Okay, for the record I do not know if this is 100% true. But if it is it's a prime example of just how mental/full of herself Meyer truly is.
Last season South Park had an episode that parodies Hot Topic and 'Vampire Kids'. At the start of the show Twilight is quietly referenced by one of the female students.
Now, from what I've heard this episode was supposed to an complete and utter Twilight parody. But when they were still in the works of creating it Meyer contacted them and snarled that if they DARED to make the Episode she would file a lawsuit.
Sounds like it could be true. But so far I can't find any proof.
Anyone else hear news about this? -_-

I saw that episode. Yeah, it was making fun of her, but not BLATANTLY. If you thought about it, you could tell. Everyone else is fine with being parodied, except her HIGHNESS. e_e

Tom Cruise had a s**t fit and filed a lawsuit against the makers of South Park after they mocked scientology. Now they are no longer allowed to air the episode.

I agree with Sammitch, South Park makes fun of everything, no book, person, movie, author, etc. is safe. And I have a question thats completely off topic ^^ who was it in the guild that had a siggy that said "Love black and white items *wink wink*" or something along those lines? its gonna drive me nuts

I wouldn't be surprised if she did that. I mean, seriously, I think a fandom could be judged on the parody. Look at all the Harry Potter parodies. The fans love them. Lord Of the Rings, Star Wars. Everyone is fine with it, because good parodies come out of it. And of course the fandom, because we seem to have more of an opened mind about it, loves them. Now, Twilight? Twilight is a parody in itself. Just, not a very funny parody. And I bet you Meyer doesn't want to make it look like it's "bad". Though, she does a very good job herself. I mean she did need the movie for her series to become famous. Buying her way into fame instead of using talent. It's laughable.

We should sue her for trauma! You can sue just about anyone about anything for trauma. You stepped on my toe! Now, whenever I see a shoe I involuntarily scream and begin beating it with a whisk!

I saw that episode. Lol. That's satire for you, and South Park does a good job.
Though Meyer takes everything personally, it would be nice if we could see her actually enjoy the parodies instead of going nuts whenever someone shares their opinions about her 'amazing'(sarcasm) book.

I love that episode per say. Especially when the Goth kids basicly explained the differences between Twitards and Goths.
Smeyer needs an ego check. There's an older episode where they're obsessed with Lord of the Rings and I remember a small refference to Harry Potter where Cartman called it "gay" and as far as I know, neither JK Rowling nor any HP fans were too upset about it.

No, because it's harmless and poking fun. Meyer seems like she's rather incapable of understanding this.
