 Doctor Franken Stein Every human has a bit of insanity within them…
The gray haired doctor sat in his office chair towards his visitor, "Oh! Hello, I'm glad you came to visit, please do excuse the mess, I was just working on a new experiment." he paused long enough to let smoke excape from his mouth, 'Please feel free to make yourself at home!" the doctor smiled pointing around the small cluttered door. "Please do enjoy yourself."

I may have done some terrible things in my past... but I'm willing to atone.  Quietly Mr. Deathscythe slipped through the door and into his meisters room. He was surprised to see Stein was facing the door way glancing his was menacingly. Spirit's breath caught a moment, his heart skipping a beat once realizing his silent attempt to come in failed. His hand that was about to shut the door behind him stopped mid-way no longer wanting to be stuck in the same room with the mad doctor. Also having a closed door would create an obstical incase he needed a quick escape. There was no way he would allow himself to be dissected today. "Hello Stein..." All I want is to keep working, serve my purpose and protect those who I love and hold dear the most. -- Spirit Albarn

Doctor Franken Stein Every human has a bit of insanity within them…
The doctor smiled at his former weapon, "Hello Senpai, you've come to visit?" he asked as he stood up, he walked towards his bookshelf and sat a book down on one of the shelves. "Please do excuse the mess," Stein said as he looked at his room that curently had papers, books, and the occasonal scalpel or two strewn across the room, "I've been working on some...projects..." he said choosing his words wisely. He knew his former weapon would run out of the room screaming if he had said experiments. He turned to the red head, he smiled and asked, "I haven't had a visitor in quite awhile, is there something you need senpai?"

I may have done some terrible things in my past... but I'm willing to atone. Spirit gulped, he could feel his heart pick up it's pace in his chest, adrenaline pumping through his veins like mad. He scanned over the room, verifying that yes indeed it was a mess. However it didn't bother him, after all he was a single man also. His room didn't look too much better. "Projects?" He was able to squeak out, but the sound was near inaudiable. His face flushed when he heard how afraid his whimpering voice sounded. Deathscythe took a deep breath trying to calm before continuing. "I er... I just thought I would come and check up on you. I haven't heard from you in a while..." All I want is to keep working, serve my purpose and protect those who I love and hold dear the most. -- Spirit Albarn

The meister nodded, only bairly hearing Spirit's first comment. "I'm glad you came to visit." the doctor said as he picked up a few papers. "It does get lonely here..." he said his voice trailing off, he then smiled and crankend the bolt in his head twice to clear his mind. 'So... how have you been Senpai?"

I may have done some terrible things in my past... but I'm willing to atone. "I-I have been well..." Spirit replied. He fidgited a moment before finding the courage to step further into the room. He approached a desk where a scalpel sat gleaming in the light. Carefully the red-haired man picked it up and examined it a bit, memories, or rather stories of being dissected while sleeping filling his mind until the came so much to life that he thought he felt healed scars begin to tingle with pain. "I can see how this could become lonely.. locked up in this room alone all the time doesn't sound appealing at all... You should get out more... Do things that normal people do-" He stopped realizing that he just called Stein out of the ordinary. However it was true and the professor probably knew and accepted he was far for being 'normal' as well, he felt bad saying it like so. He hoped his dear friend didn't take it as a slap to the face. Doctor Franken Stein Every human has a bit of insanity within them…
The doctor sigh looking as his friend picked up one of his scalpels. "I know I'm not very normal myself, and I get out more often if I could, Shinigami-sama always has me trying to find information about someone or something..." the doctor let his voice trail away... looking at the clutered floor, and the papers under his feet. He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, slightly frustraited with his living habits. He looked at his senpai, "I am glad your doing all right though, but as I was saying... i'd get out more if I could, for said reason, and because of the house arrest thing..." again he let his voice fade away as he looked at the ground.

Gently the weapon placed the scalpel back on the desk, a soft low tap sounded as it was released from Spirit's fingers and shifted on the hard table surface. He was unsure of what to say and kept his gaze of the experimenting tool a long time. He bit at the inside of his lip trying to think, when at last he looked up at his companion. "But... At least you have something to do. Even though you're under house arrest at least Shinigami-Sama is keeping you busy instead of letting you lose it and... experiment on unexpecting human beings." His hands subconciously made there way into his pant pockets as he waited for a response, that is if he would get one. "That is true," the doctor said moving across the room to where a small table and chairs stood. He layed the papers in his hands down on the small table and placed his now burnt out cigarrete in an ashtray. He then looked at the older man, "I'm very thankfull for these tasks, as you said they keep the madness at bay." he explained looking at the scythe. "I haven't heard if you've been on any missions lately... though I heard Justin-kun has been on quite a few. Am I correct?" Stein asked as he adjusted his glasses.

I may have done some terrible things in my past... but I'm willing to atone. "Yes, Justin has been keeping pretty busy. Shinigami-sama has been working him pretty hard as well." He paused a moment before he continued. "And as for me... I am currently partnered up with Shinigami-sama himself... So I haven't been sent on any missions because well... If Shinigami-sama is stuck here so am I." He remained slient for a while as he thought. He felt rather useless having to remain in the Death Room all day and watch what happened on Shinigami-sama's mirror. It seemed that even Maka and Soul did more than he now a days. "I kind of miss having you as my technician... At least I felt useful and got things done... With your help of course." Stein let out a small chuckle, "I'm sorry you feel useless, your not the only one, I miss being able to go on missions...being able to travel across the world, fighting for shinigami-sama, it was great!" the younger man said his excitment hightening as he spoke he then stoped his gaze resting on the floor, his voice now barely above a whisper. "It was better than being stuck here..." he said.

Spirit walked up to his former meister and clapped a hand on his shoulder, now feeling less intimadated by the younger man. "One of these days you will get better... And then you can travel and we can work together again. Then it will be just like it used to be." A weak smile turned up on his face. The red haired man wasn't sure, but that was what he hoped. "But what happens if I don't get better, I've been fighting this madness all my life! I may never get better..." Stein said looking at his senpai. He would know more than anyone how hard he had been fighting all these years, and with the kishin, it wasn't any easier.

The idea of his twisted pal never having some control over his sanity again was a depressing thought. To never be able to do the old things he loved, to never be able to get out, to have to suffer the rest of his life. It pained Mr. Albarn to think what his friend might have to go through. "Just... Don't give up. You can pull through this... It may be strong, but don't forget you are too." The gray haired man looked at his senpai, "I know I won't stop fighting, I've come this far..." he smiled at the death scythe a determination in his green-gold eyes. "I'll be out of here soon, I'll be able to keep my sanity... I have to..." his voice trailed off again the sad look returning to him, "I have to..." he repeated, looking slightly lost.
