Personality: Mikoto is a stern woman who does not allow anyone on her squad to fall below 100%. Although she is this way, she’s still a kind-hearted woman and can be quite motherly to those who seek her advice. Mikoto is also very level-headed and always thinks and plans her moves ahead of time to ensure there are minimal mistakes and casualties. Despite her kind nature, she never lets anyone get too close to her therefore, she keeps almost everyone at arm’s length when it comes to her personal matters (there are very few exceptions).
Prefences: Tea, relaxing in hot springs after a long day, a good night’s rest, various living world confections.
Peeves: Chaotic battle plans, pocky, rainy days.
Background: Mikoto was born and raised in Rukongai along with two brothers ( one older and one younger ) and a younger sister. Her life was pretty uneventful, due to the fact that she chose to stay to herself and become studious. Though she was the second born, she has always watched over her siblings, making sure that no harm came to them.

As she grew older, her desire to protect grew as well, leading her to enroll in the Shinigami Academy. During her time there, she devoted herself to her studies and graduated at the top of her class. Afterward, she was recruited into the Juusanbantai (13th squad ) where she stayed for 10 years, rising in the ranks until she was appointed as Juunibantai ( 12th squad ) taichou.

Zanpakuto Name: Girochin; “Guillotine”
Sealed Description: Girochin, when sealed, takes the form of a wakizashi. The blade is a silvery gray and is always polished. His guard is oval shaped and it is engraved with an ornate design around the edge.
Shikai Ability: Haneru, Girochin!; “Behead, Girochin!”
The once small, unreleased version of Girochin turns into a large cleaver that resembles a smoother version of Ichigo’s Zangetsu. It’s blade is a smoke gray color and the edges shine brilliantly.

Kuroi Koutetsu Girochin ( Black Steel Guillotine )
Mikoto channels her reiatsu into her released zanpakutou, turning the sword a midnight black and making her cuts much sharper than they were.
Bankai: Beserker
Mikoto places Girochin in front of her and kneels while channeling her reiatsu, turning Girochin into a mini guillotine. The guillotine then quickly releases, phasing through Mikoto’s neck, symbolizing her head being severed which also represents her mind being separated from her body. This action causes her to lose her once rational demeanor, turning her into a violent beserker. This move also increases her strength, reaction, and speed by 100%.

Mikoto only uses this when she deems it necessary because of the danger that comes with it. She also needs to have her fukutaichou nearby to pull her out of her bankai’s effects. She is pulled out of it by being restrained with Way of Binding #75, taking her zanpaktou and phasing it through her neck again, reattaching her original mind state. After Mikoto uses her bankai, however, she must rest for two days to regain her strength as this requires a great deal of reiatsu to pull off.
Special Abilities: Skilled in Shunpo, knows Kidou up to #89 { hadou, bakudou, and unclassified }, and extreme knowledge.

Sexuality: Questionable.

Personality: Shin’s seemingly polite and courteous, quirky personality hides a rather cruel, and self-serving individual who will stop at nothing to further his own goals. Always analyzing the situation at hand, Shin is typically trying to weasel in one of his many experiments into the business of other squads, sometimes without their captains even knowing. He cares about very few people, and won’t think twice before sacrificing a “pawn” to advance the situation in his favor.

Prefences: Strawberry pocky/soda/candies, smoking, experimenting, loud rock music, rainy days, Hibiki Taichou.
Peeves:Annoying people, humans, sour foods, warm days, opera music.

Background: Known around the Soul Society for being the youngest of the vice-captains and his experimentation on live subjects, Shin Takayanagi’s advancement to his position in Division Twelve has been questioned many times. All these questions however are alleviated by Shin’s history, his high level of intelligence and relentless dedication when it comes to his work. His experiments have made numerous breakthroughs in reiatsu research, and have paved the way to synthesizing a new injection to give shinigami that “extra boost” when they need it on the battle field. His life however wasn't always that of experiments and battle. He grew up in one of the worst parts of the Rukongai; and almost died from sickness on a few occasions. He lived that way until only be luck, was he found by a small group of shinigami returning from hunting down hollows. Believing that he needed medical care, they took him back with them, and the rest was history.

