I just had a quick read over the stat lines and special rules, they seem quite a cool army, one I might even consider playing with some of my friends, although I’ll have a more in-depth read of this later. Thanks for sharing.
Yea, they are quite a good army, low Ld though for the highly disciplined troops it claims them to be. I've got a question about them that I can't find an answer to. When they declare Martial Law, do they take control of the PDF? It states that they are outside all types of planetary law or agencies, but Martial law means they take control of the planet and its agencies, correct?

It depends. In most scenarios they fight the PDF as they often rebel as well. Vogen saw the AA fight the rebels alongside the Cadians. In Nightbringer the AA were the last loyal bastion amidst a planet in revolt.

The Arbites protect the Emporer's Law and will do whatever it takes to do so, so yeah at least sometimes.

nnnnecro!
in future, rather than bringing back old content without a good reason, dont post. it may not be in the guild rules, but its a general rule of thumb to only bring back old stuff if you have something usefull to add to it. otherwise new topics with interesting content get buried beneath old stuff and everyone misses out on said interesting content because of it.
always check the date of the last post, if its a couple of days old, add something, if its months old, only add if theres something useful to add.
::EDIT::
hur hur hur, i just arbitrated the arbites thread. xp

Well, they aren't the police, that's an understatement. There is local law enforcement and then there's the Adeptus Arbites.

What Mac said. Local police would enforce laws in the way that our police do. Arbites make sure that planetary officials don't d**k around. Other duties would be to oversee large operations to make sure that they're remaining legal, to oversee prisoner transport, or to quell riots that local police are not prepared for.

The AA are the Judge Dredds that keep everybody in line.
