Its 7:00 PM, and the fledglings are preparing for their night of school. The vampyres have been up for around an hour, eating and preparing for their classes. The night is clear, and half moon is shining bright. Another day at the House of Night is about to begin.

Alec finished the last of his preparations for his morning classes. He decided he would be on usher duty today and make sure all of the kids got to their classes on time. He walked out of his classroom and into the night air, not warm, but not cold either, it was perfect. He was strolling along when Artemis popped up, "Why hello old friend." he said petting Artemis with loving tenderness, "Are you going to accompany me tonight?" he asked with a chuckle.

I walked into my first class of the day/night. Drama, man I loved this class. I rock at this and we had the hottest teacher, Professor Alec Riddle, ahhh. Professor Riddle walked into the classroom, "Merry meet," he said. "Merry meet," we all replied, the girls a little too enthusiastically. Winding through Professor Riddle's legs was Artemis, his very loveable cat. Come on, scratch me. Come on cant you hear me! I'm talkin to you! I want some attention. You were asleep the last time I wanted some attention. And all you gave me when I came up to you was a little loveable scratch. I want some relief from this itch i have on my back. PLEASE!! I chuckled at what Artemis was saying. "Yes Stellaluna, would you like to add something about Shakespere's A Midsummer Night's Dream?" Prof. Riddle asked me. "I think you should scratch Artemis before she throws a hissing fit. She really wants some more attention," I told him.

((I like your post but in the future just know every person is only supposed to control their own character... Talking for the cat is fine, but please let me speak for Alec.))
Alec suppressed a laugh, "Thank you Stellaluna, but may we continue with our lesson?" he asked rhetorically. He turned to the rest of the class, "A Midsummer Nights Dream is a story of forbidden, and unrequited love. Each character is consumed with a love for someone who does not love them back, and Puk, the playful Faery, sits and watches the entire thing as it unravels..."

((Sorry redface didn't know about that! redface I'll do as the others. Thanks for telling me. First student gets a little hard and being new too. And I write stories in first person, so it makes it kind of hard))
Luna sat intently(sp?) listening to Riddle talk about Luna's favorite play, A Midsummer's Night. As Professor Riddle finished up, looked up at the window seeing a squirrel running across the lawn. Well you don't see that everyday, usually they're eaten. Well I guess he's lucky.

"... And that class concludes our lecture for today. As homework I would like you all to read Act Two, Scene One so that you will be ready in case we have a quiz... hint hint." Alec chuckled as the bell rang and his students began to exit.

Luna picked up what she would need to study for the quiz. Vamp Soc was next and walked slowly to the classroom, only because it was 5 doors down from Drama. As she walked to the class two cats streaked by her, chasing a squirrel. Get that squirrel!! yelled the sleek, gray cat. Luna chuckled as she walked into the classroom, just as the bell rang.

Lenn yawned lazily as he dragged himself into Vamp Soc class. He scratched Yuki's head as he entered the classroom and sat down in the last desk next to the windows at the far end of the room.
"yuki I want you to behave this time... last time we got into trouble because you tried to eat another kid's dog. That's a big No no, even if he was teasing you..." he said and scratched her one more time.
Fine... I'll be good, but I expect a hell of a lot of catnip later!
Lenn chuckled at Yuki and opened his favorite book and just as he began to read the bell rung and spotted Luna walking into the classroom.

Luna sat down in front of Lenn, she had heard what him and Yuki had said and giggled lightly to herself, And I thought Lucy was bad. The Vamp Soc Proffesor walked gracefully into the classroom. As the prof. started the class Lucy rubbed up against Luna's leg. Please have food PLEASE! Lucy begged. Luna knew that Lucy was going to have to give her cat her snack, and that was now. Luna slipped a piece of tuna to the floor so that she could hopefully listen to most of the class. Thankfully it worked.

Lenn tore his gaze from the book he was reading, to pay attention to what the Vamp Soc professor was saying. As soon as the professor had asked the students to read the 77th chapter of the book, Yuki's thoughts interrupted lenn's concentration. I... smell... TUNA!!!
Lenn sighed and whispered "Air, I need you." a swirl of wind elapsed around Lenn's index finger, he smiled happily as he was still proud of his affinity. He pointed his finger at Yuki. " Help me control yuki, for the rest of the evening. Enthrall her with relaxing and soothing smells, oh and give some of that to the rest of the stressing students, as well with the professors. thanks air, and thank you Nyx!" the swirl of wind turned into a gentle zephyr, traveling all across campus giving the students and professors a nice dose of relaxation, as did with yuki, she fell flat asleep onto the floor next to Lenn.
" okay... now what chapter was it?" he said to himself as he flipped through the pages frantically but quietly.

Alec caught an odd scent, it was pleasant, yet unnatural, "Wind show me the source." he said closing his eyes, he followed the wind into a Vamp Soc. classroom, The wind was gathered around one boy in particular, Lenn.
"Thank you wind" he said as he followed it back to his body. He got up and walked to the classroom next door.
He entered and said, "Excuse me Professor, but may I borrow Lenn for a moment?" he asked, although he didn't really have to.
The professor nodded, "Alright, Lenn come with me."

Startled by Professor Riddle's sudden entrance and request. It took Lenn a few minutes to actually register the request. "yes sir!" he said with a slightly higher pitched voice. Ahh crap... I'm in deep crap...he thought as he gathered all his things and whistled for Yuki, whom responded instantly.
Lenn walked up to Riddle, a whole lot more nervous than he usually is...
RELAX Lenn... he's not going to bite your head off... sheesh I haven't seen you this nervous before, well... sorta... remember when Jimmy from PE asked you out before you were marked? hehehe, you practically fainted on the spot back then.Yuki said telepathically to Lenn. Then Lenn snapped his neck around to face Yuki and glared at her. NOT HELPING he yelled in his mind. So he just took a deep calming breath and decided to let the chips fall where they may.

Alec smiled at Lenn, "You have the affinity for air!" he said happily, "Why didn't you tell me this sooner?" Artemis had hopped into Alec's arms and was looking at the boy approvingly,
"Never mind that for now, I want to make you my high priest in training! Are you interested?" Alec asked

Lenn sighed in relief and put a hand over his chest for a dramatic effect...
" phew! I thought I was in trouble for a moment..." he said not having fully taken what professor riddle had told him. Yuki interrupted again.
uhh... Lenn the high priest asked you something she said telepathically.
what'd he say? you know how I get when I'm worried... he telepathically said back to her. Yuki let out an audible sigh which sounded more like a snort. Lenn chuckled. He asked if you wanted to be a high priest in training and I bet you want to try at that don't you?
Lenn smiled again and as the seconds kept on ticking his smile got brighter and brighter.
"Yes professor! I'd like to be your high priest in training!" he said out loud and placed a fist over his heart and bowed to Professor Riddle gratefully.

"Very, good." Alec said with his most charming smile, "Meet me after your last class and we will talk on it some more, I don't want to keep you from your class any longer, but take this." he handed Lenn a cell phone, "My number is already programmed into it, in case you ever need me for anything." he smiled again. "Now you should return to class before someone thinks I've kidnapped you." he said with a laugh.