Reason For Choosing Juunibantai: Other than loving his job as a scientist, he also greatly admires Miko Hibiki. Ever since he first read some of her work, he had wanted to work for her and no one else. Because of that, he joined the academy and put his mind on becoming a member of Juunibantai. Basically, he has dedicated a good portion of his life to becoming Hibiki.

Zanpakuto Name: Suijin
Sealed Description:

Minus it’s twin blades, Suijin is a rather plain katana, with a very basic look tsuba and black leather wrapping on the hilt. Even its sheath is basic, being just black with bronze accents.

Shikai Ability: The first sign that Shin has used his shikai is the sudden, torrential downpour, which he will use for several things from hiding his presence during missions to causing puddles for his shikai’s main ability; he will utilize it any time possible. The main ability of the shikai is allowing Shin to “teleport” from one puddle to the next, which he chooses among any within a given area. He will use this to avoid attacks and counter attack, and it can only be used while it is raining.

“God today sucks…” Shin said to himself as he walked down a crowed street towards Juunibantai. The sky was a brilliant blue; not a cloud to be seen, not a small wisp off on the distance. This was the sort of weather that Shin greatly disliked. It was warm and dry, his throat sore from being parched. Though, amidst his great discomfort, Shin was still rather happy to be out of his lab. He was running an errand for his Taichou, Miko Hibiki. Though the things he had to pick up were great oddities to most, to Shin, however basic they were in the lab, had great importance. He tightened his grip on the backpack shoulder strap and continued on his way, continuing on his trip which seemed never ending. “Psh… children playing. Perfect experimental specimens going to waste.” He thought morbidly as he glanced over at a playground. Shin’s tendency to experiment on living shinigami has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion. This doesn’t stop him; to him sacrifices have to be made for their advancement of knowledge. It was only a short time there after before he finally made the final leg of his journey. Off in the distance he could see his Taichou, waiting for him to return with the supplies she requested. Upon arriving he gave her a deep bow while greeting her respectfully, “I have acquired all of the supplies you requested, Hibiki Taichou.”

Personality:
Generally, Kokuro is polite to everyone he's met. Only having been outside of 12th a few times, he
hasn't had much interaction with anyone outside of the Division.
He loves to draw, and is an expert at it. He's drawn various landscapes, scenery, and even people, whether they knew it or not.*
Due to being an experiment of Hibiki Mikoto and Takayanagi Shin, he's very loyal to both, and will do about anything either would ask of him.
Preferences: Drawing; learning what he can from and about others; wandering around
Peeves: Not being able to wander when/where he wants; when people don't speak highly of Hibiki and Shin;
Background:
Having been created in a 12th Division lab, Kokuro has no past of his own.
When he's not being taught by Hibiki or Shin, he uses his free time to study and learn what he can by watching others and at times, by talking with them. To keep the other shinigami from attacking him, the 12th Division insignia has been placed as a small tattoo on his neck, close to his jawline. There are times he uses a light cover of make-up to hide it, but makes sure it's easily removable in case the need would arise.

Powers & Abilities:
* By mixing his blood with ink, Kokuro is able to control what he draws. This ranges from destroying various buildings and creating materials such as rope, to controlling people. He can control only two specific beings at a time, and must know their location. To keep things mildly entertaining for himself, he tends to get closer to his targets than needed.
Note; His blood bonds the ink to the paper, preventing it from being able to smeared by touch or liquids.

Weapon:
Two daggers that are attached to his wrists by two chains, one for each wrist. The chains are used to allow Kokuro to return the daggers to his hands after throwing them at his target. To prevent the chains from being easily broken, he threads his reiatsu throughout both constantly, more-so during battle.
Due to the daggers, he prefers to use stealth.

Background: a strange human when he was alive, he was known for finding humor in everything, making him a beloved friend, quick to bring a laugh to a friend in need. but one day, he was in an accident, and his humor was misunderstood. the other man slammed a brick into his head, killing him instantly. during his time at the academy, he was renowned for being a class clown, despite his knowledge.
