I guess I should've seen this coming! *giggles* Well Mikaila, seems like by the time your girls are adults, you'll already have two sons-in-law! ...But goodness, I haven't seen Eli look like that in a while. *worried frown*Elbi: *grins at the sight of her sister and Kenji, but freezes at her father's voice, whispers to Jocoa* ...Yeah, he does, doesn't he? *momentarily frowns, then puts on a wide grin again, trying to force a lighter mood* Yes Papa, this is Jocoa! I see you've already met Kenji! Can Jo stay for dinner too?Eli: *glares at Jocoa, wondering why both his daughters ended up with cattaurs* As your mother said before, Elbi, Izzy's the one who's cooking. Ask her. *storms into the house, fuming and muttering to himself, but trying to contain it like one would try to contain dangerous explosives*Elbi: Well, Izzy? *flashes a supportive smile at her sister and the boys* Don't worry, we have Mama and Auntie Evi! They won't let Papa do anything too terrible. *smile falters for a second* ...I hope. (XD LAWL.) Izadora: Calm down, Kenji. -She takes a deep breath and picks at his hand, her little tail perked up with all the emotions running through her- If-if I get grounded, I'll just sneak out... and come find you, alright? -blushing, she turns back to her sister and the freak before spazzing out too much. Seeing Elbi's face, Izadora frowns and looks down at the ground guilty, kicking at a pebble- If he doesn't give us all cooties, he can have the scraps. -Snapping up, her eyes level Jo's with a glare before tugging around the house towards the meat shed- Mikaila: Jocoa, is it? -she looks at him closely before grinning at Evi- I can only hope! It would just break my heart to know that those two got away. -turning back to the window she finds her mate- He was in such a good mood before he met the boys. I thought that maybe he would have a little sense since he was in that position before, but I- Eli! -snapping up, Mikaila scooted as far away as she could from the window and her spying ways- (Sup! 8D Mako, that smiley is gold. xD)
*then he caught Kenji's look and he frowned. Realizing how nervous they both actually were, he straightened his back and gave the other cattaur a reassuring nod. They'd get through this, whatever it was they were getting into.
When those two had vanished around the house, he turned to Ebli and took her hand in both of his and gave a weak smile, trying to sound like he was playing around* I'm not sure about this Elbi. Both your dad and sister look at me like I'm a plague. If I don't come out of this alive, would you make sure my parents get my body back?

 Elbaima giggled at her sister, not catching the glare and so assuming she was joking about the cooties and scraps. "Thanks, Izzy! I'll go set the table, then!" she called after her, turning to go inside the house, but hesitating since her father had just gone in as well.
She laughed lightly at Jocoa's request, though there was a hint of nervousness behind it. "Oh, don't be silly. We'll be fine!" she assured him, also trying to convince herself.  Elitalov raised an eyebrow at Mikaila as she scooted away and his sister as she grinned sheepishly from her place at the window, but was too perturbed at the moment to realize they were spying on him. "I'm guessing you knew about them from the beginning, didn't you, Evi?" he accused, sullenly crossing his arms.
Evisule smiled with a bit of embarrassment. "Well, yes, they were friends since childhood, but I didn't know they were... together," she replied, leaving out that she had guessed anyway that the four would end up paired in such a manner.

 Izadora tugged Kenji just around the corner of the house before stopping. She was biting her lower lip, what stamina she had picked up slowly waning off. He looked like he didn't really want to be here with her at all and that bothered her. "Setsuna," she spoke his name softly, turning her head to look up at him with her ears down. "You don't have to stay if you don't want too. I can understand if you'd rather leave, and I can't promise you that dad will stop being Mr. Rawr while your here." But she wanted him there and she didn't think she could stomach supper with Jocoa there alone. "I think it's all rather cute." Mikaila piped up, coming to her sister-in-law's defense. She pouted and propped her hands on her hips, sticking her head up defiantly. "They've had such a long time to get to know one another and by now they've made life long friends, maybe even something more if we're lucky. I for one would rather have those two boys in the family than some stray buck ready to plant his seeds."
The cervitaur laughed and waved it all off, too thrilled at the prospect of her daughter's falling in love to consider her mate's distress. She trotted over to him and snatch the hares from him, flipping up a knife that Izadora had left on the counter. "Let's go outside and skin these up for Izzy, okay? I'm sure she'd like to have something fresh for supper." Mikaila motioned back to the door.

As soon as his first name was said, his composure immedealty snapped into the total opposite. His ear's folded back, as a goofy grin curled on his lips; a faint glow of amber rose on his cheeks, and a low purr started up. "Mew!" a kitten like mewl escaped him, without his consent. Quickly his eye's sqooze shut, his nose wrinkling up in embarressment. He wasn't even able to concentrate on most of what Izadora said. Nodding frantically, he tried his best to regain control of himself. "I-it's ok, Izadora.. I d-don't want to b-be r-UDE.." his voice cracked nervously, causing his hands to clentch into fists and cover his face. A snake like tail whipped madly as he could feel his cheeks burn.

