The small brown and sugar-colored lioness yawned. It wasn't often she was tired, but she managed to escape her mother in the middle of the night, so she wandered off. It wasn't terribly dark with the moon filling the sharp darkness with a silver glow.
Stockinged paws trotted forward and the sweet girl's eyes glowed ominously. She shuddered. The night had a certain chill to it. Rose gave a small frown and flicked her sugar-colored ears to either side. She sat.
Her eyes wandered to the moon, and she pondered. What was her father like...?

Big, bold, eccentric orange glowing eye's moved slightly in the young cubbins head as he flopped over and made a small noise when landing upon a jagged rock in his sleeping area. He didn't want to get up and so wiggled a bit.. attempting to dislodge the rock in anyway possible but, getting up seemed the only way to free himself from the torture.
Groaning he glared at the rock that when he looked at it realized it was but, a small pebble wanting to burrow into his fur. He stared at it some more then stalked off leaving his Father and two other siblings to lay among the other billion stones that would surely only keep this youngster up in there. "Stupid pebbles.. always where I just don't want 'em." He carried on another few moments then went silent as he kept walking, head slumped down, tail low, eye's half-lidded and attention span fairly small.
Oh how he just wanted to sleep.

The small lioness gave a wide yawn. Her nose wrinkled cutely and she looked down to the ground. Saccha gave a small frown and looked around. She was hearing small noises. But... it could be bugs, right?
She was unsure - not having ever been out in the middle of the night. "Hello?" She called out, hesitating greatly. Her voice wavered and cracked a but, destroying the attempted bravery.

Pausing in his no where near a brisk walk he stretched,. He was as relaxed as could be, nothing could ruin the night anymore then that darned pebble. In fact it seemed it's night was picking up as a small voice shouts out. 'Hello' was all it said but, with the state of it's voice it didn't have to say much. It was a female, young.. maybe his age? And afraid which made him assume her alone.
He wasn't much for small entrances though, or letting her off the hook. She was afraid and probably shivering, he treasured the thought that brought him and he immediately dropped his body low to the ground his tummy-furs just touching the earth. Slinking towards her he made sure to hit a bunch of the louder debris on the ground that he could. He also was sure toswing his tail along the ground to make him sound a bit bigger but, not by much he didn't want to scare her back to her Mommy.
He'd ruin his own fun that way.

By now, Saccha was really shaking. She swiveled her head a bit to follow the scratches across the earthen terrain. She stood and started backing away from the noises slowly, backk to where her mum was.
However, he steps were slow, as not to alert the 'larger' creature of her. Running was always bad, mum said. Running meant chasing!

He was getting close now, he could see her again and noticed she was backing away, quivering from head to toe in fear. He couldn't help but, smile though deep down he almost felt bad. His Mother's voice immediately popped into his head and he couldn't shake it. 'Sure this is all fun for you but, what about her on the other end?' He sighed deeply and lost his love for the game, that was aggravating.
"Hey, hey.." He whispered and pounced free from his slouch and hiding place. He was angry at his mind and not quite thinking through the whole leaping out without a warning thing. If she was scared that easily then she'd be no worthy companion! He snorts at that thought even being in mind. He had his family, he didn't need any friends that weren't like him and his Dad.
Though this little thing quivering before him was a ball of the cutest fur he'd seen yet. That made him smirk as he thought it and his mood brightened a tad and the cockier side of him tore through his anger.
"Sorry for frightening you. A bad habit really." He smiled and winked, something he'd seen his Father do before.

Rose gave a squeak and stumbled over her feet as the cheetah popped out. She frowned and started to calm her breathing. She couldn't, however, force herself to stop shaking. "Gods, I thought you were big enough to eat me!" She sat again, and looked him over.
She pondered for a second at the strange habit. "How'd you get a habit like that?" She flinched at her own tone, realizing she was being rude. Her mother taught her better then that... Just because the cheetah frightened her, didn't mean she could be rude.

Kitisho just laughed right over her tone and smiled proud as the day he was taught to sneak just like his Father. "My Dad and I hunt together!" He was mighty proud to say that though it was the complete truth. He hunted his siblings as they all learned how to take care of themselves. Mauja's playing seemed to be what they needed.
"That's where I got that habit." That time round he shot back her attitude with his own but, he wore a big grin showing off his still baby sharp teeth that shone like the dickens. He kept them nice and pearly fore he enjoyed the feel of it and the look of em. It only took moments to pick free what could hurt them so he didn't mind to much.
"So, my dear, what's your name?" He sat, haunches feeling much better on the ground rather then hovering it in a slinking movement.

Saccha gave a small frown. She didn't like eating meats. It made her stomach recoile in disgust and horror. She prefered the small fruits and grasses she could find that tasted okay.
So, his father was as strange as him. Well, it made sense. She was kinda like her mother, but she didn't her father. But she knew she had two other siblings...
She beamed at him a bit, with his toothy grin. "I'm called Saccharose. Either Saccha or Rose for short though. What about you?

His grin dimmed down as a yawn hit his young face and he opened his jowl nice and wide to let out a large yawn. His nose scrunched up and he shook his head afterwords. His big grin returned though and he was ready to talk again.
"My name is Kitisho. I haven't much of a nickname yet." Which he was fine with. His sister had taken to teasing him with 'Kiti' it aggravated him and the anger swept through his eye's a moment though it was childish anger and had he said anything everyone would laugh and his light chocolate cheeks woudl go a deep cherry red to match his stripes.
He smiled a bit smaller now and went quiet.

The yawn was greatly contagious, and Kitisho's yawn was followed by one of Saccha's own. She gave her head a shake, clearing the yawn from her face. "Well, nickname's aren't everything, I suppose. My siblings don't have nicknames." In fact, she had the longest name in the family.
"But I guess, Kit or... Sho? Or... T'Sho? Or... Well, there are lot'sa diff'r'nt things you could come up with..." She gave a small nod.
She went quiet as well, only giving a yawn to interupt her silence. She really shouldn't have snuck out...

They were both getting exhausted it seemed. He judged her to be his age and thus that made it easier to judge how she'd be with him. "Would you want to go for a stroll. Our talking might wake someone?" He offered, the weariness attacking him moderately was getting worse and a walk would wake him up some. Though his thoughts were edging towards that pebble.
"Stupid pebble." He muttered out loud and turned to begin walking, if she followed she followed.

"Okay, sounds goodm" the tired cub pulled herself back up from her sitting position. She shook her fur out, which aided in chasing away Morpheous, however, she gave another yawn and trotted after the cheeta male.
"What pebble?" She asked curiously. She didn't see any pebble...

He looked over at the female giving her a full sweep with his eye's before looking ahead and speaking. "This stupid devil of a pebble that woke me. I would have been asleep til noon! Had it not been for it." He growled after the sentence then hushed up. he was more mad he was enjoying himself being up with this girl then sleeping. He was certainly understanding what his Father was talking about when he brought up girls.
"Why are you up and about?" He asked, eye's staying straight ahead.

Ah, well, that made sense. She gave a nod. She often woke to pebbles herself, though half the time she didn't feel them and woke up sore. She understood completely. "I was up to get away from my mum, and to think..." She gave a nod.
Thought of her father were never pleasent, and took and accusatory route and she became bitter with his abandonment.
