a perfect fireblast, once again aiming straight at the other pokemon but this time at a closer range.

Catherine was not quick enough to dodge the attack and ended up in the direct pathway of the Fire Blast, becoming engulfed in the burning inferno. She became thrown back from the attack but managed to gain leverage and be back on her feet in no time.
"Thunder!" Meeka repeated to Catherine, her mind not making of much of a choice for another attack.
With her body pulsing again, a large bolt of electricity came lashing down from the sky above, cackling wildly.

Raina looked on the battle with a very cautious excitement. If Branimir could just manage to land a more powerful attack they would be back on level ground, maybe if he could burn the mewtwo that would throw things back in his favor too. It took only a few moments for Raina to calculate her next move and suddenly another thunderbolt came out of the sky and landed right next to Branimir, the smaller jolts striking his side and he dodged to the side, away from the jolting electricity.
Raina wavered for just a moment about their course of action before calling out to her beloved arcanine "Branimir, use flamethrower!" crossing her fingers and praying at the same time for the attack to make contact and last she watched as the firey canine unleashed yet another perfectly aimed stream of flames.

(Ok, so Rin is burned now... for 2 turns so she loses 25hp this time and 50 next time for 75hp total)

More spits of fire came her way, brushing passed her as Catherine attempted to teleport passed them. Her attempts seemed utterly futile as the fires seemed to scorch her pale skin.
Meeka giggled slightly. What fun this battle seemed to be! Smiling with a large gleam of happiness, the breeder piroeted around and pointed. "Aura Sphere!" she jeered.
Hesitating as a ball of energy began to build in her hands, Catherine took a step back and flicked her tail. When the ball finally grew large enough, she launched it at her foe with incredible force.

Raina watched as the burn did a little bit of damage to the mewtwo, alright, not too great but that'll do. As she looked on at the mewtwo's retaliation she laughed. Branimir was excellent at dodging single attacks. A quick jump to the left sent him out of the way of the ball of psychic energy, it just barely grazed him and he barked once in amusement.
"Alright Branimir, use Aerial Ace!" Raina smiled as she called out the attack, not many fire pokemon knew this attack and she was sure it would surprise the unsuspecting mewtwo.
Branimir nodded his head and took off towards the mewtwo, his attack unleashed once he was within close range, hoping for a critical hit with this one. Once he had unleashed his attack he dodged to the side and circled back not wanting to be too close to the psychic pokemon for long.

Catherine teleported out of the before the attack could make contact and reappeared above the sea, water rippling as she stayed hovered over the large body of water. Her burns sizzled on her violently. Pulling up a glob of water, Catherine doused herself with it. The cooling sensation of the water seemed to calm pain greatly.
"Psychic!" Meeka called to Catherine.
Pulling up bits and coral from the sea floor below, she chucked them aimlessly, the pieces of dead fragments breaking as they made contact with the sand below.