 Jocoa's usually broad smile came off crooked, showing just how nervous he actually felt despite his attempts to hide it. "If you say so, then I really hope it's true. You know your family better, obviously." He chewed on one of his lips a little before leading Elbaima to the house door and holding it open for her. It was odd, but as much as that kiss before had made his heart pound, he had felt contentment at some layer of himself. He searched for that feeling now to keep himself calm... ish. Why was he so afraid anyway? His tail curled around his back leg to hide the awkward twitching it wanted to do. "I can help with the table if you want."

Eli's eye twitched. "And how do we know those two aren't ready to... to plant?" he asked, horrified at the thought, his face contorted in an expression of anger and protectiveness. Muttering to himself about suspicious cattaurs and innocent yet annoyingly defiant daughters, he followed his mate out, taking out the dagger she had given him just as he passed Jocoa, then taking one of the rabbits and skinning them with probably a bit more force than was needed.
Elbi smiled as her mother passed but shrank back a little as her father followed, forcing herself to keep the smile plastered on her face. The second her parents were out of the way she pulled Jocoa inside, relieved to find only her aunt in there. "Hi, Auntie Evi. I'm guessing you've been watching us?" she giggled.
Evi sighed as Eli left, feeling an emotion she had been unused to for a long while - frustration. The last time she had felt like this was when her parents had acted the same way with her brother. If things kept up the way they were going, though she didn't want to, she would bring up the past if necessary, even if it brought her brother pain. She wouldn't allow him to become like their parents, and she would do what she had to to help her nieces. Even so, she was sure Mikaila would be able to keep him in check. She had done a well enough job so far.
She laughed as she was pulled from her thoughts by the entrance of Elbi and Jo. "Am I that obvious?" she asked with a smile. "Hello, Jocoa, good to see you again, though I wish it were under less stressful circumstances." With a jovial wink, she pulled out some plates and handed it to the cattaur, then retrieved some roughly carved forks and gave them to her niece. "I heard you two talking about setting the table, so there you go."
"Thank, Auntie Evi," Elbi said with a grateful smile. Her aunt always seemed to brighten up dark situations, and once again the thought of her mother and aunt being there to balance out her father comforted the young cervi.

She knew she'd struck a chord with him and smiled a bit in response. He was so cute when he purred! It made her feel a little jolt of uber happiness to catch him off gaurd like that."Sometimes your too polite." The back of Izadora's neck burned as color spread up to her cheeks. She gently gripped his wrists and pulled them down before swinging their joined arms back and forth in an effort to show the kitten it was alright without words. "It's okay to be rude once in a while," tilting her head to the side, she giggled. "So long as you don't make a habit of it."
Izadora let go of Kenji in a sweep as she trotted across the back yard to the meat shed. She splashed through a large puddle, covering her lower half in muck and after giving it a moment's consideration, shrugged and flung the door open. "Do you like fish, Setsy?" Her blue eyes saught him out through the veil of hair covering her shoulder as she turned. "I'm assuming that you do because your a cattaur, but I don't want to run on prejudice." A nagging thought told her that Jocoa probably liked fish. She'd have to find a minnow for him.
Mikaila felt a vein ticking. "We don't know. You just have to have faith in their parents." All too suddenly she felt like her mother trying to explain to her father that her brother's girlfriend was not the village whore. She shrugged passively at Evi before walking out with him, giving a smile to her daughter and a glare all at once at her mate for potentially scaring the poor boy. Trotting around to make the spot soft, she tucked her legs underneath her with added precision and sat. "Would you rather we kept them under a rock?" She hissed in a whisper, leaning over so the teens couldn't possibly see her face. "It's not like their mated already. Their just...friends and friends we can handle, okay?"

Izadora's dainty little hands gripping his slightly larger wrists caused Kenji to slowly open his eye's. Flushed golden cheek's, Kenji's corners of his mouth curled up slightly as his purr began to simmer. "Oh no, Izadora. I hafta be polite. It's not nice to be mean." His voice was ever so soft, still emberressed from his pubecent actions.
Following her diligintly, he observed the backyard, smelling the fresh air.
As he came to the puddle as well, he paused for a moment, and carefully stepped over it. Not liking his white pelt being tainted.
Once over coming that obstacle and arriving at the shed, Kenji's body tensed as the smell of meat reached him.
Arctice ice eye's widened as his pupil's shrunk. Nose wrinkling, and ears falling back, Kenji was completely frozen.
His tail curled under his feline body all the way.
As if a petrifying spell had come over him.

