Suggested Weapon:
Like every monster it depends on preference, but I think I've narrowed it down to three weapons that I've seen used on this type of monster.

Dual Blades
Hammer
Gunlance

Suggested Armor:
Depends on weapon:

Dual Blades or Hammer:
Ceantaur Z (gemmed for RA+1 and sharp skill inc) - Gives Sharpness +1 and Sharp Sword. [Also has the -40 defense skill]

Blango X (gemmed for sharpness +1) - Gives Element Attack Up, Quake and Snow Res. [Also has the negative skills heat incease and worry which shouldn't really affect you]


Gunlance:
Any armor that can get you Guard +2 (Guard INC is useful too)[Will look for specific armor when I have time]

Weaknesses:
FIRE/thunder

Strengths:
ICE/water

Fighting Tips:
You can find some guides on youtube (which I will post the links to later), but my preference would be to use the Dual Blades so I will outline that here and I'll leave it to you if you want to use the other two weapons.

ATTACK:
Dual Blade strategy is pretty simple, stock up on mega juices and demon dance his right leg (would be on your left side facing him). You do this in order to trip him. Once tripped, go for either the head or the back depending on your location when he falls, but head gets first priority.

DEFEND:
Always move in a clock wise position to avoid his tail and the status effect that comes with it.

The main move that will bug you the most when fighting the Uka is his turning step, which you will just have to make do with or try to roll away from. Other moves include the swim charge and the scream. For the charge, just sheath whenever he digs and run a good enough distance. When he pops up, take a hard left and panic jump at a 45 degree angle toward his outside. Here is a crappy diagram:

As for the scream, just look for the signs and try to get out of the way. Sometimes he'll just be stupid and decide to spring one on you.

Oh, and one side note: When he does his jaw dig, there is a chance the the rocks will hit beside his leg and snowman you so try to get to the tail when he does this attack. Bring thawing agent to take care of any mishaps.

Discription:
Basically an Akantor with a shovel jaw that has new moves to screw you over and turn you literally into Jack Frost.

My group (It was three people) killed it with moderate ease. I was using Mythical Three-horn (Kirin G light Bowgun), One guy had a fire-damage greatsword (idk which one. Never liked greatswords), and one was using a Fire-damage Katana (Can't remember which one, but I'm leaning towards That "Silver" one with the rathalos parts)

He was flinch city. I was the only one who never got killed though (wasn't close enough to get hit unless he swam)
