Rap's fiery nature and seemingly endless bounds of energy had truly helped him grow in the skills of fighting. It also helped that he'd found himself a teacher - a strong rogue willing to help out a Firekin. Rap wasn't sure why the big male had agreed, but whatever the reason he didn't seem in a hurry to share it. Either way, Rap appreciated it. He was going to need all the help he could get!
What he didn't appreciate, however, was the fact that his teacher never went easy on him. Everyday he'd ache and hurt from the vicious training sessions.
Today, for a change, he'd gotten off lightly.
All he had was a gash across his snout and though it stung a little it would heal in no time. He was tending to another wound - an older one that was close to healing - on his foreleg. The wound had been a horrible gash but now the tissue was healing. The healing process sure did itch, though! He washed it a few times to try and ease the insufferable sensation and then gave up, deciding that walking might help.
He never strayed too far from his teacher, but sometimes it was good to get some peace and quiet.

Gold eyes looked around the Savannah before finally falling on the orange pelted Rap seemingly to be around his own age. He tilted his head a moment they looked a lot similar in size. He let out a small hum before a smirk came to his lips. This other male must be close like him and came from once he came. He thought as he sat down and began to watch then male curiously a moment before tilting his head taking in the healing gash.
Damu's curious eyes then stopped to look at Rap's face a moment before he gave a polite bow of the head. He didn't speak just yet how ever he wasn't going to disturb the other unless he was interested in pulling away from his what looked to be mind rambling about the wounds he had.

Rap spotted the other and a light, thoughtful frown fell upon his face. So who was this dude coming round here staring at him? Did he want to start something? Yeah, he probably did! Why wouldn't he? After all, Rap was starting to look like a warrior now. It was sure going to attract attention.
He turned towards the male and paused, letting his fire-yellow eyes focus on him.
"Can I help you with something, there?" He asked. "Or are you just admiring the view?" Another smile cracked on his face. Yes...he knew how to be an a**...

Damu was perfectly fine to sit there till he heared the last few words from the others mouth as he let out a loud growl as he stormed over to the male. "Big words coming from one such as you! How dare you think I was looking at you yeah I might have I was taking i your battle scares not the way you want me to." He teased the man back as he sat down not to far from him waving his paw at him.
"Go on now clean that wound of yours don't ask for help or nothing pussycat." He said shrugging the man off looking to the sky to watch the clouds pass by before looking back to the male. "Why id you leave?" He asked bluntly.

He curled a lip, amused. This boy had more of a mouth on him than he did. Should he teach him a lesson? Nah. Maybe it might be fun talking to a big mouth, there were too many timid cats about nowadays.
"I don't need help and these scars ain't nothing to be ashamed of. Warriors have them, you know. The ladies love 'em, too." He grinned, a rattling purr starting into life.
The sound came to an abrupt halt at the question, seemingly born out of randomness. "Leave? Well, I could ask the same of you, couldn't I? You're here too, which means you left. I have my reasons. You have yours. I'm not going to pry, so why should you?" His hackles had raised a little.
What was he supposed to do when his pride parted ways? Go grovelling to the enemy? No way in hell!

"Just curious...thought we where suppose to stay and protect is all...and here I am leaving in the middle of the night not telling a soul...Just woke one night and left." He said softly as he looked to the other.
He looked to the other as he thought a moment what the hell was he doing he usually just kept to himself less he was talking to Azar. He sighed heavily as he thought of the little firekin princess. Did she even miss him? Doughtful she never seemed to like him. He looked to the sky a moment growling as he stood turning to leave he wouldn't find his purpose here.
Though something made him stop something was nagging at the back of his mind. He looked to the other ml a long moment before he moved back to him taking in a closer look. "Why are you so heavily guarded you won't tell a fellow lion...a fellow brother about your life?" He said as he looked curiously at the male.

He hissed and growled, the fur rising along his neck. The white tuft of growing mane streaked across his flaming eyes, momentarily masking them from view. He would have retorted but then it seemed the male was heading off and he stepped after him - perhaps to pounce him whilst his back was turned. And then he looked back and Rap froze, a growl rumbling in his chest.
"I'm not your fellow brother." He snapped. "You're one of those. The traitors. I'm Safi." He curled a lip. "And my life has nothing to do with you." He shook with rage. "You had a good home in those lands. Those stolen lands. Yet you chose to walk away."
He could feel his rage consuming him.

He watched the other a moment as he finally realized what that little bit of nagging was he was probably in the worst place possible fr him. Though yes they came from a similar blood line of strong firkins they where completely different in mind. He looked to the sky curing himself in a way.
He then took a deep breath and looked to the other male with n more fear if he was to be a great firekin like that of his father and the ones before him he should not how any fear.
"Safi...I see. I am...was from the Simo." He said and then paused a moment chuckling. "No I am from there." He said as he stretched out before looking to the other curiously.
"I see now why you have turned your back on the homelands but even so why flee the place you loved all because of change that had come to the lands. Do we not change with every day? Do we not grow stronger and bigger?"

"It isn't about the land. You're Simo desert means nothing to me. I was born outside of it. I never stepped within it. No. I love the warmth of the sun, the sand beneath my paws, but desert is desert to me. The bit Simo hold is no different to where I was born or any other desert in this land." He was boiling with rage now.
He hated the Simo, but it was not because of petty wars and broken oaths to some Goddess he doubted even existed. It was because he blamed them for destroying his family.
"You'd best go now before I lay my claws into you, Simo." He growled, his eyes narrowed.
