
The walk to the the barracks, but J'ken supposed he should have expected that, having mutually volunteered with Bayarth to take the room furthest down the hall. He supposed it would be better once Bayarth could fly, but baking in the mid-day heat, lugging all his belonging over one shoulder from the Candidate hall, it suddenly transformed into a considerable walk.
"We could always take a rest, Mine, Bayarth suggested, but Jisken shook his head, the end of the hall already in sight. Not that bad of a walk, he supposed, but a considerable one, nonetheless. Once he reached the top of the stairs, he looked around the barren room, complacent but admittedly somewhat curious as to how this would all work out. Like many things, he supposed his roommate would be here soon, or had already been there and left. It didn't make a difference, either way.
