biggrin ate and Weather:

Plot: Boss Usagi is the second richest person on Earth. But, you will never hear about her on the Internet or read about her exotic travels and red carpet appearances for she'd rather not be assassinated. All her billions come from catering to the wealthy by offering them an escape from their duties, jobs or celebrity. Her 'Companions' serve and comfort their clients with their breathtaking beauty, infinite intelligence, and love of those in need. They pay Boss Usagi in priceless raw materials and in return she gives them a guilty pleasure.

Heed these

Obvious/required rules:
-Nothing above PG-13.
-No godmodding.
-If you're taking an extended absence, let me know.
-Don't be a douche bag.
-Don't disappear.
-You may have a max of two characters.
-No, there's no secret password or some s**t you have to put in your character profile. Please include Guilty Pleasures in the title of the PM.

Nitpicky stuff because I'm a douchefag:
-This is an advanced-level RP. THEREFORE you need to have advanced-level posts. This means AT LEAST three paragraphs per post. No, this DOESN'T mean that you use a huge font and get four lines of text. A paragraph is three to five sentences long, but since this is advanced-level, make it at least five sentences long. This does NOT mean, however, that you should make your posts a wall of text. Use your discretion.

-Don't have a stupid, clichè character. I don't want a million PMs of character profiles of kids whose parents were killed by ninjas and they're trying to avenge their death, therefore act all emo and s**t all the time. No. Be original. Or at least don't use a complete stereotype.

-Please, please, PLEASE read a few pages of the RP before you decide to join. Too many people want to join but get intimidated by the post sizes. Please look at the first nitpicky rule in this list. Just because some people have monster-sized posts doesn't mean I expect everyone to. If you wish to work up to that or try, then by all means, go for it. But please try to keep it at a three-paragraph minimum. So please read a few pages of the RP and decide for yourself whether or not this is the right place for you.

I might add to these rules. I'll letcha know if I do.

Complete these

PM all character sheets to me.

For Companions

Delete the writing in parenthesis.

Real Name: (First and last, middle is optional. Only Madam Usagi will know your OC's real name. You will be addressed casually by your alias.)
Alias: (Only a first name. Not your OC's real name.)
Age:
Nationality:
Hobbies/ Forms of Entertainment: (How will you entertain your Client? Pick one or two special traits that will hold a Client's interest. Watching you knit probably isn't one of them. Due to the number of similar talents, I request that from here on out, your Companion not be a dancer, singer, contortionist, or someone in contact with the spiritual world (tarot, fortune telling, seance, etc.)
History: (Please make this detailed. Include how you met Madam Usagi.)
Attire: (Kimonos, Grecian robes, saris, any type of formal clothing is acceptable. Pictures are acceptable. Don't make the pictures huge, however.)
Appearance: (Pictures are fine, as are written descriptions. Once again, if you use a picture, make sure it's not huge.)
Blood Type & Zodiac Sign:
Personality:
*Please include a link to a RP you have posted in recently.

Note on Companions: When creating a Companion, keep in mind that they need to be able to do something suitably entertaining. They don't have to be circus performers, but something people would like to watch. Also, try to keep in mind why they would want to work for Madam Usagi. These Companions are ridiculously talented, more so than just the average performer, and they could all very easily rise to stardom. Why do they choose not to? Why do they decide instead to work for the Madam and serve a single Client at a time?

~*~*~*~*

For Clients

Note: We have a large overbalance of Companions to Clients. Please, apply to be a Client. We don't want any of our Companions to go unloved. :<

Name:
Alias:
Age:
Material you paid with:
Occupation: (i.e. CEO? Millionaire? etc.)
Frequent visitor? First timer?:
Personality:
Picture/Description:
History:
*Please include a link to a RP you have posted in recently.

Note on Clients: When creating a Client, consider their reason for seeking a Companion. A Companion is a friend who entertains you personally, and there's a bond between Client and Companion. If they were just performers, you could have bought tickets to one of their shows or exhibitions. Why would your Client want a personal Companion, that they're technically buying? Are they too socially awkward or afraid of talking to people on their own, eager for companionship and willing to pay for it? Are they just looking for a new venue or doing research on something? Or do they just want a playmate, someone they can hang out with whenever they want, but don't have to worry about strings being attached since it's a Companion's job to do so? Think about it.

