So apparently Marvel has decided to pursue anime as a new medium to spread their empire. Below is a link to description of their direction..: - Examiner.com ArticleThe Examiner Marvel Entertainment Inc., has partnered with renowned Japanese animation studio Madhouse (Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers) to create four all new anime versions of classic Marvel Super Heroes. ...and the animated trailers for those who think pictures speak louder than words:
- Wolverine Trailer
- Iron Man Trailer
To be honest, I dunno how I feel about this. The Wolverine series looks to be the furthest from the original story line, but the Iron Man series looks much more "animated" and may be interesting to see.
Thoughts?

I never really cared for any of the comic book TV shows anyway... except the old live action Batman show with the hilarious "POW"s and "BANG"s.

I'm a huge anime fan. But I hate it when other countries try to make their animation look like Japan's because they think it will attract more people. If its not made in Japan, then they shouldn't call it anime.

Oh it's Japanese and not just the animation, the characters, cities, and themes are re-envisioned Japanese as well. The Examiner Marvel Entertainment Inc., has partnered with renowned Japanese animation studio Madhouse (Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers) to create four all new anime versions of classic Marvel Super Heroes.
If you watch the Wolverine video, you'll see what I mean about it be "re-envisioned."

They did this with Highlander also. If their just taking American characters and adding a Japanese spin to it, I don't really have a problem with it.

Secular Swarm ... except the old live action Batman show with the hilarious "POW"s and "BANG"s. The 1960's one is the best!

wolverine one looks kinda crappy. what makes his blades better than a samurai's sword? Iron man looks like the one i'd watch. This studio kicks a** with its animation quality.

they did that with batman, too. I'm not sure how the production went, though. Neither of them look bad, although I don't understand the whole point of remaking them into anime...
