Crimson and scarlet hair with gold streaks, light brown skin, firey eyes (from red around pupil to orange to yellow), 5'7"
He likes to wear musketeer clothes and is often seen in a white shirt with very poofy sleeves, tight black pants tucked into red leather knee-high foldover boots, matching red leather gloves with gold embroidery, and a black tabbard with a brightly colored phoenix embroidered on the front, back, and sleeves (like this but red/gold/scarlet/crimson). Also, he wears his musketeer hat with gold embroidery and bright crimson and scarlet phoenix feathers, and always has his gold-handled, black-sheathed rapier at his side. (Now a keyblade.)
Personality:
Flamboyant, excitable, friendly, loyal. Zal is a very positive person in contrast with his friend, Matrix. He does his best to get Matrix to be happier, which often leads him to set Matrix up with dates without telling him. He thinks that going out with girls is essential to happiness, which explains his always making Matrix date random pretty girls at Darkwood, and his own self always being seen with a girl or two in his arms.

Powers:
Fire creation and manipulation, automatic healing and rebirth of self, healing of others through tears or feathers on wound.
Other:
Zal, as a phoenix, has lived for a very long time (obviously). But, he has not lived forever, as he is the rare child of a phoenix couple. He was born in Egypt, and, of course, worshipped, leading to his first name. But after many years of this, he wished just to blend in, to see what the people were like when they weren't worshipping. So, being a powerful magical creature, he was of course able to create a human form for himself, which at that time, to blend in, was dark-skinned, dark-haired, and plain-clothed. He ended up enjoying the company of humans very much, and continued to change his human appearance every time he saw a new group he wanted to mingle with. One of these was the musketeers group, which he admired and enjoyed the company of very much, and later (in the modern age) liked to dress up as for Halloween, since the other teens of our age don't commonly wear Renaissance-type clothes. But his first best friend was Matrix, and when Matrix was sent to Darkwood, Zal followed. Seeing the many different types of beings at Darkwood, Zal decided that it would be okay to wear musketeer clothes continually there, as he didn't have the need to blend in anymore. He decided to keep a bit of his original Egyptian-looking form with his light-brown skin, but that was about it.

Personality:
Alaric is a total flirt with pretty much any girl. He tends to be very confident of himself and his abilities, and will even brag about them, but is rarely over-confident. He likes giving girls presents just because, and is very chivalrous.
Weapon:
Staff, can shrink to stick
Powers:
He uses fire-based magic, and can do other magic, but majors in fire. His ultimate attack is the Dragon Flame, which he of course doesn't use very often because it drains all his energy. The picture shows him using this attack. His dagger is mostly for show, because he doesn't actually know how to fight with it, but he would be able to use it in an emergency.
Other:
His staff was given to him by his father, Kelson Mathurin, one of the most famous wizards and greatest protectors of royalty in all the realms. Alaric strives to be as great of a man as his father, and also as good of a person as his mother, who is of Amazonian descent. Also, he has a cat named Graymalkin. (KITTEH! But without the collar.)
