The Forbidden Forest borders the edges of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry grounds. It is strictly off limits to students, except in the case of detention, or Care of Magical Creatures lessons that occasionally take place there. The Forbidden Forest houses many dangerous creatures, such as a community of centaurs, herds of unicorns and thestrals, and bugbears.

The red-head named Joanna sped out of the Gryffindor common room in a flash. She was getting increasingly bored sitting in her dormitory doing nothing. She had to find something do to, even if it meant giving into a bad habit. She tried to stop herself...maybe go talk to someone. But everyone she passed seemed to be too focused on their own little conversations to be bothered. Their company probably wouldn't keep her entertained for very long, anyway. She sat at the base of the Forbidden Forest, hitting the grass with a soft plop. She drew her wand from her bag and muttered a spell under her breath. In an instant, the patch of grass in front of her was slowly being engulfed by tiny flames. The red-head watched the fire as it danced and flickered. Her eyes were glassy as if she were hypnotized.

She listened to it crackle, watching the grass turn black and ashen. After a few minutes, she shook herself out of her hypnotism and pointed her wand to the flames. "Aguamente." A stream of water shot out of her wand at the fire, immediately extinguishing it. She then uttered another spell, causing a small flame to appear in front of her. She moved it around the air. At least this one wouldn't harm the poor defenseless plants.

The feast in the great hall never brought much more than boredom to the fifth year Slytherin, as most people had gotten the hint to stay five feet away from her at all times. Conversations being had by other students were always dull, and unimpressive, with the big topic for the feast saying what they did over summer vacation. In all honesty, she had heard it all before. Barely picking at the food she had put on her plate before leaving the table and going to her common room for a few brief moments. Just long enough to change into her 'normal' clothes, and to grab her wand.

With the common room being close to empty, she left the dungeons, and found herself traveling outside, near the Forbidden Forest. She couldn't careless about getting into trouble for it, and she was positive she could protect herself from anything should she get into trouble. Smug, she was. Right on the edge of the forest, she looked around to see if there was anyone else near her, and saw a small flame dancing through the air. Another student, no doubt.

Rolling her eyes at the other students antics, she pulled her wand out of the jacket pocket it had been stuffed into. "Lumos." The tip of the wand lit up, but thankfully not to bright. Just enough so she could see where she was going, and hopefully not enough for whoever it was making the fire go through the air. If it were impressive enough for her to care, she probably would have crept up and watched. But it wasn't, so she didn't.

Maybe if she were lucky, she'd be able to find the Threstals.

User Image Aaron was running full speed on all four legs. It was great. He wanted to howl his pleasure to the world again, but he couldn't drop the wand in his jaws. He sped up all the same. And then fire drifted to his nose. He skidded to a stop among the trees. He took short sniffs of the air and then moved to the source of the fire. A girl, but she seemed to be putting on the flames all the same.

Aaron shook his head and his wand went sliding from his teeth. He yelped and ran after it. His nose to the ground, searching for it. He couldn't have tossed it that far. He frowned with the dog's features. As he looked up there was a small dancing light coming towards him. He barked out at curse and went to hide in some bushes. As soon as the light and possible person passed he would search for his lost wand again.

Adriane Lonertz

So you could say I’m different,
And maybe I’m a freak

______________________________________________

Adriane stopped her wandering among the edge of the forest, and tilted her head. For a moment there, she could have sworn she had heard a something yelp like it had been kicked. Raising an eyebrow, she lifted up a foot just to check if she had stepped on something. Just to be careful, as she would hate to have an angry creature chasing after her for the remainder of the night. Content with the fact that she had not in fact stepped on anything, she took a few more slow steps deeper into the forest, only to stop again. There had been another sound, a bit like something skidding across the forest floor. Nothing of interest, as there were plenty of odd noises in the forest at night, even in the daylight.

A frown fixated itself on her face, and she dropped her wand closer to the ground, eyes searching the ground for anything that may have skidded across the forest floor. Nothing interesting, just dirt and broken branches. Rolling her eyes are her own reaction to a simple sound, she raised her wand back up to height where she'd be able to see five feet in front of her. But the sound of something scurrying through the bushes alerted her again. Mumbling a curse, she dropped her hand down low again, sweeping over the ground with her eyes. More sticks, more dirt, a wand.