The Mansion

Through the front gates, up the long, winding path leads you to the front door. Ornate dark cherry wood with precious stones imbued within it shine in the light, and you knock up on the heavy doors. Once let inside, your eyes take in the sight of the grandiose mansion that is Guilty Pleasures.

•First Floor: Main Lobby.
There are curved steps leading onto the main floor of the lobby, which is all finished with dark marble floors. A large fountain sits in the middle of the spacious room, water continuously flowing from its spout. Behind the fountain on the far wall are two doors, the one of the left leading to the kitchen, and the one on the right leading to the dining room. The east and west walls yield hallways, one of which is glass. Where shall you go first?

•North Wall: Kitchen and Dining Room.
The kitchen was swarming with the finest chefs and patissiers, all working around the clock to provide the food for the residents of Guilty Pleasures. For a speedy delivery, a small hallway connected the dining room and kitchen, so the guests got their fine cuisine without a long wait. The dining room was furnished with cherry wood chairs (cherry wood was The Madam's favorite) and a matching table, big enough to seat about twenty, but it was never usually that full. Burgundy place mats marked every seat with silverware rolled up in linen napkins, holding all the essentials.

•East Wall: East Hallway Entrance

•West Wall: Glass Hallway, Entrance to The Globe
The hallway was thick, shatterproof glass, and built like a dome as opposed to a square hallway. It was made of glass by The Madam's request, so the guests could see out into the vast, verdurous gardens. Another set of cherry wood double doors led into the theater itself, which was as grand as the name suggested.

East Hallway
Located on the East Hall, this long hallway, like all the others in the mansion, had two doors on each side of the hall; and at the end there was an elevator and a staircase. The first door led into a study, which was often used for meetings or, of course, studying. The second room was the parlor, which had all the entertainment needs for the Companions to amuse themselves with, such as a pool table, a TV, gaming systems, and other such things. It also had a minibar, for those Companions who were of age. The third and fourth doors led into more studies, as the Madam often had use for all of them at once. Finally, the stair case led to the second floor.

Second Floor: Bedrooms 1-4
The lobby of this floor showed a large fountain in the middle, a gift from a Client some time ago that The Madam hadn't found a practical use for. The hallway was similar to that of the one in the main lobby, with two doors on each side of it. Name plates were above the doors, denoting the Companions who resided within them.

Third Floor: Fitness Level
This floor of the mansion was dedicated to personal fitness, and was equipped with a gym, pool and sauna, a dojo, and a studio. The gym had all the necessary equipment, including free weights and a running track around the perimeter. Showers were provided as well, along with a minifridge with replenishing drinks and snacks. The pool was a large size, though not the biggest on the market. A hot tub was attached on one end, and the sauna was sanctioned off in its own wooden structure. The dojo was set up traditionally, and while Companions provided their own practice weapons and uniforms, it was made to accommodate sparring, and there were all the appropriate dummies and whatnot to whack on. Finally, the dance studio was very simplistic, as it didn't need many frills. The floor was hard wood, and finished so it wasn't too tacky or slippery. One wall was lined with mirrors, and a stereo system with surround-sound was operable in the corner.

Fourth Floor: Bedrooms 5-8
After exiting the elevator or stairwell, a large Navajo rug covered the lobby floor, another gift from a Client. The man who gave it to her had known The Madam's tastes very well, as it was in one of her favorite colors: burgundy. The ornate pattern never ceased to mystify her, and she felt very honored to own it as it had been in the man's family for centuries. Congruent to the other hallways, this one was outfitted like the other bedroom hallway, with name plates of the other Companions who lived in the rooms.

Fifth Floor: Fine Arts
This floor was specifically for the fine arts, and the doors in this hallway led to a music room and a library, the other two doors off-limits to most people. The music room was filled with instruments and recording equipment, along with microphones and sound mixers. Often the Companion would provide their own instruments, but The Madam liked to have some on hand as well. The library was similarly outfitted like the other rooms, in the way that the room was filled with only the best of the best. An extensive collection of books lined the walls, and comfortable couches and arm chairs littered the space for the reader's pleasure.

