Setsuna stood at the gate, on the same side she stood for thousands of years. The darkness on either side clouded her vision, but that wasn't important. She knew this place like the back of her hand.
As much as it pains me, you know the reason you have to serve in this place, for eternity.
It isn't as though I don't know.
She heard the sound of foreign footsteps throughout the dark mists that surrounded herself and the gate. She knew for certain that these footsteps were mortal. A mortals foot released a certain vibration into the surface they walked upon. That and a certain temperature. As this mortal became more visible, Setsuna approached.
"Only those deemed worthy of admittance are allowed here." she spoke harshly as she clicked the tip of her staff against the stone cold floor. "Im afraid that you are NOT worthy."
The figure braced for action, their face still shrouded in a black veil. The figure insisted on a fight to the death.
Setsunas brow became firm. "Have it your way."
The two came at each other. The figure was no match for Setsuna. In an instant, Setsuna had run the imposter straight through the torso with the tip of her staff....
Setsuna awoke in a cold sweat, wiping pieces of dampened hair out of her eyes. "...."
Are you certain your services aren't needed elsewhere?