A small smirk came onto her face, as she bent down and picked it up. Either someone was wandering around Hogwarts without a wand, or someone was wandering around the forest and lost it. Twirling the wand between two fingers, her smirk grew a tiny bit bigger. Her wand hand was raised, and her eyes searched the forest around her just a tiny bit better, particularly around the spot she had heard the noises come from the most.

Morgan mentally ran through the twisted semi-path she often used to find the Thestrals. Just as she was about to step into the forest, Sam grabbed her hand, entwining their fingers. An unexpected move that she would allow. For now. She didn't buy into his, "so we don't get separated" reasoning. As a warning not to let his hands wander or get too comfortable, Morgan dug her nails into the back of his hand. Not hard enough to draw blood, but hard enough to get her point across. "Hurry." The sooner they got there, the sooner they could leave. She wasn't very happy about having to play tour guide, but there was nothing she could do about it now.

Tugging on Sam's hand, she walked through the trees. She kept her wand in hand, but relaxed by her side. Hopefully she wouldn't need it. Her eyes easily adjusted to the blackness of the forest. Morgan nimbly hopped over fallen tree branches and scattered rocks, all the while dragging Sam along behind her. "Watch where you step."

(( Morgan, Sam and Angelica will be invading from a different thread now~ xD ))

Angelica had just taken another step toward the edge of the trees when Sam held out his hand for her, saying it was so they wouldn't get separated. Glaring at his fingers, she took a step to the side, away from him. "I think I'll manage not to lose the both of you, thanks."

She was about to begin walking again when Morgan stepped past her, holding Sam's hand. Of course. She wondered what exactly had happened between the two of them to cause an intense fight followed by Morgan allowing Sam to hold her hand shortly after. From a little ways ahead, Angelica heard Morgan say "Hurry." Heeding this command (mostly because she didn't want to be left behind), Angelica lowered her wand to see where she would have to place her feet. Getting caught on an exposed root or two, Angelica hurried after Morgan and Sam, who were going at a brisk pace.

((Thread invasion! Woo!))

User Image Aaron could do nothing but watch as a girl bent down and picked up his wand. A small whine escaped him. He was in trouble if he lost his wand. He had to get it back. He sighed, knowing he was about to do something really mean.

Aaron bared his teeth and when he was sure he had a very vicious expression, he began to growl. It was soft at first, but grew and seemed to echo in the trees. It freaked him out even.

Aaron came into the light of her wand, still growling. He needed his wand. He just wanted to scare her enough so she would drop it. He snarled at her and gave a powerful bark. He could feel his fur standing on end. He was sure he was frightening.

User Image Sam made an "ow" expression, curving his lips around the word that didn't come out. Morgan had sharp a** nails. It was probably better that she punched instead of did the girly scratching stuff. Scratching might hurt worse. He shook his head and looked back to Angelica, still hoping for her hand. She shut him down and he frowned. Well, so much for that.

Sam stumbled as Morgan pulled him along. "Explain to me how I can watch my steps when I can't even seen our joined hands!" He said, pulling on her hand lightly to emphasize his point. He grumbled incoherent words as he stumbled on. He reached for his wand since he had a free hand. "Mind if I give us some light... I know your doing just fine, but I'm going to break my neck at this rate..."

Angelica rolled her eyes as Sam asked Morgan if he could light his wand. She jumped over a few fallen branches and trotted to catch up, using her wand to illuminate her path as well as Sam's. "Better?" She gave him a smirk, before the toe of her shoe caught on a vine of some sort and she stumbled before regaining her footing. "Bloody hell," she mumbled. Raising her voice, she asked Morgan, "Are we almost there?"

She made sure to keep Sam's footing lit as she followed the two other Slytherins. She was about to ask her question again when she heard a growling. She stopped dead for a moment and then did grab Sam's hand. The growling stopped and then a loud bark sounded. Angelica squeaked out, "What is that?" She wasn't as afraid as she would be without Morgan, but she was still worried enough. Forgetting herself for a moment, she stood closer to Sam, not sure where the bark had come from.

