The blind Saigh was sunbathing in afternoon sun. He was at the northren most part of the beach, near the dark forest. He liked to do this, when he wasn't making others feel akward just by being there, something about being near a blind creature made them feel funny, a feeling they didn't like. He listened to the waves splash against the shore, and the seagulls squaking over head. He smiled in content, his sightless eyes staring up at the cloudless sky, he felt the warm sand beneath him begin to cool, and rolled to a new spot on the sandy beach.

Bearclaw was out in the water. He had taken it upon himself to go for a swim on such a lovely day. The water was nice and cool on his slightly over-heated coat. It was a warm day, one where he could run around chasing the gulls for hours on end without feeling a chill. He liked the shore. Here there was always a wind that cooled, one that smelled of the salt water that lay below. Today, he had travelled further up the coast than he ever had before. He was heading towards the dark forest, but for now he had stopped to enjoy the water flowing around him. He ducked his head under, and when he came back up, he planted his feet to shake off, getting water out of his eyes. When he opened them he was staring up at the gulls circling over head.

The blind Saigh rolled to his feet when he heard a splashing, a sound he normally didn't hear when at the beach, alone. It was the sound of a land creature walking through the water. His ears swiveled around trying to find out the exact location of the other creature. A cool, salty, breeze swept the other male's scent to him. Gailito thanked the mist for the breeze for it helped him with two things, he now knew it was a Saigh not a bear, or other creature like that, and it helped him come up with an almost exact location, "Hello?" He called out turning to look in the general area of the male, even though, in his world of sounds, scents, smells, and what he touched, turning wouldn't help in the slightest to help him. He had found out it made the other Saigh more comfortable when he even seemed to be looking at them

He heard someone call a greeting, and it drew his attention away from the gulls overhead. Bearclaw looked back down to ground level and saw that ahead of him, a little further up the beach, close to the treeline was another Saigh. He was tan, and was looking in his direction. "Hello!" He strode a little closer, stepping onto the sand before shaking himself off. His fur went all fluffy from the shake, and then he continued, "I'm Bearclaw. Nice to meet you." He spoke from the edge of the water, not wanting to startle the other male by encroaching on a possible territory or anything like that.

Gailito's ears swiveled and locked on the postition where the other male was standing. The blind Saigh walked over to him, stopping when the sand beneath his paws began to feel damp, which put him about a yard from the other male. "I'm Gailito. Nice to meet you too." He smiled politely, his light blue eyes twinkled slightly. "What are you doing around here? Not many come here, because of the Dark Forest. The light colored Saigh turned his head, as if to look at the treeline. "Always wanted to see what was in there...." He said talking partly to himself.

He waited for the other male to speak, and when he did, he posed questions. So answers it was. "The Dark Forest is just that. A forest, that is perhaps a little more dangerous than most. I've never actually set foot in it, but I've been around it's borders and I must say, it kind of calls to me." He stops there, not sure of what else to say. He was here because... this was where his feet had lead him? He was a curious creature, and often just let himself stride into new places to explore.

Gailito nodded, "I believe it calls to many Saigh, expecially those with a love to explore, and have adventures. I feel a certain pull toward the forest, and I wonder if it's the longing for adventure or if Derwena-Abhlach is calling to me, though I don't know why such a magnificant oak would call for me, a Saigh that has barely been in the edges of the forest," Shaking his head, he looked back toward the other male, and apologized. "Sorry if I'm boring you. It's just I'm curious about what's in there," The Saigh paused for a moment and suddenly seemed interested in the sand beneath his forepaws. Then he looked up quickly, an slightl excited look on his face, "Would you like to go and explore the Dark Forest with me?"

What a wonderful idea the other Saigh had just posed! Bearclaw also took on a look of excitement. His eyes shone brightly and his ears were perked up, maybe there was even a little wag to his short tail.
"I would love to! I've been wanting to head in there one of these days and finally explore that unknown. What better opportunity than this? I would love to go exploring this great forest with you, to find that very thing that seems to call to us both."

Gailito nodded, and began walking towards the forest, "Okay the, let's go!" he called over his shoulder, though he slowed to a stop right inside the treeline, he could only tell by the lack of the sun's warmth on his back, and the smell of trees around him, turning to look in the general direction of hi companion he said, "Oh and one more thing I think you should know before we go any farther, if you haven't figured it out already, I'm blind. Hope that's not a problem for you."
