My section leader Trey sprayed Old Spice in our lanyard box because he said that our lanyards stink like hell. So, after our practice we smelled like Old Spice and sweat. And even the BD noticed the scent and told us that we smell like a gentlemen (our section is the clarinet section and most of us are girls. only 8 guys).

This is more of a you had to be there moment, but...oh well. xd So, we were having a sectional at his house, and he was clapping the beat along with the metronome. In the middle of what we were playing, he got off the beat while clapping, so he just stopped, sat down, and started playing his guitar. The look on his face was priceless. xd "I was mad because I got off-time...so I stopped."
I have a feeling I'm gonna like saxophone sectionals this year. =D

Our section leader he starts sayin epic fail in everything he does wrong. lolXD The saxophone's last year's section leader was 1st chair saxophone in the state of texas. 2 years in the row! go Chris:] His sister who is a smore is one of our DM's now and she plays clarinet. She told me this:"you, chris, for getting my memtronome to stop clicking by beating it with a meat tenderizer!" haha..XD i love Chris:]

I allow my section to go crazy when we're done with practice for the day. Or at least, for a while.
We created Pit Olympics last year. Last year's events included keep-away with the Spirit Stick, Drumstick toss (during which I lost the stick on the roof and the drumline captain will never know what happened to it since it was one of his >_> ), Hill Rolling (they were dizzy for half an hour, and couldn't feel their arms/legs from grass cuts), and the Epically Huge Amazing Fight.
I really should have stopped that before two of them ended up rolling down the hill again and smacking their heads into the metal fence. sweatdrop
We're gonna do it again! 8D

When i was section leader of our pit, we all learned and memorized all of our music the first two weeks of Band Camp.
And then spent the last week playing cards when the instructors weren't there. mrgreen

My friend, Ana, became an assistant section leader (it's a really weird system) this year. She is obsessed with smarties. If she gets them, she goes nuts. It's so funny to watch. So today I gave her some smarties and she screamed and freaked out out of joy. The expression on her face was priceless. Like ten seconds later she pretended like she didn't care. Finally, she grabbed the bag and took one and said, "I'm going to take on of these but it's not like I like them." and I was like "Go ahead." I offered her another and she ripped the bag out of my hands and said, "You're not trying to butter me up so you don't have to run laps, are you?" I simply said, "No, I have no reason to run laps and I won't anytime soon." She glared and walked away. xD

When the band is in a parade, my section leaders lets us do Ghetto marching. XD
If you don't know what that is, it's where you march, shake your butt more, lol it's super fun.

I was flute section leader for my 8th grade year. (: So I was basically a bad example. Making jokes, disctracting the little kids, so on. Whenever we get invovled with the middle school im still just as bad with the talking and such. rofl its the only time our BD yells at me. but i think the younger kids liked it when i was section leader because i was literally goofing off all the time but managed to help them, ahah.

During both the previous and current marching season, my sectionals for Pit have basically consisted of random outbursts of the Ghostbusters Theme from the guitar section captain, and the Spongebob & Meow Mix themes on the mallets. Our BD hasn't really cared that we do it either, seeing as we usually memorize our music before Band Camp.
Also, at our last sectional, I was teaching a few of the members the new way of marching (since it's required for the Pit to know how to even though we don't march), and instead of saying "Ready!" I said "Set!" and vice versa, messing everything thing up.

I'm an underclassman Section Leader, so to keep the Sophomores/Juniors from being angry at me I bring in cupcakes for my section if we're the first ready for band for two weeks straight. :D

my section leaders are weird....in both good and bad ways.... one of them keeps trying to get my bf killed (cuz my parents dont kno).... she goes 'awww...' anytime she sees us near each other...

We have section leaders, but I havnt got to know them well enough yet...
Well there are 3 girls who went to some drill camp and are now drill leaders, who help the teachers. Well there are things we call band laps at band camp and you have to go around the whole band. Well when they mess up we make THEM do a band lap. We tell people SPREAD OUT! And we race by their side to make them go as far as possible.
