sup guys. haven't posted a topic in a while...
Just started really listening to the White Stripes recently, and I must say, I LOVE them. They're so... strange. Their music and their style and their relationship is so different from anything else I've ever heard or seen, and yet it's really reminiscent of a lot of things. (AC/DC and old-school punk come to mind.)
I got their album Elephant a few months ago because I'd heard and loved the song Seven Nation Army, then bought Icky Thump shortly thereafter for the title track. And while on vacation I bought Get Behind Me Satan and their self-titled album.
My favorite songs of theirs right now... Rag and Bone, As Ugly As I Seem and Seven Nation Army, among others.
So. What would you say is your new favorite band or artist? (i.e. someone you just recently got into, not necessarily 'new'.)

 {Sunrise}//(Make me feel life) (Sunset)//{Make me feel love} I love the White Stripes. blaugh I love their songs "Fell in Love With A Girl" and "Black Math".
I got some old System of a Down CDs awhile back, so I'm getting into their old stuff. I've also started to like Paramore. 3nodding

White Stripes are pretty cool! I don't have any of their music but I do like what I've heard!
I started listening to a japanese group called Kalafina. Their music is
kind of... whimsical? LOL! It's like the music from .dot Hack.

I've been rolling along lately to songs like "Corona and Lime" by Shwayze and "Happy" by Colin Munroe.
But I've also been on a huge country binge. I'm even going to see Lady Antebellum tomorrow at the Paso fair. <3

I just recently got into Metric. They're pretty okay. I also found a bunch more Rammstein. Good stuff.

I really don't have a favorite. I like so many kinds of music that i can't really say just one. I did like hip-hop and some rap, but for the past few years rap has sucked IMO and hip-hop gets no radio airplay

I donno, I heard one of her songs on the TV the other day and I just went bat s**t crazy looking for more, but I think it's died down a little.

White Stripes are awesome. i suggest also The Raconteurs 3nodding
new stuff i'm into...hm, i'm not really sure. i typically find myself listening to whatever band my brother happens to come across. he's been on a real rock kick the past couple months, so we've been rediscovering bands like Supertramp, Foreigner, The Who, Pink Floyd...bunch of stuff alongside newer bands like The Respectables, Saving Abel, and whatnot.
otherwise, i've been listening to music from the new Haruhi season (aka Aya Hirano), and other random anime startings or endings.
