Po'ele's Profile: Appearance: Now an egg, Po'ele has a soft pink body with charcoal grey stripes and buttery yellow wings. Her forehead gem looks the same as her gem stage did: obsidian with creamy white flecks. Personality: Being an egg, Po'ele has no known personality yet. Only time will tell on this one.

About Manda: Appearance: Po'ele's caregiver is Manda, an average height, violet haired young woman (in her early-mid 20s) with green eyes who comes from North Durem and has a sketchy past she isn't open about. She has a penchant for wearing black leather and looks like she's spent quite a bit of time on the streets. She's also rather muscular and has a collection of scars and black inked tattoos on her torso and shoulders. Personality: She's rough around the edges and intimidating, but upon closer acquaintance, you'll find she has a kind heart and isn't quite as tough as she seems. Manda has a sharp tongue and can be insensitive when interacting with others. Patience isn't a virtue she possesses and it's most apparent when she's in a crisis. She relies more heavily on braun rather then brain to problem solve, but she's still pretty sharp. She's untrusting and not easily "taken for a ride." Past: Not much is known about her at this time because she'll change the subject rather then talk about it. We do know this: she's from an urban environment and if her scars and penchant for knives are any clue, she's had it pretty rough and has adapted accordingly.

(( Going to get a start on journaling despite still being involved in the Main RP. I'm itchin' for some RPin' so this takes place after how things end in the kitchen. D: ))
Manda walks back to her hut after the crazy events in the kitchen, still in silent disbelief at the pearly pink egg she now carries that is humming at her. She looks at the sparsely furnished room and realizes that she has no clothing here and it's starting to get dark: she'd have to catch the bus and head back to her apartment for necessities and something to entertain herself with. She's pretty sure she and Clean Cu...err...Mara were not going to be best buddies anytime soon and she hadn't really met any other owners but in passing.
She exits her hut, closing the door and walking to the front of the beach house and takes a good look back at the colorful oasis before starting the long walk up the sandy beach towards the bus stop (about a mile up where most beach goers hung out). She looks at the ocean scene as she leisurely strolls, never before realizing how gorgeous a sunset is over water. The red rays are playing with the highlights on her purple hair, making it look more crimson in this light.
She holds Po'ele up, not sure if her eyes are open, softly crooning. "Look, how beautiful it is! Soon you'll be old enough to appreciate it more. Sunsets are beautiful as is the night. Your gem reminded me of the night sky." She gets quieter as she muses. Night time has always been her favorite.
Po'ele's cream colored wings gently rustle as she takes this all in. Being newly aware, she knows there is much to learn and is excited to be out of the kitchen. It was rather tense in there and not much to see. The outdoors are more to her liking so far with the crisp salty air and warm colored sunset in the inky sky. She continues to emit a low approving hum as they walk on.
After a nice fifteen minute walk, they reach the bus stop and sit on the bench, waiting patiently for it to come.

There is very little activity happening as they sit on the old wooden bench with the chipped green paint. The breeze is light and cool this evening.
"Guess there must not be many people out this time of night," Manda mused. She was often just waking up about this time to go to work so she wasn't in tune with how your Average Joe's day went. She hadn't been on a schedule like that in years; the night was when she lived her life. Today had been an oddity in its early wake up time and compulsion to come to this beach...that she was now leaving to return to her dull apartment to grab a few things and then come back. "I hope we make it back in time to catch the last bus, Po'ele, it's a long walk."
Po'ele's eyes are closed and her wings gently flutter as her guardian talks to herself. Nothing was going on to observe anyway, so why stare at nothing? Her humming becomes more drawn out and deeper sounding, like the breathing of a sleeping person.
She notices the change in her Fury's hummings and sneeks a peek. Ah, it appears to be sleeping! She can't help but grin at the little egg with its wings. The thought of a flying egg was just too amusing to her. "I wonder what you'll be like as you grow...and what Sizzla seems to keep hinting at and pulling away from before she reveals too much. What lies in store for you little one?" She holds the egg closer as they continue to wait for the bus.
"It really should be here any minute now." She pulls a battered silver pocket watch out of her jeans. "Good thing I don't have to work tonight or else I'd be running late. Come to think of it...I guess I won't be going back there for awhile, guess I should give them a call and try to explain. But how do you explain something like this?" She shrugs even though no one else is around to see it.
With a loud rattling, the bus comes to a screeching hault and Manda flashes her bus pass as she enters.

As they ascend the stairs, Manda quickly scans to find a seat that isn't too close to other people. Already a few curious onlookers are eyeing the pink egg and seem to wonder what it is: it's not something one sees everyday.
She can hear the whispers as she makes her way to the back left side, trying to keep her temper in check, her blood pressure rising and green eye flashing. She had never done well with other people, having a severe distrust and dislike for them. Her current job suited her well: she was a bouncer at a themed nightclub so whenever she was feeling irritated she'd find some large drunk guy to shove around a bit. It always made her feel better, especially if they tried to fight back.
Manda finally takes a seat, glowering at anyone who dared to turn around and take a look. She was in no mood for this. She silently fumes for a bit, stuck in her negative thoughts.
Unbeknownst to her guardian, Po'ele had revived herself from her sleepy state, eyes now open and observing what has been going on. She can feel the hatred and irritation oozing from Manda, thick and dark. She can also feel the curiousity and various other feelings from others on the bus. Like the kitchen at the house, the air was tense and lacked a friendly air.
As Po'ele stashes these observations away for future use, her cream colored wings start to flutter very quickly, and like a hummingbird she hovers about a half inch off of Manda's hands, finally grabbing the young woman's attention.
The weight of the egg has lifted off of her hands, jerking Manda out of her thoughts and back to the present. Her tones are hushed and surprised. "Oh! You can fly a bit, can you? I wouldn't think anything built like you are could do it....guess they aren't decoration after all!"
She pets the gently humming egg which if she didn't know better, seems to be thinking. That's silly....eggs can't think, can they? Her full lips purse as she ponders the answer to that question. It had eyes, so it must be alive...and living things can think on some level or another. So, it could very well be thinking and by the looks of it, hard. It was concentrating on something.
She gently shakes her head, causing strands of violet hair to lightly brush the egg which lands with a soft thud back in her hands. "Sorry, I must have distracted you." She's forgotten all about the other passengers now and is surprised when the bus stops. The scrolling screen up by the driver giving the name of her stop: Durem North.
"Well, Po'ele, here we go!" She exits the bus in a much different mood then she entered. This time, she doesn't even notice the whispers and occasional pointing and she walks by.
