I am very happy for Lady GaGa to make billboard chart history with having a few singles on the top 40 all at the same time, however I really think that they are abusing her music. Mainly Just Dance and especially Poker Face. I loved Poker Face to death until every club I went to and every time I turned on the radio..... boom, there was Poker Face in my.... well... face! It has gotten to the point where I don't even want to hear the song anymore because they have played it so much that I am sick.
They always do this with popular songs though. And although it's good for her that she is getting lots of airtime and it is good publicity, a lot of people are at the point now where when the song comes on the radio or in the club, they sigh and roll their eyes. It just gets annoying to hear the same thing over and over again, even if you love it. It just gets killed.
It's just like the song Sexyback by Justin Timberlake. I love that song to death but every where I go, every time I turn on the radio or tv or watch a movie or do anything... it's there! So I had to stop listening to the radio because I couldn't stand the song anymore! And the same has happened now for Poker Face.
Keep going strong, Lady GaGa. But I hope they don't over play you until you become hated.

Yeah, radio stations tend to play hit songs repeatedly, until another hit comes and replaces it. Remember when TRL used to be on and they'd have to "Retire" videos or else the artists fan base would keep voting for them and no one else would get a chance to be on the show. Maybe radio should start doing that or just start playing the song less frequently, after a while.

Wow, I didn't know that because I never watched TRL but that is a pretty interesting idea. Although I am thinking that the artist's label/manager/agent/whatever has made a deal for a certain amount of airtime with radio stations, etc...
