It was dark, and the Monster had already started to roam the streets. She hadn't been able to eat the night before due to some...distractions, and by the time she subjected the world to her being, she was starving. Starving and dangerous. Against her better judgement she stalked through a housing district rather than her usual business district, smelling a higher concentration of blood and blood types. Her pupils were tiny and her eyes were wide, giving her the insane look to match her current state of mind.
Her wandering brough her across a section of apartment buildings, and it was there, between two of the buildings, that she found a group of teenagers. Oh good...food. With a twisted grin she stalked towards them, and before they knew it, one of their own was caught in her grasp, a sacrifice to save the others. The boy was made short work of, and she snapped his neck once he was drained, just in case he reanimated. Aaah, that tasted so good...but it wasn't enough. She was still hungry. Her gaze snapped up when she saw movement; a second teenager, no doubt returning with a newfound bravery to save his friend.
Pity his valor wouldn't be appreciated.
With two victims under her, her hunger faded away and she returned to looking as normal as was possible for her, despite still looking sickly. A curious gaze was cast to the area around her, and she headed out from between the buildings, wandering along the middle of the road.
She wasn't hungry anymore, and that meant it was time to wander aimlessly.

It wasn't too difficult to sneak out, though he was pretty sure Auntie Desdemona had spied him making a run for it as he swore he saw one of the curtains move on the windows as he turned tail and fled as far as his little clawed feet could carry him. It felt wonderful to be out and about in the night. Sure it was more dangerous but he thrived on danger it seemed, he loved danger. The young bat-boy had made good his escape and now he was strolling with his wings wrapped about his shoulders and his hands shoved into his pockets as he meandered with a devil may care attitude emanating from him in wave.
The night felt so much better now that he was outside. Nosferatu was feeling cooped up as of late, ever since he 'grew' to be quite honest. Finally he just had enough and escaped from within the confines of his home.
Nosferatu was walking, walking, and -- wait who was that? She looked positively fascinating. Uncaring or unaware of the danger of this particular stranger he meandered his way toward the Monster as she seemed to be walking in his direction but he was literally making it a point to make contact with her.

Sally continued moving forward, wandering aimlessly as she did every night. Of course, she became very aware of a miniature in her path. Sickly red eyes shifted left and right, looking for something, anything, that could get her away from the boy. But any way she could see ended up with her trespassing. Not like that was a giant worry for her, but she kind of didn't want to go running through back yards just to get away from a miniature...thing. There was nothing. Option number two...just keep walking.
When she got closer to the boy she blatantly stared at him, making sure he didn't do anything funny or sudden, and walked not only around him, but away from him. Once he was at her back she sped up, trying to get away from him as fast as possible.

She hadn't turned the other way or ran away from his current path of intention, which was all too encouraging to the small vampire bat that was currently making his way toward her and soon he came to a stop and took in a deep breath in order to talk and catch her attention only to have her quite blatantly stare at him, showing that she was very aware of his presence so she couldn't use that as an excuse, and then walk around him making a rather speedy walk away from him.
...Is that how she wanted to play? He spread his wings to either side of himself and gave them a good shake and then moved to trot after her, "Hey! Hey you! Lady!" he called after her determinedly, for whatever reason he was very determined to make contact with her and thus be a thorn in her side for the rest of the night and perhaps even the nights following this one if things went well.

Aww crap, the brat insisted on following her...what was worse, he wanted to talk to her! Crap! Crap crap crap! People, Adults were bad enough, but a child?! What if she was hungry like she was tonight? A child would be no match for her, and...and she could never live with herself for killing such a young child. No way! At first she tried to walk faster, but eventually, she found herself in a dark area. No streetlights, but buildings. Lots of tall, shady buildings. Sally stopped in her tracks.
Well, s**t.
She couldn't let the kid keep near her because he's so young and she's a monster, but she couldn't very well let him wander around this area by himself. Since he's so young. And in that regard, she was not a monster. With a sigh of resentment she turned around, submitting to her fate. Red eyes surrounded by sickly yellowish sclera turned and focused on the young bat. Staring down at him like she was submitting to some horrible fate.
"First off: Don't touch me directly. Okay? Ever." She warned him seriously; her tone of voice and features didn't leave room for any sort of joke. She was dead serious. "Secondly. What do you want? Are you lost?" The quicker she could get away from him, the better. For both of them.