Sixth Floor: Bedrooms 9-12
Another rug was in this hallway, only instead of in the lobby, it lined the hallway like a red carpet. This rug was much darker red, and had black flower patterns woven in the edges. The Madam had adored the gothic feel of it and had immediately bought it at an auction many years ago. The doors were, once again, adorned with name plates of the Companions who lived behind the doors.

Seventh Floor: The Madam's Floor
The last floor was, of course, The Madam's personal floor. It contained her bedroom, her personal chef, her office, and her assistant's room, Lily. All the doors required a password — even getting to the seventh floor required a password. All the Companions had it, and Client had to have an escort to get there.

(( Unfortunately I haven't. But I've heard from a friend that they butchered the book, and my step-brother didn't have a very high opinion of it. But I think he expected it to be more actiony or something. o_o Especially since he said that the first half of the Transformers movie was boring. ))

(( Haha, I wish. D: Over protective grandparents fear that Harry Potter will inspire me to become a witch.
So, it's difficult to get out of the house and say, "HAY, I'm leaving to watch Harry Potter. kthnxbai" Dx ))

. . .
(( Hahaha. If you watch the movie expecting it to be exactly like the book, then you're setting yourself up for disappointment. xD But that's basically the same story with every HP movie, so people should seriously stop being pissed that they left stuff out and didn't copypasta the book into film form. But the movie was pretty kick a** on its own merits.

Oh goodness. It makes me so confused when people say that about Harry Potter, that it'll make you a witch or a devil worshipper or something. Honestly, it's fiction. xD My friend Jade can't see them either. Well, at least with permission. She does anyway, but just doesn't tell her grandparents. xD

...I figured HP was a pretty safe/conversational topic, but now I've run out of small chat material. How pathetic is that. Um. Well, I could try and start talking about musicals, or someone else could say something. Or I could just stop trying to make friends with everyone and shut up till the RP starts. xD ))

(( Exactly. xD You think by the fifth movie, they'd have learned. One that was absolutely murdered [in my opinion] was Eragon. |: I don't even understand how they plan on continuing that series in theatres.

Haha. xD Reminds me of once when I went to the theatres with my friends and we wanted to see an R rated movie. Had to tell my grandparents we were going to see Up. Sucks when they ask how the movie was, though.

There is no future~.
There is no past~.
Thank god this moment's not the last~.

(( ...Eragon. DD: When you actually analyze the book, it's not that well written, but he was a kid then, so there's his excuse. But he movie. The movie set me off on a 15 minute tirade to my step-siblings about how it could have been. I'm so miffed about it that I could go on a rant right now. >>; But I'd rather not.

I heard Up was great. <<; I wanted to see it. But then I forgot about it. xD

G.I. Joe. =D Seems like it'd be good. And I'm fairly sure they'll chop up the Avatar movie. I mean, it's directed by M. Night Shyamalan. But since I've seen the trailer for it, I'm really not sure how it'll be. At the very least they're taking their time with it, unlike what Hollywood did with Eragon.

I can keep going on and on and on about random stuff... o_o ))
PostPosted: Fri Jul 31, 2009 5:59 pm

(( Well, I was a kid when I read them. So, I thought they were great. xD. My sister, brother, and I all went into a rant about how awful it was.

I never got the money to see it. >>; Pixar movies are among my favourites ever. I want to see them all. 8D Wall-E~~~~~. <3333.

I've always disliked G.I. Joe. Even Family Guy had a G.I. Joe reference in their show last night. -Facepalm.- And an Avatar movie? Never heard of i- Oh, dear fking god, wait. M. Night Shyamalan? We already know it's terrible. D< ))

(( Eragon: ugh agreed. My friend Nate and I were discussing how terrible it all was. I mean, I liked the movie all right, but wow, if they hadn't called it Eragon, I wouldn't have known it was based off the book. X_x

I didn't see Up, and I'm not sure I want to. People keep telling me it'll make you cry, and that means it'll make me mad, so if I watch it, I'll rent it and watch it in my room by myself. xDD

omg I'm so scared for the Avatar movie. I'm a loser Avatard, and I have hopes for it, but I'm still upset that the Water Tribe is full of white people. :< And that Fire Nation isn't red. wtf. But still excited for it. Hopefully Shamallama doesn't kill it too badly.

What I wanna see is the Sherlock Holmes movie. Nate and I were, once again, discussing it and pointing out all the homotastic UST in the trailer. ))
