Who: Noel x Simon
When: The afternoon
Where: By the beavers cabin

The brit mod had to stop on his way back to the cabin. For some reason his sunglasses had an irritating finger print on them that just pissed him off. It had to die, end of question.

Taking the sunglasses off he started to rub the glasses, but only made the finger print smudge all that more worse. Damn it! The smudge had to die. Taking the glasses Noel did a very un-Noel thing. He through them on the ground and stomped on them.

Man... that smudge had been irritating though. Good thing he had like twenty more pairs of the same glasses back in his bag... all of them the same pair thanks to someone going through his bag and replacing all his clothing and accessories with the same thing he wore on the first day. So the smashing of the sun glasses really didn't bother him right now. Nope.

Now that the brief rage was fading... he could head back to the cabin. Yeah man, the beaver cabin was sweet. So many hot girls! It lacked a certain Savior of small animals and defender of anti-christ deer though.

I promise you, I'll be back in ten minutes- twenty at the most...

Those words rang through Simon's head like a mantra throughout the night as he sat against the wall of the team cabin, gazing tiredly at the spot where Annabel had vanished into the trees. He was aware when the conditions of the promise came and went, ten minutes, twenty, thirty... but he remained there, waiting and worrying. Best case scenario, she'd gotten lost or distracted, worst case scenario-- well, he didn't want to think about the worst that could happen.

The logic in him said he should leave and get to bed, but some shred of hope or longing left him planted firmly on the ground. Waiting for those ten or so minutes turned into believing that when she came back, she'd look for him here. He couldn't abandon her when she said she needed him, even if she was taking too long.

By the time color began bleeding into the trees in front of him, and the morning was announced with a puzzling click of the megaphones, his exhaustion won over and forced him to close his eyes, at least for a few minutes. Besides, he was sure Annabel would wake him up if he was asleep when she came back...

Upon reaching the cabin, Noel would find a lightly snoozing Simon propped against the back wall - if he'd noticed he never returned to his bunk that night, he'd be able to put two and two together and realize this is where he'd spent it instead. He definitely looked rumpled and generally worse-for-wear enough for it, at any rate...

The world was weird with out his tinted red shades. Noel usually didn't wear shades all the time mind you. Though, with his outfits stolen and left with multiples of the one he wore the first day, shades completed the outfit. And thus, almost always, Noel wore his shades. Now after days of wearing shades none stop everything seemed a little off.

Ah well. The cabin was close and he would soon be snoozing in his overly British themed bunk. The thought made him glow a little. Warm bed, mmm , sounded nice.

Though , the mod found that his soft bed would have to wait for another interruption. One of his teammates propped up against the cabin back wall. From where Noel was standing he couldn't tell if said teammate was male or female. Come to think of it, he just naturally assumed the shape was one of his teammate. Maybe an Anti-Christ deer was trying to trick his mind.

Despite all the thoughts now spiraling his empty head the mod decided to go up close and see if the figure really was a trick. Couldn't be sure from where he was standing.

As he got closer, disappointment spread on his face. The figure wasn't a hot babe OR a demon deer trick. He was glad it wasn't the ladder but he delayed diving back into bed over some guy snoozing out side the cabin? Hmph. Ah well, the shadow did end up being one of his teammates. Simon? That was his name... or was this Billy. The brit couldn't really tell in this star light.

"Hey.." Noel put a hand on Simon or Billies shoulder and gently shook it, "Hey... bud you shouldn't be sleeping out here this late. There are dangerous animals all around." Namely, the Anti-Christ deer. Yeah... they'd eat Simon or Billy for breakfast with out orange juice. Scary thought right there. Every breakfast needs orange juice.

Something seemed a little off about Billy or Simon now that the brit mod was up close to him. Noel couldn't really put his paw on it.

That gentle shake was thankfully enough to wake him up - in fact, it was enough for him to jump a bit and whack his head against the wall with a startled yelp. Reaching a hand to rub the back of his head through his veritable bird's nest of hair, he took a few deep breaths to clear out that shocked feeling and slowly looked up in the direction of whoever roused him.

The figure greeting him looked familiar. After a moment of thinking he remembered it was the guy who'd screamed over his clothing being stolen and replaced... that glaringly British theme was pretty hard to miss. "Noel...?" he guessed, ears flattening in disappointment. "W-what time is it..?"

Heaven help him when he learned that he'd slept half the day away...

Noel looked puzzled for a moment at the question. Clearly with the sun over head and the sky so bright the larper could tell it was the afternoon. Noel frowned a little, but some how that frown looked like a photo shoot frown. How did the brit do it? What was his secret?

"Its... noon.. I think suns pretty bright.. What you doin' out 'ere?" His accent bleed through a little more like it often did when he was the most puzzled.

The mod knelt down beside Simon and just looked puzzled. Was Simon on something? If so, would he share?

That frown... was Noel trying to strike a pose for the cameras here? It ended up looking a little too showy, or at least that's what Simon's opinion would be if he cared right now. The important thing was that OH GOD IT WAS NOON ALREADY?! He shot to a more straight position, fretting with a frown that was a bit more genuine than the mod's.

"I-I-I was w-waiting for Annabel to s-s-show up," he explained, nervously looking around him as if she might still break through the trees any minute. "Did... do you know if she ever c-came back?"

Oh, he sure wished he were on to something here... for now, he felt so in the dark that the sun barely warmed him.

Noel frowned again, and some how it still looked showy with out the mod meaning too.