He followed along behind her and stopped when she did and watched her with the look of curiosity upon his boyish face. Crimson eyes stared at her intently as she seemed to set down a singular ground rule for their interaction. Sure he could handle that quite well, not that he cared one way or the other, he wasn't exactly after her to hold her hand or hug her, he had a Auntie Desdemona and a Mama for that if he was really desperate for attention and love and those moments were rare and few in between.
"I want to talk to you," Nosferatu said openly with a blink of his crimson eyes as he stared at her. She looked interesting like one of those evil female creatures you'd sing about in a dark metal song which made her automatically awesome in his books.
Dark womaaaaaaan, wandering in the streets~. Dark womaaaaaaan, with hungry eyes thirsting for bloooooooood~.
How little did he knew how true those words were.

Sally stared down at the honestly curious face. He just wanted...to talk? What a strange boy! Very, very strange boy. For a moment she was at a loss of what to say...she'd never had anyone just wanting to talk to her! Most people either avoided her...or met an unfortunate end when she honestly tried to 'make friends' with them. Usually, making friends with her meant meeting your end in a shorter period of time. Anyone wanting to talk to her had since been dubbed insane.
Yet here was this boy...just wanting to talk.
"Talk about what?" She asked, mildly bewildered and completely hesitant. She didn't want to 'make friends' with a child...but as long as she could survive this night, he'd go home and she'd never have to see him again. Or worry about him again.

He had expected a bit more of a fight so when she turned around and asked him what he wanted to talk about he was thrown for a momentary loss for a brief second or two. Nosferatu tucked his wings back around himself and then shoved his hands into his jean pockets as his bare toes wiggled against the pavement. He still rebelled against shoes and probably always would. It felt unnatural to wear shoes of any kind even when he was much younger.
“What’s your name?” Nos began the ‘chat’ with the best thing he knew to begin with. It was better than ‘well how the ******** are ya?’ which was his initial inclination just because he was a foulmouthed brat. There was a small pause as he stood there and then he offered his own name before she could think to ask it back at him straight away, “I’m Nosferatu,” the vampire bat announced proudly.

Sally stared at the boy, rarely blinking. What an unusual child, truly. When asked for her name she tilted her head for a moment. Name? Oh yes, she did have one of those, didn't she? The Monster hadn't seen Other in a while, and outside of that one woman, she rarely had a use for a name. In her head, she merely called herself 'Monster'. It seemed fitting, anyway. Yet there was this boy, asking what it was.
"...Sally." She said at length, much longer than it would have taken anyone else to reply with their name. Yes, that was her name, wasn't it? Man, it had been forever since she had to use it. Her head canted again when he told her his name, and as she thought about it she reached up, taking a lock of her reddish orange hair and playing with it. Nosferatu, huh? She chuckled; a thin, rasping noise. "How...fitting." She said out loud, looking him over again. Yes, Nosferatu was a fitting name for a Bat boy. No shoes? What if he stepped on glass? What a strange boy.
"Shouldn't you be getting home, Nosferatu? It's very late, and I'm sure your Mother is worried."

He blinked slightly at her name. It wasn’t what he had expected, it was a very benign name and not malignant like he was thinking it would be. It made her seem harmless and less dangerous and while not exactly boring it certainly made the meeting lose some of its luster at the moment, at least him. Nosferatu, however, was still very keen in talking to her in spite of all that, after all danger wasn’t the main reason why he desired to speak with her at all.
Nos’s ear twitched at her words and he gave a short childish laugh, “Yah, she would if she knew, I think only my Auntie Desdemona saw me wander off, but she didn’t stop me,” he said rather proudly, soon he would manage to get out with no one being the wiser for it and thus his short-term goal was made as soon as the thought came to mind. “Does your mom worry?” he asked with a rather surprising amounts of innocence that not even he knew he had.