Elbi was not the only one shrinking from Eli. The adult cervi's timing with the dagger was good enough to make Jocoa's stomach drop. Had that been aimed for his neck?!
He would have stayed rooted in place, watching Eli stalking off, if Elbi hadn't pulled him into the house. His ears unplastered from his head when he saw Evi, recognizing her from his childhood. "H-Hi, er, miss- um- Evi. Again." He stuttered, still shaken up by the angry cervi and his knife.
Looking at the plates suddenly in his hands with surprise, Jocoa handled them as if they were glass, afraid to break something. Allowing his tail to uncurl for balance, feeling safe that it wouldn't become the target of anyone inside at the moment, he walked over and set the plates around the table, slowly relaxing again. Enough, at least, to look at Elbaima and give her a small smile.

Arian's hands tightened on the basket he held as he stood at the edge of the yard. His eyes darted around as he noted the faint noises of conversations and other activities. Already the male cervitaur could easily tell that more than just the usual family was home. 'Seems to be a busy time...' He was fine with that though as long as she was here too.
'The girls must've brought some friends home with them.' He chuckled as he imagined Eli's reaction should their guests be male as well. Adjusting the hunting knife hanging around his waist, Arian grinned. "I'm sure he'll love to see me too!"
With a smirk on his face, Arian quickly trotted from the shadows and towards the front door. While he figured that someone was probably around back, he still decided to knock. Five rapid knocks resounded from the door before Arian took a step back to patiently wait.

Eli sighed as he cleaned out the rabbit's insides. "Alright, alright," he conceded. "But if they try anything... anything at all..." His thoughts caused him to clean the rabbit a bit more vehemently and not notice the arrival of Arian.
Elbi giggled as she watched Jocoa, glad that he was visibly relaxing. She set the forks down on the right side of each plate, keeping close to the cattaur so that she could feel the comforting warmth of his body.
Evi's ears perked up as she trotted over to the door, wondering why Mikaila or Eli would need to knock. Upon opening it, she gasped in joyful surprise. "Why Arian, what brings you here? Come in, come in!" she ushered, half with the politeness of a hostess, half with the worry of how her brother would react. She hadn't told Eli a thing about her and Arian yet, and with good reason.

Mikaila patted his arm and smiled affectionately before cuddling up closer to him. "If they try anything, I'll be right by your side." She said in a comforting whisper. Her arm slipped underneath his and tugged it closer to her chest so that she could coil both appendages around it, pulling back some so he wouldn't destroy the rabbit. "Loosen up, love." Mikaila placed a light kiss on his shoulder, followed by another and another and another... "If it worries you so much, maybe we should have some more," she tossed up before giving his collarbone a nibble.
"Are you deaf or something?" Izadora laughed, playing his shock off on the chopped up fishies hanging near the door. She'd caught them herself and even if she hadn't shown her father yet, she was sure they belonged in the shed just as much as everything else here.
But Kenji wasn't moving. Biting her lower lip, the young cervi made a hesitant move closer to him and placed her pink hoof in the mud puddle, one hand at her side and the other clutching the door. "Keeeeennnnnjjjjjiiiii? Hello? A-Are you okay in there?" He looked like some kind of something her mother had shown her as a fawn. She couldn't place her finger on it, but she knew it had terrified her. That at least explained the goose flesh. "KENJI!" She screamed abruptly. "What the hell up, your scaring me."

Eye's on the hanging dead fish, Kenji's heart began to pulse faster.
It pounding started to crescendo, along with his breathing.
Almost as if he were to hypervenilate. His face began to go slightly pale, his mouth drying and hands getting clammy.
Un-blinking, his eye's were locked on the fish, everything else blocked out.
Image's of his own pet fish began to blurr into his mind, pictures of them being hung along with the one's presented before him.
He began to mew quietly, ever so quietly, backing up slowly.
"Th-...Fih-.." his words were slurred and scratchy, as he attempted to
respond to her.

Bouyed by the pink cervi's closeness, Jocoa couldn't contain a soft purr from rumbling in his chest. His smile smoothly going from crooked to broad again, he allowed himself to brush an arm against Elbi's while Evi was answering the door. His purr stuttered a moment at the sight of antlers, but they were obviously not the scary father's.
His ears perked when he though he heard a yell outside. Probably just Kenji and Izadora playing. He had more important things in front of him though, like not dropping this last plate before setting it on the table. "Do we need anything else?"

Arian's face immediately brightened at seeing Evi. "I well...I wanted to visit." He grinned sheepishly at her before stepping into the doorway, "But it appears rather busy here today. What's going on? Is...Is it a bad time for me to visit?" His eyes flashed with worry. Would he get sent back already?
Ears twitching Arian turned his gaze back outside before Evi could answer, "Was that a scream just now?" He looked back to Evi, unsure of what to do. Maybe it was just one of the girls playing?