Sam nodded to Angelica. "Much..." He told her softly. He did his best to hide a smile as Angelic nearly fell. Though her question was a good one. Sam was a little worried about this idea. He couldn't see Thestrals. He could get into some trouble with that little issue.

Sam shook his head and whispered the spell to light his wand. He returned the favor of lighting Angelica's path. His fingers pulled on Morgan's hand. Just a reminder to her that he was there.

Then a growling echoed through the woods. The trio stopped for a moment. Sam held Morgan's hand, so when he stopped she had no choice really. Angelica was suddenly clinging to Sam's free hand. She moved all the closer to him. Sam wrapped his arm around Angelica, not letting go of her hand though so his arm had to pass over her head to loop around her.

Sam was only trying to be protective. Well, mostly. He looked out into the darkness. "You know... It actually sounds like a big dog... Kind of like the strays we have wondering the allies back home..." He answered Angelica's question.

So if I’m going down, I’m going down good
And if I’m going down, then I’m going down clean
And if I’m going down then I’m going
The prettiest broken girl you’ve ever seen.

The sound of a dog whining made her take a small step back. She had probably just ******** up pretty badly, although she wasn't about to admit she had made a mistake and drop the wand. Instead, her eyes locked on the bushes where she had heard the previous sounds come from, and pointed her wand. Just to be on the safe side, after all, she wasn't about to petrify a chihuahua or something along those lines. When the growl began to sound throughout the forest, she took another step back, out of pure nature. She wasn't frightened, nothing but a reaction to the sound of a dogs growl echoing through the forest. At least, that's what she would claim if anyone asked.

But just as the creature who was growling stepped into the light of her wand, she smirked, regaining her composure. It was just a husky. Nothing compared to the Rottweilers she had at home. Nothing. However, she did manage to finch when the dog let out a powerful sounding bark. Well then, that certainly called attention to herself. With the smirk still on her face, she raised the hand with the wand she had just found. "This what you want?" she questioned, her tongue flickering over her bottom lip for a second. The Slytherin girl half wanted to chuck it as far as she could, and tell the dog to fetch it, but she withdrew from the thought. The dog was either an animagus, or an experiment gone horribly wrong.

User Image Aaron was glad his bark had at least had some kind of effect on her. She held up his wand and asked if he wanted it. What could he do? He growled again, but that really seemed to have no effect on getting his way. He sat down and whined up at her. He gave small barking sounds that could almost be made out as "yes, yes, yes!" if you listened hard enough.

Aaron pawed at the ground in front of him. He dipped his head and watched her. He whined softly again. He needed his wand. He thought about changing back and just asking for it, but that brought up too many issues. One person knew his secret, he didn't want another one to know to. Besides, there was the whole naked issue right then.

Sam lit his wand and lit Angelica's path. She had already almost fallen face-first into the dead leaves and dirt, so she was only a little grateful. He was about two minutes too late with the wand-lighting.

After the growling occured and Angelica moved closer to Sam, grabbing his hand, he wrapped his arm around her, not letting go of her hand while he did so. Her first thought was to hex him, but then she remembered that Morgan had gently touched his shoulder before and was holding his hand voluntarily now, and Angelica quickly changed her mind to hoping that she wouldn't be the one who ended up hexed. He held her tight to him and murmured about the noises they had heard. "A dog? On Hogwarts grounds?" Angelica asked incredulously. Though she supposed that it did sound like a dog, it just seemed unlikely that a dog would be in the Forbidden Forest. "How could that be, Samael?"

Sam glanced over to Morgan. He pulled her slowly closer to him. He didn't wrap his arm around her like he did Angelica. He was still mostly afraid that too much touching would get him hit. And she'd already proven she was willing to hit in the most sensitive places. He personally would like not to have his balls kneed twice in one night.

Sam looked back to Angelica as he heard her first words. "Yeah... A dog... On Hogwarts grounds... Well, Kind of..." He said softly. Technically, they were in the Forbidden Forest. The grounds of the school were just beyond the forest, but the forest did belong to the school. He shrugged. He was just getting to into details now.

Sam didn't even bother correcting her use of his name. She would do what she wanted and correcting her would just make her want to use his full name all the more. "Damned if I know..." He answered her question.