"No, I haven't seen her at all today mate. I just been out doing my rounds around camp, " Anneh was the camper who had dragged Chris down to the watery abyss in the first challenge. She'd be a hard one to miss if he had run into her. Her blue high lighted hair and her flashy red outfit. Very hard to miss.

Maybe he had seen her though... and forgot . Sometimes that happened when you were distracted by following your savior around.

"When was the last time you saw her?" ... Asking what Simon was on would have to wait. He lost a friend and right now that was more important.

If the brit was still wearing his shades, a ray of sunlight would probably have flashed itself across the lenses just to increase the effect of his expression. As it were, all it was doing was threatening to give Simon a headache with its glare.

"R-really...? Are you sure?"

His voice was descending to a whisper as he spoke, as if he were retreating... to where, it was unsure. When he replied to his question with "Last night... around midnight, I think..." it was in a tiny squeak. He was clearly afraid to admit it had been that long since he last saw her. A promise of ten minutes, turned into at least twelve hours...

As his chest tightened so did the rest of his muscles, working his body into a tight knot with his arms wrapped around his knees. "Sh-sh-she w-went into the w-w-w-woods, and n-never came back..."

Noel scratched his head, that long? The mod had been out late too with Lucifer protecting the souls of their fellow campers. Lord help it if a camper got stuck in the deer trap... But that wasn't going to happen now was it.

Noels face grew serious... that long and no sign of Anneh, something maybe wrong. Hell if even the brain dead mod could tell something was probably wrong something had to be off. Right?

"Yeah of course mate, we need to go find 'er and make sure she did 'ent get trapped some where near by. I mean people get lost all the time even in their own house mate." Yeah she must be lost right? The wilderness was huge after all. "I mean maybe she locked her self in a closety thing in the forest and can't get out?"

Obviously, Noel hadn't a clue about the wilderness. Could you blame some one who lived in the city their entire life? The closest he had gotten to the real thing was through media.

Simon honestly couldn't remember any moment in time where he'd gotten lost in his own home, but still managed to unwind just enough to turn his gaze back in direction to listen to what he was saying. Needless to say, Noel's words weren't helping much.

"Er... I r-r-really don't think that's what happened, Noel... The f-forest doesn't exactly h-h-have closets..." he said dejectedly, his nerves causing randomly placed spikes in his tone. And he didn't imagine that she'd have gotten lost, considering how many times she'd gone in there and come out unscathed before.

No... something bad must have happened to her, and the thought of it made him audibly whimper.

Noel could tell, thanks to the whimper, that Simon was really distressed by Anneh's sudden disappearance. The mod couldn't blame the boy for being worried. Hell... this was really bad.

"... We should go out and look. Its possible a deer may have gotten her or something..." Damn those anti chist deer. They were behind seventy percent of disappearances in the wilderness. It was a common fact... in Noels mind at least.

"Come on Simon, we can't just lol about here all day. I don't want to think about what would happen if a deer got a hold of her. " With that the mod set off in the direction of the woods, pausing to look over his shoulder and wave Simon over.

Sigh.

The rational parts of Simon's mind wondered if Noel knew that the more he talked, the less sense he was making. He obviously had the best intentions at heart, but was - there was no better word, he was just being dumb about this! What was this about deer, now? Didn't they usually AVOID people?!

At any rate, he could at least admit he was right... as hard as it was to leave his spot against the wall, he slowly rose to a standing position with a meekly-projected "Okay." They probably weren't going to find any deers, but hopefully they could find something.

Noel nodded and started off into the brush. He hated to see the long face on Simon. It just didn't suit him, or , anyone for that matter. No, it pained Noel to no end when some one was unhappy. And dancing wouldn't cure a long face like that.

So the mod set forth through the woods. Honestly he had no freaking idea what he was doing or where to start. Though, to on looking eyes, it may appear to someone that Noel knew exactly what he was doing and wasn't wandering around aimlessly.

That was until he smacked him self with a branch. And Noel was down for the count on his back looking up at the sky with a red mark on his wonderful face.

".... The deer must be close.." The mods eyes shifted from side to side. This had to be the work of a demonic deer.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 27, 2009 7:31 am

Noel's facade of confidence, intentional or not, was enough to fool Simon for the time being. He obediently followed behind the mod, keeping his eyes peeled for any sign of Annabel while gingerly picking his way around roots and rocks. Really, he should have done this hours ago...

THWACK

THUMP

Even though he wasn't moving very quickly, the LARPer still had to skid to a halt in order to avoid stepping on Noel or making a mistake. Yikes... that mark did not look pretty. He cringed a bit looking at it, and offered a hand to help his teammate back to his feet, mostly ignoring his further ramblings about the deer. If he were in a more conversational state of mind, he'd definitely be asking some questions about that.

"Here, maybe-- m-maybe this way..." he offered, leading him in a familiar direction. A good part of him doubted he'd find her by the river, but he still wanted to look. Just in case.

Noel took the hand offered to him and got on his feet. The slapping in the face by a tree branch was starting to catch up with him. Youch that really bloody hurt. Noel found him self caressing his face with his palm. Good thing there wasn't a mirror near by because the mod would freak out.

Sure, the mark would fade in a day or two but it was going to hurt and not look pretty during that time.

No time to be in pain though. Anneh needed them and if the deer had gotten ahold of her then Noel was sure she was in trouble. Possibly dead, but the mod wasn't going to say that to her concerned friend. No, that would make things ******** that branch hurt his face.

"Maybe.. You mind leading the way?" Noel caressed his face. Seriously, it was a good thing no mirrors were near by because the mod would be in tears.
