Ariadne laid upon the meadow grass and watched the clouds float by. Today, she didn't feel like wandering. She felt, alone...and strange. For the first time in her life, the mare pondered deep things. Like what might be most important to her and where she wanted to be in the near future. Ari sighed heavily. She could hardly come up with anything. That depressed her. Maybe she wasn't destined for anything other than a boring life wandering back and forth from her herd in the teepee glen.

Oh he loathed the sun when it was out so hot in the day. The white and black stained stallion snorted as the sun reflected off the yellow upon his muzzle and legs. Strong wings laid delicately at his sides as his long white flowing tail laid over one wing to keep it out of the sand and muck. There wasn't much hope for his mane, not that it dragged the ground or anything. The tinkling of a pair of small silver bells sounded with every high step the stallion took, Cygnus as he had been named eyed the valley with scornful blue eyes. He hated the place and all its mess.
"Why can't the place ever be clean?" he pondered openly, and quite loudly not caring if anyone heard his whining. "It always has to be so... Filthy, I can't even let my tail down at the best of times."
Snorting to himself again, Cygnus ambled on, one high step after another as he passed through the sun. Already he could feel that he would need another bath as the stink of sweat, even if he was mostly white, reached his muzzle. Arg, it disgusted him to no end...

The mare had just closed her eyes when she heard the most peculiar noise. For a second, she supposed it was a bug---but no bugs she knew of ever made a 'tink, tink, tink' noise. She raised half her body up to have a look around and sure enough, spotted a very handsome and unhappy looking wind stallion. That could be what was making the noise...but as far as she knew...stallions didn't make that noise either. It was hilariously alluring and for the 1st time, Ari did something a little out of character. She stood up in full, made her way quickly to the male and began examining him. "Where on earth is that cute 'tink tink' sound coming from?" she asked as she searched. Then the little silver bell caught her eye. She didn't know what it was, but it seemed the most probably origin of the 'tink.'
