User ImageFawkes was known as the rarely seen helper. He didn't mean to take refuge in the shadows, but sometimes it was better for him not to be seen when helping someone. It made him feel like he was doing better that way. So they wouldn't feel indebted to him.

Today, however, the brightly colored wolf stretched out after a much needed break and sighed, rolling his head from side to side as he pondered what to do. He wasn't hungry right now; he'd had a huge meal before his nap. The rest of his meal was stashed in what he claimed as his den; an old cave big enough for two, maybe three adult wolves, depending on sizes. This cave he claimed wasn't near any big bodies of water, just something of a creek lined with stones. As if it were human made. He didn't know it was an irrigation system, and neither did anyone else who drank from it.

More than once, Fawkes caught the humans staring at him in fear when he approached the creek, but none of them tried anything. He figured it was because he showed absolutely no ill meaning to the two legs. He'd show them they could coexist peacefully.

Today, though, he decided, he wanted to get closer to the humans. To go look at their village or camp, or whatever they called it. He wanted to see how they interacted with each other. So, he took to following the creek upwards to where he knew the place to be, humming happily to himself.

Humans were death. They were the vile reason her pack had been dissappated to such small numbers. Murdered for their 'pretty pelts'. She was hateful now, her heart bitter with the thought of the two leggers.
If it was up to her, they would not exist.

But her paws danced across the earth as she walked, lowering her nose to scent the earth.
She wasn't hungry, she had made sure that she had eaten after her meeting with Siasan.
She just didn't feel like exerting if she didn't have to.

Her tail carried low, like someone of low rank, but she had no pack. No one could place her in a rank.
She was a young female, prime of her life, and she would not be tamed by something that was so easily destroyed.

She could slink away and hide easily..Lets see an entire pack do that.

But her tail flicked side to side as she walked.
She could smell the smoke from the humans fire, but she was trying to head in the opposite direction.

The opposite direction held this flame colored wolf. He was to busy looking around for traps the humans lay to notice the female until his scent caught a whiff of something besides smoke. It was a tantalizing scent of another wolf. One that didn't smell like it was in fear or pain. Maybe this was his chance to actually hold a conversation with another.

It was then he looked up and spotted a female close to his coloration, only in stripes. She was very pretty, but she looked angry, ready to kill anything that got in her way of moving away from the humans' nest. So, he turned to follow her away from the humans. Once away enough, he barked out a half greeting, half question.

"Hello there!" he called out, keeping his distance. And angry female was not something you really wanted to encounter or scare. "Are you alright?"