With a blink she tilted her head, looking curiously down at the boy. He snuck out? But he was so young! Why would he sneak away? Then again, he was a weird child. Then again...the Aunt apparently didn't stop him. Maybe he was unwanted? Too many reasons, not enough caring. She had to chuckle at the pride he showed, though. "Your poor Mother." She said with a little snicker of a grin. She couldn't help it! When asked about her Mother, the woman looked surprised.
"My Mom?" Sally parroted, looking away for a moment. What an odd question; she certainly didn't look that young, did she? No way! "I don't have a Mother." The Monster informed the little boy, idly shifting her weight from foot to foot while slouching slightly. "I don't have anyone to worry about me." She clarified for him, looking around again, then back down towards the boy. There was a stange scent in the air. It was a fellow predator, and while it was still farther away, it was coming closer...just wandering for the mean time.
"I think you should go home." She said seriously, trying again to get the boy to leave. If that didn't work, she just turned and walked away; either the boy followed her, or he stayed behind. If he followed her, fine...if he didn't, well, she wasn't responsible for him. At least she tried.

He shrugged he doubted mother would be too worried about him more like worried about whoever had the pleasure of interacting with him. Like this woman here.
“Huh, must be kinda nice not to have somebody hoverin’ over ya,” Nos drawled lightly as he reached up to scratch at the bridge of his nose. If it wasn’t mom it was Magdalena and if it wasn’t either of those two it was somebody else always telling him what to do, what not to do, and everything else in between. It was okay some days but it did get a little tiresome and annoying besides.
When she suddenly announced that he should go home and began to walk away from him he frowned deeply a moment. That wasn’t what he was expecting at all he had hoped for at least a bit more interaction before he left her to the mercy of the night and thus he scuttled after her on clawed feet with a determined stride, though her stride was considerably longer than his own. Nos wasn’t sure why she was suddenly on the move but he wasn’t intent on letting her get away.

At first, Sally said nothing in regards to his comment, since the predator was getting closer. When the boy started wandering after her, she thought about it a bit. Of course he followed her, he went out of his way to harass her, and her abrupt attempt to leave would definitely be futile with this one. Oh well...at least she was leading him away from something dangerous. Though she still mentally argued that she wasn't the safest person to be following, either.
"Don't wish to be all alone so soon, Nosferatu." Sally warned, looking over her shoulder at the boy who scuttled after her. She surveyed him as he wandered after her, then lifted her gaze to look around wearily. "It's lonely. Really lonely." The woman said absently, ending up in a nearby park. It was then she stopped moving, feeling like she was a safe enough distance from whatever predator was in the area.
"So I guess I'm stuck with you until you decide to leave me alone, am I right?" She said with a sigh, submitting to her fate; he followed her out here, after all.

Nosferatu followed along faithfully and he listened to her words when she spoke and his face skewed thoughtfully for a moment or two before he shook his head sending unruly tresses of hair to-and-thro as he did so and then spoke to clarify himself, “Nonono, I mean it’s great that they wanna be around me but sometimes they nag. Don’t do this, don’t do that, Nos it’s dangerous to climb that,” he murmured in a falsetto voice toward the end of his explanation.
When she slowed down, he slowed down as well he moved to one of the park benches and climbed on it to stand upon the seat, “Yep!” he said cheerfully, “I won’t stick around long, gotta get home before day time and all that.”

Sally couldn't help the rasping chuckle that escaped her when he imitated a warning one of his caretakers gave him. Despite being an annoyance, he could be rather amusing! "They nag because they love you, and want to keep you around longer." She said, playing on the grown-up's list of common things to say. It was cliche, but Cliche's were tried, tested and true! "Nag them back, maybe?" It was probably obvious that Sally had never been a parent, since she was suggesting he mouth back at them.
Well, she was at least talking to him...might as well amuse him since he'd be leaving eventually anyway. Besides, she figured, it was better putting up with an annoyance than it would be to spend it alone. Even if the annoyance was an easily preyed upon child. "Me too..." Because sunlight hurt. A lot.
She looked around again, lightly sniffing the air...and then looking back at the boy who stood on the bench. "What now?"
